@W1ngingit yes sorry, the hCG levels! I've only had them done once after a positive test and that was a few years back and sadly ended in MMC a week later.

@crazycatlady1981 the tests are very different lovely I wouldn't let it worry you at all. A line is a line 👌❤️ And there's a definate line on yours

@Mochii you poor thing. Sometimes being an expert at something isn't for the best reasons. I thought it might, as you said, be a case of making a threshold. I have a other Monday as course.

Overlyanxious · 02/03/2022 18:40

@Bluehawaii29 that's good news they are testing your progesterone

@LBalf I'm so sorry you had a MMC previously.

Bluehawaii29 · 02/03/2022 19:12

@Overlyanxious thank you, yes it’s not something they do as standard but she understood why I was anxious and has ordered it as urgent so they’ll be back in time for Friday and will need to get way more boxes of Lubion anyway as they only gave me two last week with just 7 vials in each box 🙄

Bluehawaii29 · 02/03/2022 19:15

@Mochii hi I didn’t quite understand you last message. What do your results mean? x

Mochii · 02/03/2022 20:07

@Bluehawaii29 17 is considered a non viable pregnancy at 12dpt by some clinics so I am likely to miscarry

Bluehawaii29 · 02/03/2022 20:30

@Mochii aww that is not nice to know from the start ❤️‍🩹 how do you feel about continuing the meds knowing that they are thinking this? Xx

Overlyanxious · 02/03/2022 20:32

@Mochii are they going to keep testing? I'm sorry this is happening - it sounds so stressful

Mochii · 02/03/2022 20:36

I will keep continuing right until the end even though there is not much chance. I’ve read online that people with similar numbers have had births so even if it is a minimal chance I will still take it.

No more tests now, just a scan on the 14th. I can choose to do another hcg but I don’t think I’ll bother. From the last results they’ve said they are as reassured as they can be at this stage after the initial low value, so the only thing I can do is wait!

MollyVanDer · 02/03/2022 20:42

I'm keeping hope for you @Mochii really hope you beat the odds.

I'm also trying to keep hope. Had my third scan today and have 4 follicles; 21, 18, 16 and 13mm. There are also 4 between 6-10mm. We are triggering tonight at 9.30pm with EC on Friday.

With such low numbers I think odds are against us. 37 with Amh of 6.7. From what I read, at my age 1 in 6 eggs are without chromosome defects.

Not looking forward to EC as I was really sick and fainted last time which caused a bad bump on the head and split lip in the clinic.

Anyone have any good stories from mature eggs coming from a 13mm follicle?

LuckyNovember · 02/03/2022 20:50

@MollyVanDer I spent quite a it of time working out similar calculations ☺️ I think anything over 14 can have a mature egg... and they keep growing a little bit after trigger 😉

... and even if not; it's worth it to save the 21mm, it's probably the one your body would have chosen, probably has the most energy which is why it grew fastest, and therefore maybe the best one, and if you kept going longer it risks being "overcooked"

Happy trigger and enjoy your needle-free 36 hours 🌼

LuckyNovember · 02/03/2022 20:56

@Mochii I've definitely also seen succès stories online where HCG starts off slow but catches up... and the clinic that thinks it's viable is every bit as qualified as the more sceptical one. You'll anyway always be the one who believes in your kid the most; you're getting a head start! Really hoping you're one of those stories ⭐️

Bluehawaii29 · 02/03/2022 20:57

Just a question regarding nutrition. What are others mainly eating. I have been having 3 Brazilian nuts a day, pineapple core two times so far, avocado and extra virgin olive oil and activia yoghurt. Also lentils and kidney beans. I also have had the odd burger and bacon/ chicken sandwich etc.

Bluehawaii29 · 02/03/2022 21:01

I drink roughly two glasses of pomegranate juice a day too and daily pregnacare and cod liver oil, try and have a banana/apple a day too. It’s a bit of an effort for me to be this healthy if I’m honest!

Appleby11 · 02/03/2022 21:13

@Bluehawaii29 I ate a handfuls of almonds a day, kiwis, snacked on carrots. Just more fruit and veg really. But I can get really shaky and clammy if I don't eat regular things and healthy stuff helps that not happen as regularly. But I did get a negative so can't really say healthy eating helps my fertility 😂

Appleby11 · 02/03/2022 21:14

I have my doctors appointment tomorrow and am thinking about stuff to ask. I've seen a few of you mention hormone levels so will be asking about that. Is there anything else people consider important?

xreadytoglow · 02/03/2022 21:26

@Mochii everything crossed for you!! 🤞🏼

@MollyVanDer at my scan I only had 4 eggs 16mm+ then a 15mm and 14mm. So I was only expecting 6 mature eggs. I stimmed one extra morning after that and triggered that night and on EC I had 12 mature eggs collected so not sure what happened there 🧐 you never know, there could be more on the day.

