Just done my first ever Lubion injection small steps! It was actually the smallest needle I’ve used so far in my ivf journey. Was more the pushing down on it for a long time as a lot of fluid in it and that was the slightly harder bit but luckily not that much stinging now ☺️

Anyone else experience an increase appetite on progesterone. I had a full dinner and now getting a burger from mcDs as still craving!

@LuckyNovember I'm on third cycle. Clinic has upped my Meriofert from 375 UI to 450 I'm responding much worse than I did on a previous cycle when I was on 300 UI I had 12 follicles, 9 eggs, 5 mature, 2 x day 5 blasts. I've had my day 8 scan today after taking 375 and I'm recording 6 follicles, one going backwards, and 4 all around 7mm. They've upped it to 400 ui and have said we may make a call to cancel this cycle if it's not going to produce good numbers.
My AMH is 6.0. It's just so disappointing when my body responds worse with higher dosages. Keeping everything crossed that going from 375 to 450 helps but I'm starting to think this cycle will get cancelled 😞.
Anyone else ever had higher dosages but worse follicular results?

@LuckyNovember oh that’s really interesting about the dosages and quality! I wish my clinic took the time to explain these things to me!! 🙄 I also usually have a follicle count of around 10-11, but my AMH is around 6, so the number of eggs I get is roughly what is expected with my AMH. I was on 300 ovaleap for first half of my stims, then 300 menopur for other half.

@MollyVanDer oh no, when you say day 8 scan is it the first or second one? My amh is 4.6 and I was on 375 ovaleap. Got 10 follicles 7-22 mm, 8 eggs, only 1 made it to ET. They did propose cancellation after 2nd scan but I refused because it broke my heart and wanted to give it a chance as it was my first. Sadly got a bfn today but I don't regret it. I guess it's what your heart tells you to do in the end ❤

Question for everyone, How long does it take to get your period after progesterone? I have a fever and lower back pains and severe bloating

@NaomiNatNat sorry about your BFN good that you got to ET. It was my second scan. My first scan showed 5 from 2-7mm. Now I'm showing 6 from 6-13mm. The consultant said they aren't growing larger as expected so have increased from 375 to 450. Fingers crossed they grow.

My second cycle we didn't get to ET because of a mistake on when to trigger which the clinic compensated us for.

It took me around 5/6 days to get AF after stopping progesterone x

@NaomiNatNat 💔 I got my period 5 days after stopping progesterone on OTD, but I think it varies.

I really don't understand AMH, I guess it only one part of the puzzle. Mine is not great, but not terrible at 12.8, but only 6 follicles grew 🤷🏻‍♀️

I guess cancellation might be to do with who's paying for the cycle? We're self funded and it was never suggested we cancel even with it looking throughout that we would only get 4 mature eggs 😂

@ExhaustedPigeon1988 I know what you mean, work is a hurdle in itself, being able to concentrate the same has been difficult these past few weeks but finally it is my last morning and then I’ll be off till next Thursday. Can’t my husband managed to swap his leave so he’s off too now till next weds. So thankful we can be together and will be a good distraction to get through transfer day x

@Bluehawaii29 transfer day and the following couple of days are the easy bits. It's the wait after that's a head fuck! Day 5 and testing negative, was positive today on last round, so convinced that's us out. Absolutely gutted and no more frozen, will have to start a whole fresh cycle :(

@Bluehawaii29 it's exciting it's nearly transfer day  and having time off sounds good. I don't remember having increased appetite with progesterone. I found oestrogen was awful for the first week and then I guess my body must have got used to it

@Overlyanxious thanks yeah it’s already Tuesday so not too much longer I guess. Made it this far so a couple more days won’t hurt! I found out after that administering Lubion is fine but the injection site is extremely painful and still feels bruised when I touch it this morning but no actual bruising. I hope that each injection site is not like this or my tummy will be unbearable at the end of the first week alone
@ExhaustedPigeon1988 are you sure it’s not too early to test? What did you have transferred and what’s your previous cycles been like? I’m hoping this is just early and you get some good news soon yeah I am dreading the 2WW and knowing that it’s not actually 2 weeks and can find out much sooner but I think I will have to just wait for otd this time. I can’t deal with the emotional upset and then I stop doing the meds properly if I think I’m out prematurely

@Bluehawaii29 first cycle was fresh, 4ab negative all the way. Last cycle was a double FET 3ab, 4bb. Positive on day 5, clinic messed up meds and I lost them both 2 weeks later. This time we are using the crap embryo, 5CB. Just ticking boxes tbh, as knew it wasn't going to work, but still stupidly hopeful yesterday. I'm with access fertility and you can't start a fresh cycle until all frozen has been used :( now it's the joys of waiting for the OTD, then my clinic get you to retest a week later before you can even book a consultation, that will probably be 6-8 weeks away! The wait is the worst out of the whole experience! Fingers crossed yours goes much better than ours x

@MollyVanDer I had a few 13mm at 2nd scan, my dosage wasn't changed but they grew to about 16 to 17 by 3rd scan. Not sure about quality though. The increase in dosage is quite significant so they will definitely grow bigger quick and you will most likely have some more surprise follicles 🙂 I had a few if those ones hiding behind a massive cyst, was so happy when they showed! @LuckyNovember sorry if you've already said, what was your dosage for stims? I think the stims dosage depends on your amh, my dosage was high at amh 4.6.
My cycle is privately funded btw they still suggested cancellation. AF has started already thank goodness.

@ExhaustedPigeon1988 thank you xx when you say the double transfer give you a positive but the clinic messed up the meds what exactly happened there? Sounds awful and really sad to lose them after 2 weeks xx

ExhaustedPigeon1988 Could it be too early if you had a single embryo transfer? I imagine the HCG levels are much higher with twins so could show earlier or stronger? When is your OTD?

When I let BH know about my first pos. test I mentioned I didn’t have enough meds to get me to the scan at 7 weeks. They said to test again in a week (which I was expecting) and that they’d sort more medication then ‘if needed’ insensitive or what?

They’ve run out of stock of the one I’m on now but have it in a smaller dose so I’ve got to go and collect that and use a double dose. Still only giving me a two week supply. I don’t understand why they don’t give enough to get us through to 8 weeks at the start. It costs about £11 a box online. Madness if they’re trying to make savings on the aftercare when the treatment cost is so huge.

@Bluehawaii29 I was told AFTER I lost them that I could have increased my progesterone to support twins.... really helpful :(

@GodspeedJune you just know, this round hasn't worked, it's felt so different to the last. Official test day is Sunday, will test again tomorrow, then Saturday, if still negative Saturday I'm having a bottle or 2 of wine! They can shove it up their arses if they think I am doing meds for an extra week! BH are a joke, I have nothing good to say about them other than Dr Thanos, who appears to be the only one holding it together. If you complain enough they will give you the drugs, I have been there. Also if it's progynova you need you can buy it from the online pharmacy which Is what I have been doing x

Please help, this is the 3rd test like this. First 2 were Amazon cheapies, this is now a 6 day early clear blue. They all have a faint (hardly there you need a magnifying glass) second line. Is this because the tests are extra sensitive and how a negative looks, or have a got a tiny ray of hope? X

@ExhaustedPigeon1988 how many days since transfer are you? I can see a faint line. Hoping it gets darker. X

@Justawannabemam 5 days, this is when I got my positive last time, but that was with 2, so maybe early? But just feels different this time, I'm really not convinced:-/ x
