@Gigi89x yours sounds closer to me, but still my clinic would say to me 11 days is early and I should have waited for OTD 😂

IVFGotThis05 · 07/03/2022 11:45

@Gigi89x Ahh was it ! How you finding the 2ww? congrats on pupo too! I hope we all get some lovely little bfps! :)

Bluehawaii29 · 07/03/2022 12:07

Anyone else got the sneezes? 🤧 I’ve been non stop sneezing and stuffy nose since yesterday

Gigi89x · 07/03/2022 12:30

@IVFGotThis05 🤞🏻 fingers crossed we do!! Im not finding it too bad, but would like to know asap 🤣

@Bluehawaii29 no i haven't had a cold luckily! 🤧

Bluehawaii29 · 07/03/2022 12:32

@Gigi89x luckily it’s not a cold but more like allergy. Just annoying I can’t take any antihistamine

Gigi89x · 07/03/2022 12:34

@Bluehawaii29 didn't you say you had a rash too from the lubion? Has it gone now?

Bluehawaii29 · 07/03/2022 12:59

@Gigi89x oh yeah those rashes tends to disappear by themselves within a few hrs. So far not too many rashes like that although can get quite itchy on my back in the evenings when I’m particularly hot. I remember this happened last time I was on progesterone too

Justawannabemam · 07/03/2022 13:25

Hello ladies, I had my f/up with my clinic after failed cycle and they suggested short protocol instead of another long one again. I have unexplained infertility, 38yrs. We are both not firmly convinced if we want to go with the same clinic again, so looking for a new clinic in London while we make up my mind? I've booked us on few open evening etc., but prefer to hear from someone who is happy with their clinic.. Would you recommend your clinics?

ty1982 · 07/03/2022 13:56

Hi just wondering what does a short protocol and a natural cycle consist of? My OTD is negative and just wondering if I should try a different protocol next time?

Overlyanxious · 07/03/2022 14:07

@ReadyForTheAdventure I'm with London Women's clinic Harley Street and I really like them. They are all so lovely and helpful. I however used donor eggs so I don't have experience of the egg collection side.

Mochii · 07/03/2022 14:41

@ReadyForTheAdventure I wouldn’t recommend abc/create

PaxRomana · 07/03/2022 15:00

Negative blood test for me today. Being a natural pessimist I’d assumed it would be but still feeling pretty crap.

Gigi89x · 07/03/2022 15:01

@ReadyForTheAdventure are you looking for London only? Or any surrounding areas?

IVFGotThis05 · 07/03/2022 15:14

@ty1982 and @PaxRomana I'm so sorry for your news. It's never easy. I hope you get some better news next time. Be kind to yourself Flowers

Gigi89x · 07/03/2022 15:17

@PaxRomana i'm so sorry to hear this, will you be having another cycle?

ReadyForTheAdventure · 07/03/2022 15:24

Hi @ty1982 sorry to hear about your negative result. I'm not exactly sure what does it consist of but Dr said that they would use different stims another time as I didnt respond well whilst on long protocol. I was on Buseralin first, and as stims I had Benfola.

EasterBunny7 · 07/03/2022 16:03

Don't understand why frozen protocol is not working for me Sad

In the 14 days since my baseline scan, my uterus lining has only grown 0.9mm!!

So scared of this cycle being cancelled Sad

Has anyone faced problems with their uterus lining and how was it rectified?

Bluehawaii29 · 07/03/2022 16:11

@EasterBunny7 what does your lining measure now? Are you not on 4 tablets a day yet? X

PaxRomana · 07/03/2022 16:13

Thank you for the commiserations. Sorry to everyone else in the same shitty situation.

We’ll probably go for one more - we only got one go on the NHS so it will be private (nothing to freeze unfortunately). The consultant already had some ideas about how to tweak medications from this cycle (so was pretty clued up it wouldn’t work, both myself and DH are medical and work in related areas so definitely no sugar coating!).

I want a bit of time first, big project coming up at work which I might get through then go again.

Think it might be a pub tea for us tonight (with wine, not a bloody Diet Coke!).

Bluehawaii29 · 07/03/2022 16:46

@PaxRomana aww really sorry it didn’t work out this time. In our area it’s one fresh nhs cycle too and one frozen cycle. We were lucky enough to have frozen ones from first cycle so this round is last funded on on nhs but we paid for the embryo glue add on. I’m medical too, what did they suggest for how to tweak it next time. My one got changed in the sense they suggested transferring two instead of one and increasing progesterone with injection as well as pessaries. Also had a blood test to check progesterone level around the time of embryo transfer too and they suggested the glue due to previous failure and not sure if was implantation failure since we used a 5AA 5 day blastocyst

IE00 · 07/03/2022 16:52

So sorry to hear about all the bad news. Hope you are all getting enough support.

I spoke to the doc and they advised they will up my progesterone to 1200mg next cycle. I found this study, which seems to advise it - www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6046522/

Funny how the research can be so mixed, as I remember there was another study about too much progesterone Confused

PaxRomana · 07/03/2022 16:53

We had two transferred this time. From a very casual conversation I think more drugs for a slightly longer time, we’ve not really discussed it in depth though as we were all maintaining the polite fiction that this go might work. Seems really unfair that you learn so much from the first go but then don’t have an opportunity on the NHS (locally) to use that knowledge.

Bluehawaii29 · 07/03/2022 17:01

@PaxRomana yea I think if this doesn’t work I’ll still continue at the C&W clinic as my frozen embryos are there and was happy with the service/ want the continuity. Can I ask what made them transfer two on your first cycle?

Bluehawaii29 · 07/03/2022 17:07

@IE00 this is good to know. What were you on for your first cycle?