@Bluehawaii29 I started my morning with pineapple on an empty stomach for a week, then a protein smoothie with fruit, kale, nut mix and berries. I'm also plant-based so eat fairly healthily with wholewheat foods, tofu, lentils, beans etc. I'm not sure how much nutrition really affects things but I feel like that's one thing I could have control of so made me feel better to eat good. I even turned down a takeaway the night before ET 😂 everyone else ate one except me

MollyVanDer · 02/03/2022 21:41

@xreadytoglow thanks for your message. It made me smile that you had some mature eggs creep up at the last hours before collection. What stims were you on?

Regards nutrition I'm trying to get 60g of protein a day via protein bars, eggs, chicken and nuts. I'm still having treats in the day like a few biscuits or a small choc bar. The most my follicles grew was the day after a dominoes when me and DW were so disappointed with our second scan results 😂

Bluehawaii29 · 02/03/2022 21:45

@Appleby11 are you doing a fresh cycle next or have some in the freezer. If you have more than 2 than maybe consider transferring 2. Hormone levels like progesterone are definitely worth asking about. Maybe see if they can do a blood test for you as close as ET day so then they can make the necessary adjustments. Pessaries vs injections in terms of administration as some people absorb injections better. Also possibly ask about add ons? Eg. Embryo glue, endometrial scratch, could consider PGT testing on embryos prior to transfer. Also there is ERA tests for the lining that can be done if implantation is thought to be an issue

xreadytoglow · 02/03/2022 21:46

@MollyVanDer 😊 Lots of twists and turns on this journey! I was on Gonal-f. Then my trigger was Buserelin & Gonasi together.

Bluehawaii29 · 02/03/2022 21:51

@xreadytoglow wow you are really healthy, wish I could enjoy those types of foods normally haha it would help a lot but feels like such a chore for me but I’ve got diced up pineapple in the fridge now from today and may try that idea about having it on an empty stomach. I saw something on Google about that. Does it matter if it’s just the core or can the fleshy bit also be just as good?

@MollyVanDer you sound a lot like my approach haha we also find snacks help especially with the stress and I’ve already had a few takeaways in the last few weeks. We had lunch at beefeater today Smile

Appleby11 · 02/03/2022 21:52

@Bluehawaii29 it's a frozen, and only have one left. I've been looking at low estrogen on Google too. I've been having night sweats for years, and my mum started the menopause in her 30s so potentially hereditary? I'll definitely be asking about low hormones levels. I'm going to be asking about all your points! She might hate me 😂 I'm off to Google ERA and PGT testing now. Thank you!

xreadytoglow · 02/03/2022 21:55

@Bluehawaii29 I never used to be and I still love my takeaways 😋 I just ate the flesh because I couldn't be bothered cutting a whole on up haha. I bought the packets of it already cut

Bluehawaii29 · 02/03/2022 22:04

@Appleby11 no probs! I would be the same, don’t feel bad about asking them loads of qs, it’s a massive step towards your future so they have to take you seriously and be patient x
@xreadytoglow that’s a great tip, yeah it’s bloody hard work cutting the whole pineapple, had to use a huge butchers knife today to do it and I know my husband won’t have a clue what he’s doing post transfer so I wanted to save as many slices as possible while I could 🤣

IE00 · 02/03/2022 22:38

@crazycatlady1981 and @LBalf congratulations! Flowers

@Mochii this is so stressful. You'll be in my thoughts. Crossing everything for you

W1ngingit · 02/03/2022 23:03

@Bluehawaii29 Hi - I saw that you posted this message to @Justawannabemam "found this : If the hCG level was greater than 600, the multiple pregnancy rate was 100% (7/7). Conclusions: These data support the hypothesis that hCG levels greater than 200 mIU/ml on 14 days post-ET are more likely to have ongoing pregnancies; hCG levels greater than 600 have a high likelihood of a multiple gestation pregnancy." Could you let me know the source please - if you still have it. I have had more results today and I'm at 968 and we put two embryos back. I am 13 dpt....

@Mochii are you able to do another hcg test? I'm really sorry you're getting this approach from two different clinics. I remember that the second clinic said they thought it was viable, are they just saying wait till scan on 14th with your original clinic? Keeping everything crossed for you! x
