@Bluehawaii29 Thank you, and big congrats on being PUPO! All sounds really positive

Bluehawaii29 · 04/03/2022 20:57

@eggbert83 thank you :) I’m pleased that I haven’t obsessed over grades or anything this time and I’ve managed without Google so far so I’m not going to go down that road again. Just will try a new tactic of relaxing and remaining positive and just living in the present instead of wishing the days away in the 2WW. Easier said than done though I know!

Bluehawaii29 · 04/03/2022 20:59

The nurse even said oh your birthday is later this month but I tried to put that out of my mind and not have too many expectations. It’s hard when you have a failed cycle to be so naive and think it will definitely work but I will and be cautiously optimistic as they say 🤞☺️

Eggbert83 · 04/03/2022 22:40

@Bluehawaii29 Totally get it. I think we are naturally primed to expect the worse and prepare ourselves for it thinking that will make handling it easier if things do go that way, but it doesn't! But it sounds like you have absolutely every reason to be hopeful, and such a good sign to get encouraging feedback from the embryologist on the very day of transfer! Hoping for the best for you and if you need any rubbish (read: satisfying!) TV recommendations in the meantime to keep you distracted I have plenty of suggestions!!

Bluehawaii29 · 04/03/2022 22:47

@Eggbert83 aww thank you! we just watched a comedy stand up on Netflix, laughed so much, really needed that. Would be great to hear your suggestions too! Just going to be at home this weekend xx

MollyVanDer · 05/03/2022 13:35

How's everyone holding up on their 2WW or post EC wait?

We've had a call with the embryologist today and of our 6 eggs collected and only one mature yesterday there are now 3 mature, one is fertilised and there is hope for 1 more which is close to maturing. 2 are out. So, we currently have hope with 4. Another call expected this afternoon with some more news as they ICSI the two that matured overnight and to see if the other one reaches maturity later.

Jennie154 · 05/03/2022 15:25

@MollyVanDer that’s great news. Fingers crossed.

NaomiNatNat · 05/03/2022 16:01

@Bluehawaii29 well done 😊

Bluehawaii29 · 05/03/2022 16:06

@MollyVanDer that’s good news, fingers crossed the ICSI ones do well so you might have 4 potentials x

@NaomiNatNat thank you x
Today is an anticlimax after such an exciting day yesterday. Don’t feel any different really. Just been distracting my mind playing video games but now my thumbs are sore and may have to take a break and do something else 🤔 feels like nothing is happening in there but I know it’s impossible to tell. Trying my best just to let nature take its course

IVFGotThis05 · 05/03/2022 17:09

@HomeHope ahh are you ! Congratulations on being pupo! When is your otd? My clinic do 9 days after transfer so mine is Wednesday. Have you been tempted to test ? I'm trying my hardest not to because I broke my own heart earlier than I needed to.

MollyVanDer · 05/03/2022 17:27

Thanks @Bluehawaii29 and @Jennie154

We had good news again this afternoon we now have 4 eggs that have undergone ICSI. One is fertilised we will know tomorrow how many of the 3 eggs fertilise tomorrow.

@Bluehawaii29 how are you finding Lubion? Any tips to not get big bruises?

@Jennie154 how's your journey going? Have you made any more plans for another round?

Bluehawaii29 · 05/03/2022 17:31

@MollyVanDer ahh best of luck for tomorrow 🤞🤞
Lubion has been a pain from the start. I thought it would get easier but it’s still pretty painful each time at the injection site. I don’t have any visible bruises but feels bruised. My husband normally pinches the skin for me. I try and choose a flabby bit and then aim the needle at 90 degrees. Slowly inject the fluid and then hold it there for a few seconds before withdrawing. There is always a small bled of fluid after but no blood. How long have you been on it now? x

Jennie154 · 05/03/2022 17:36

@MollyVanDer I start my stims tonight. Trying some different drugs and a higher dose this time.

MollyVanDer · 05/03/2022 18:37

@Bluehawaii29 I start mine tonight. I did have a couple of Lubion injections before my last cycle cancelled and I just remember my tummy being so tender afterwards. Worse injection for me :/

MollyVanDer · 05/03/2022 18:38

@Jennie154 all the best for tonight and the start of your stims

Bluehawaii29 · 05/03/2022 18:42

@MollyVanDer yes I agree the small needle they give is very deceiving because I found it the most painful of the lot

Bluehawaii29 · 05/03/2022 18:58

@MollyVanDer spoke too soon about no blood coming out. Had some blood this eve and most painful one yet 😰

Overlyanxious · 05/03/2022 21:02

Hello all and congrats.

I'm similar timing to you @willowtree95

Hi @xreadytoglow and @Justawannabemam I'm here now from the IVF chat. Today is was my test day and got my bfp. Waiting for results from my bloods. Scan booked for 31st March.

Overlyanxious · 05/03/2022 21:03

Ah wrong chat - sorry everyone

Overlyanxious · 05/03/2022 21:19

@MollyVanDer that's great about the eggs

@Bluehawaii29 playing video games is a great way to keep your mind of it, but it's so difficult to not think about it

Bluehawaii29 · 05/03/2022 21:25

@Overlyanxious aww congrats! So happy you got your BFP xx
Yeah most of the day spent playing video games, was the only way could get through it but around dinner time I had a wobbly and felt this sudden negative feeling again imagining that negative test again and got myself upset but thankfully managed to snap back out of it with my partners help. I think it’s going to be hard to maintain a stable frame of mind of the next days but will try my best 🤞

Overlyanxious · 05/03/2022 21:42

@Bluehawaii29 thank you very much Smile it's all a bit surreal and I'm quite anxious as have had a miscarriage before.

Well done getting out of that negative space. I was so negative last week and struggled to get out of it.

Bluehawaii29 · 05/03/2022 21:49

@Overlyanxious aww I hope this one is the one for you. Exciting about your scan being end of this month. But I know it must seem a long time🤞
Yeah I’m just annoyed with myself after the team did such a good job saying so many positive things yesterday. Even talking about twins being a strong possibility in my situation and I feel like I’ve let myself down again letting the negativity creep in just the next day! Hoping tomorrow I’ll feel a bit more happier x

Freya871 · 05/03/2022 22:07

all,
Sorry if I’ve posted this in the wrong place (please just let me know and I’ll delete).
Just wondering if anyone has had any experience with my current situation- I don’t mind if it’s negative of positive, but I’ve been scrolling the internet for hours and can’t find anything similar.

I am 4dp5dt. Having ivf due to PCOS. I had a medicated frozen transfer and started spotting a day after the transfer. The clinic said this could just be from touching my cervix (I had a small cervical ectropion).
After two more days of spotting (light red), I woke up this morning to a bright red bleed (light but more than spotting).
The clinic have added lubion injections today to try and help but they really worried me as the nurse said I definitely shouldn’t be bleeding this early on.
I have done a FRER today and it was negative.
I can accept this cycle may have failed but now I’m panicking that there’s something really wrong.

Has anyone else experienced red bleeding this early on after transfer and then gone on to have a successful cycle on the next round?

Thanks
Freya

@W1ngingit hi, got my 6week scan this Monday coming. Ive had cramps on/off whole time but Tues I asked for nurse to call me back as I felt it was different was like a stitch at my left ovary. And was their the whole day and I'm on my feet at work and I was aware of it even more so if I tried to walk fast. Nurse reassured me and said as not accompanied by back pain, spotting she said she wasnt top concerned. It did only last that day and went back to the normal symptoms I have been getting. Just want this scan on Monday and get told everything is OK. How far along are you?
