@Bluehawaii29 I'm just on the pessaries. I get a fair amount of discharge as well. Can you arrange some regular blood tests for the progesterone so that you can feel more assured?

Bluehawaii29 · 02/03/2022 10:28

This was consultants response: ‘As you are also on Cylogest, we use 1 dose of Lubion. Lubion BD would be if you weren't taking cyclogest.’ Looks like I’ll be sticking with this regime then but I did just ask her about pessaries three times a day so will let you know what she says about that too x
@Overlyanxious that would be nice but unfortunately they won’t budge whatever I say so I guess it’s just a wait and pray approach for the next few weeks at least x
@IVFGotThis05 heyy I was just thinking about you today as hadn’t heard back. Glad you took some time to do what’s best for you and keeping off phone sounds like a nice way to unwind after your transfer. Really pleased it went well and you are officially PUPO. Wishing you lots of baby dust 🤞🤞 my transfer is on Friday pm but I’m off with my husband now so just keeping busy with him and also our dog is not too well with a sickness bug so that’s also keeping us distracted. Hope he gets better soon but he ate well today so fingers crossed no more vomiting/ diarrhoea! X

tulipsandsnow · 02/03/2022 11:18

@Bluehawaii29

‘Serum progesterone levels greater than 32.5 ng/ml on the day of embryo transfer are associated with lower live birth rate after artificial endometrial preparation’. As the article above states it’s a fine balance so I don’t want to risk upping dose too much either. Will definitely not make any changes unless consultant thinks it’s necessary. I guess they are the experts but still would be good to have more blood tests just for that reassurance factor
You might already be aware, but just in case someone else reading isn't- 32.5ng/ml is 103.35 nmol/L, nmol being the units usually used in UK :)
Bluehawaii29 · 02/03/2022 11:29

@tulipsandsnow would you know what the equivalent is for 10-20? As I’ve heard they aim for that kind of level by embryo transfer day

tulipsandsnow · 02/03/2022 11:59

@Bluehawaii29 31.8 - 63.6 :)

Bluehawaii29 · 02/03/2022 12:09

@tulipsandsnow ok thank you xx
I hope mine is at least over 30 by Friday. The consultant thought the reason it was 34 day 10 post transfer last time was likely due to start of my period as no pregnancy happened that time so fingers crossed level is ok 🤞

Frenchiepupmama · 02/03/2022 12:28

Hey everyone, I've not been on in while, I wasn't getting the updates on my fone for some reason. Hope everyone is doing OK. I'm due my early scan appointment on Monday. Its been a long wait and I have called the clinic today and waiting for nurse to call me back... I have been having cramps on n off last few weeks but specifically today its been right at my left side near ovary. Almost like stitch feeling and twinges very much at that side. I couldn't walk fast if u needed to... Very aware of it compared to other cramp/twinges. Hoping the nurse can put me at ease... I am in a job where I'm on my feet most of the time so I hoping just related to that.... 😔 Anyone at the same point of early scan and if so symptoms? Wishing everyone luck on their journeys x

Is it possible for uterus lining to increase by 4mm in 5 days alone?!

Had a disappointing scan today where my uterus lining is 4.8mm. It was 4mm just 8 days ago. Sad

Feeling very scared that this cycle will be cancelled now.

crazycatlady1981 · 02/03/2022 13:38

So I decided this morning to hold off peeing for 5 hours and test at lunchtime with a FRER! I think I got a squinter! It was there just after 3 mins. I think it’s likely to be a chemical as it’s so barely there, but I will carry on with progesterone and maybe test either tomorrow or Friday morning and see if it’s disappeared or got stronger! 🤞🏻

Overlyanxious · 02/03/2022 13:40

@EasterBunny7 unfortunately I'm not sure. What has your Dr/clinic said about increasing it?

@crazycatlady1981 yes I can see that squinter. Keeping fingers crossed

Bluehawaii29 · 02/03/2022 13:40

Hi @EasterBunny7 I’m sorry to hear that’s a worry for you. To give you a rough idea my lining increased by 1.7mm in 7 days from 6.9mm to 8.6mm last Friday. That was on oestrogen 8mg daily (what are you on?). I read on Google average increase on this dose can be 0.4mm every couple of days which would make sense. I’m not sure if the rate can go that much faster

xreadytoglow · 02/03/2022 13:48

@Frenchiepupmama hope your scan goes okay and your pains/cramps are nothing to worry about.

