Quick one for those who have ahad a 6week scan is it a ultrasound over the stomach or the wander up my fu fu again ? I'm wondering if I need to wax ! The joys hey .

@Eggbert83 glad you feel reassured! This was our first cycle so have no experience of anything else but it worked great for me and a couple I know who went to the same clinic also had a great number of eggs and 4 frozen embryos. They conceived first time. I also have 4 frozen embryos and a BFP. Hope it's just as lucky for you too. I know what you mean about developing an attachment to your frozen one, it has overcome all obstacles, I don't blame you for wanting to give it a shot. Little fighter 💪🏼

@LBalf I don't know much about betas I'm afraid to know which number is good, but I'm praying it doubles or more for you in the next couple of days 🤍 you deserve it. I'm so sorry for your losses.

Thanks @xreadytoglow and @mochii I hope they double a bit too. 36 is considered low and I expect the Dr will say it's not viable but I'm determined to make the test on Monday just to make sure and confirm.

@Justawannabemam I had my 7w scan yesterday - it was an internal one where they had a good poke around to check on my ovaries as well as the fate of the two ETs, one of which had a heart beat. Good luck with yours… still anxious times 🤞

@Justawannabemam the 6 week scan is vaginal! I hope it goes really well.

@LBalf, I don't know about Betas either as haven't gotten as far as you yet but wanted to wish you lots of luck. Rooting for you.

@Justawannabemam not quite yet, they want me back in 2w to check no complications with the second sac which was visible, but appeared empty/charge another £175… but will be good to (hopefully) get extra confidence the other one is still ok. 12w feels a world away…

@xreadytoglow thank you, nice to know they both survived and one actually expanded further which the embryologist was really happy about. Also had female consultant do the transfer this time who I am familiar with and she did it so painlessly. Just relieved to not have a full bladder anymore 😂

I've had a turbulent day. EC went well 6 collected, we were only expecting 4. Although we've just heard from the embryologist and only 1 is mature they were expecting 3 to be mature.

From the last two cycles I've had 9 eggs collected and 1 mature.

Does anyone have any advice on what I should ask my consultant?

I've heard some people have had double triggers to help egg maturity but not sure why or what type.

We wait to see if the one survives but strong possibility that we are going to have another cycle that doesn't lead to a transfer. So sad.

@MollyVanDer So sorry to hear that. We had unexpected success (euploidy embryo) from a cycle where only one egg fertilised, so really hope your little one goes the distance, it can happen. But I know how awful it feels to get that call letting you know all your hopes are on one. Take really good care of yourself, its so stressful.

I am now entering into a second egg collection where everything has been changed up, inc a double trigger so will be able to share in a couple of weeks if it has made any difference for me. Last time I had 12 follicles, 8 were retrieved and only 3 were mature but two didn't fertilise so may have also been on the under ripe size. I felt absolutely crest fallen having gone through all the preparation and injections and expense.

@Eggbert83 i had a double shot of Ovitrelle, they were debating wether to do one or two just before. Im not sure what makes them decide if its one or two thats needed

@Gigi89x Yes! Ovitrelle, that was the one I had in single dose. Don't know where I was getting F from! Friday brain!!

@MollyVanDer I hope you have a fighter there but I know it is hard to see the positive side at the moment and it is very stressful
waiting for the updates. That was the worst part for me on my fresh cycle. Hope you are ok

@IVFGotThis05 I’m on day 7 after frozen transfer, how are you feeling? I’ve no symptoms and kina worried, for about 10 mins the day after transfer I felt very hot, back pain and nauseous but nothing since!

@Bluehawaii29 my works been quite busy so thats helped as otherwise i keep counting down the days! Do you have a longer duration till your OTD because you had a FET? My ET was tuesday this week x

@Gigi89x I’m not sure why its like that tbh but they always calculate 14 days later. they let me FaceTime my husband with embryologist today which was really nice. He felt involved and he didn’t even remember we got a scan photo of it last time but this time he was admiring it

@MollyVanDer I don't have any advice as I used donor eggs, but sending you lots of luck

The progesterone was 55 I forgot to mention. Consultant said she was very happy with that as anything above 30 they like it to be. At least managed to clear that doubt up this time
