Hi guys anyone heard about using diazepam prior to embryo transfer? I’ve heard it helps relax uterine lining and help the process but not that much evidence for its use. I’m going to be using it for a few days after getting it from my GP today for my back muscles which are still tight. Wondered if it was worth saving a tablet for the transfer day next week?

@MollyVanDer I’m good thanks. We have a consultation with a new clinic tomorrow so fingers crossed.

@Bluehawaii29 what did the GP say about your back. I had really bad back pain during my last 2WW. The clinic were adamant it was not anything to do with the ivf and told me I must have slept funny or injured it.

@Jennie154 same here! They just dismissed it saying nothing to do with their medication but I was getting joint pains and fatigue from the first week of taking the oestrogen tablets and then my back got weaker and eventually gave way last Thursday but luckily body seems to be doing better on the higher dose funnily enough. GP thought it was muscular and said just use diazepam 1 tablet today to relax it which it has already helped so much. can actually touch my toes again and managed to do light stretching exercises which was nice. he said try your best to do light exercises and not rely on the diazepam, I’m only thinking of having 1 tablet tomorrow just to relax me a bit more and then maybe last one on weds. Just wanted to know if anyone has been given it pre embryo transfer as have been reading it is as effective as hypnosis prior to ET and can help as an anxiolytic/ relax the uterine lining ready for implantation. Was debating whether to save a tablet for next weds as last time I was very stressed out and found the procedure uncomfortable!

Got a little bleed today, it's exactly a week today since transfer? Seems to be like implantation bleed (I had a strong IB with my son 5 years ago). But surely that is too late for that? Could it be spotting for early period? I am on 400mg cyclogest x twice daily.

I had a bit of a day today after going for my 3rd stims scan, the sonographer said EC wednesday, which was ideal as my stims ran out. Then i got a call this afternoon to come back & pick up more Ovaleap and have EC this thursday, as the consultant wanted one more day on stims. Luckily i was able to come back and was WFH! Seems like you have to be quite flexible during IVF, at my clinic anyway!

@WhiteLily86 I'm alsoon 400mg cyclo twice a day. Had light bleeding for couple of hours day after ET but that's it. Have you had cramps similar to af? It could be just your lining being super sensitive from the progesterone. Such a confusing time isn't it

Hi ladies. I'm 7DP5DT and testing negative. Anyone else an early tester and had a BFP later that this point? In the past I've always had BFP around 5DP5DT but still no sign of AF. Thanks x

Yes had like a heavy feeling in my lower stomach last day or two. Which can be period or can be early pregnancy. I got a 4AA transferred and everything has been so positive so far.

Praying this isn't it over already. I think I will get an idea by tomorrow if there is more bleeding.

So annoyed this could be it.

Anyone had an IB this late? 7 days after ET? Give me some hope 😕

My consultant just emailed me back:
‘ Diazepam before the transfer would be fine. Would avoid it the 24 hours before. ’

Thanks @IE00 - I haven’t had any bleeding, not yet at least. On your question, my first, second and fourth transfers I was on 2x cyclogest a day and didn’t bleed until I stopped meds. Third transfer was a chemical and no bleeding then until I stopped, either. The fifth transfer I started bleeding (only a little) the day before OTD and so for this transfer they’ve added in Lubion.

I’m on 9dp5dt now. I thought that maybe (but may have been hope blinding me) my breasts were slightly swollen at the weekend but they just seem normal now. Still getting some twinges but very on and off and again, may be digestion.

Has anyone found they have a dry mouth on progesterone? It’s not completely dry, more that sort of ‘tacky’ feeling like if you’re hungover. Worse when I wake up in the night. Definitely drinking enough to be hydrated though.

It could be old blood from transfer . What colour blood is it ? Hoping its just that for you .

I did get some about day 10 last time . The clinic didn't seem phased by it and told me to cotinue taking my progesterone x hope your okay .

@WhiteLily86 have you checked with your clinic? If it’s ok to ask, what colour was the blood? If it’s brown it’s old but you’re only seeing it now.

Thanks all for responses. No it is fresh blood - pinky/red, same as when I had IB with my son.

So frustrating.

@WhiteLily86 I hope that it's just a late IB for you or just irritation from the progesterone. It's only been a week so I'd assume more IB than period! Especially since it'd be so early and you're on progesterone.. got everything crossed for you that it's all positive x

@StillTrying10000 I think @Mochii had nothing and then a BFP at 8dpt! There’s still a chance. Are you using a FRER?

@WhiteLily86 how are you doing? Have you had any more bleeding? It could easily be IB or irritation from pessaries, particularly if it’s intermittent. Have you used those pessaries before? x

@crazycatlady1981 it was last Monday. So not including Monday it's 8dp5dt. Of 2 4BB eeekkk . I want to get excited but I'll wait until I get my bloods done on Saturday x. That was a cheapie test off ebay. So im hoping it's legit!

@crazycatlady1981 Oww wow. I'm 8DP5DT now but it's totally negative. My temperature is still high which was giving me optimism but reading online if I was going to be testing positive it looks like the line would have shown itself by now. Yes always FRER test. I just don't know what else to try now. It's my 4th cycle and just feels silly do the same thing every month expecting a different response ;-( x