@EasterBunny7 sorry to hear that.. I hope it does grow enough for you. I only had my lining checked once so have no idea how long it took to grow. Sending lots of positive thoughts your way 🤍

@crazycatlady1981 I see it! Did your clinic say much about your progesterone? I hope it gets darker for you and it's not a chemical 🤞🏼

LuckyNovember · 02/03/2022 13:55

@crazycatlady1981 I can see it 🙌🏻 lunchtime is only ever going to be a tease! Try first thing in the morning next time 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

NaomiNatNat · 02/03/2022 14:21

@crazycatlady1981 There is a line there 🤞 Does anyone else find 2nd MU to work best? I've had more 1st MU stark whites and more lines on 2nd MU

LBalf · 02/03/2022 14:24

So I went ahead and did the official test the clinic gave me. It's lighter than I would have hoped (fmu) but it's still there! Also git my first round of betas done should hear by Friday. I'm guessing from the line that it's not going to be high.
I read week 4 should be anywhere from 10- 180. Anyone know any more?

@crazycatlady1981 don't beat yourself up, what dpt are you?

crazycatlady1981 · 02/03/2022 14:29

Thanks ladies! 😀 DH came home briefly at lunchtime but wasn’t over impressed by my squinter! 😂

@NaomiNatNat @LuckyNovember I’ve only ever used first MU before so this is first one using second MU! Will defo try it either tomorrow or Friday with FMU!

@xreadytoglow apparently my progesterone has always been ok (but on the lower side) on the few tests I’ve had done! It’s usually around 36 at day 21. But they’ve never tested it during an actual ivf cycle, only on trial cycles and during my first investigations.

crazycatlady1981 · 02/03/2022 14:31

@LBalf ooh that’s definitely more obvious than mine! 😬 I’m at 10dp5dt now! How about you?

Bluehawaii29 · 02/03/2022 15:03

Wow such a rollercoaster with this testing. Don’t think I could handle the uncertainty so makes me more inclined to just wait for OTD but glad it’s looking very hopeful for you @crazycatlady1981 @LBalf

IVFGotThis05 · 02/03/2022 15:05

@Bluehawaii29 Thank you so much :)

Ah I was about to say having time off around this time sounds ideal, I'm a little wishing I had another day or two off now but at least I will be kept busy at work !

Aw no I'm so sorry your dog is unwell, I bet that's keeping you occupied ! Not what you want! Fingers crossed they're on the mend soon ! :)

Ooo all of these lines are very good news ! Keep it coming ladies, congratulations!

Mochii · 02/03/2022 15:29

Congratulations @LBalf!!

I have sadly become quite used to going through beta numbers recently. Most clinics base it off day 12 post transfer for a 5 day embryo and suggest it should be over 100. Others are over 200 on 14 days post transfer. Some (mine) will consider the pregnancy viable if the hcg doubles in 48 hours regardless of the original value, but will only do one hcg if it’s above the threshold. Others will not consider it viable even if it does double unless it starts at above those levels, so in my case where it started at 17 but tripled, they would deem this not viable. They seem to consider ectopic if it’s not doubling but increasing. Your line looks pretty dark though compared to mine so I don’t think you’ll need to worry!

EasterBunny7 · 02/03/2022 15:59

@Overlyanxious @Bluehawaii29 @xreadytoglow

They have increased my dosage from 4mg to 6mg. But, if the lining grows 0.4mm every two days on 8mg, I have no hope!

Nothing is ever simple with me Sad

W1ngingit · 02/03/2022 16:05

@LBalf congrats. That's a very strong line. When talking about betas, what are you referring to? HCG levels? Sorry for my ignorance!

@crazycatlady1981 hang in there. I saw the squinter as did others!

@Frenchiepupmama is this your 6 week scan? I am having terrible cramps and stabbing pains that are very irregular. Too early to be round ligament pain and I'm at an earlier stage. Hope your scan went well x

Bluehawaii29 · 02/03/2022 16:23

@IVFGotThis05 thank you :) yes it’s definitely a distraction but we are so pleased he’s much better today and we are at pets at home enjoying our time with him ❤️ He will always be our little fur baby. @EasterBunny7 I can imagine it must be really stressful when your deadline seems short for transfer but just try and stay positive and maybe ask if you can be on 8mg?

I’ve had good news back from consultant who has booked me in for a progesterone blood test tomorrow so they will have results back for that on Friday and then can make decision on transfer day whether I need to be on twice daily Lubion or not 🤞so glad I chased it now

EasterBunny7 · 02/03/2022 16:42

@Bluehawaii29

Thanks. First thing I did after seeing you were on 8mg was get in touch with my clinic. They told me it's their policy to increase in 2mg increments only.

Bluehawaii29 · 02/03/2022 16:43

@EasterBunny7 do you know when the next scan will be to check. I understand they are playing it safe by doing the 2mg increments. I was on 6mg from the start of my cycle though so that’s strange why you were on 4mg. There seems to be so many difference between clinics!
