@Justawannabemam bloods came back positive yesterday. 366 miu/ml. The clinic said they’re happy with that.

I now have blood tests (progesterone and hcg) every two days until the 6 week scan and then regular scans until 12 weeks. So I’m very pleased to be monitored so closely! I’m already back for bloods again today so I’ll have another hcg update later.

How are you getting on? Many symptoms yet?

@Overlyanxious if it helps I also felt like I was coming down with something on Saturday morning. I wrote on here that I was doing a covid test cus I felt like I was coming down with a cough/cold. When are you testing?

@W1ngingit my OTD is Friday when I'd be 12dpt. No they don't do bloods unfortunately ☹️ shame that some do and some don't. I bought a digi one that shows the weeks so I can hold out and see 3+.. that might make me feel better. Not sure when that would be though, anyone know?

How do you decide to test before the bHCG blood test? I had an embryo transfer on Wednesday and I’m convinced it’s not worked (so convinced I spent a load of money on some vintage clothes with my current measurements). I’ve got another week until my blood test. I don’t know if I should just stick it out or if I should test, then if it’s negative at least I can put myself out of my misery, start thinking about next steps etc.

@W1ngingit I’m 7dp5pt today and my bloods will be next Monday. I’m convinced that I’m not pregnant so just delaying the negative result.

@PaxRomana I’m sorry you also feel convinced it hasn’t worked. I don’t really have much advice on the testing front. For me if I tested early and got a negative I would still be holding out some hope until my bloods were checked.

@xreadytoglow no bloods. They rely on frer and whatever symptoms you may have apparently. But I believe if it was a positive then they would do the scan.

@W1ngingit That's so great that they monitor closely. Wish mine did that. Thanks btw but I've already moved on to next cycle now and hopefully the Docs modify my treatment for better results.

@PaxRomana why do you think it hasn't worked? When was your trigger shot?

@W1ngingit yep my bloods were 600. You transferred 2 the same ? What did they say about your levels. 1 or 2 ?

I have a scan on the 11th March so we will find out then

Should I continue to test? Did I read somewhere that testing after so far it would show up neg but then water it down and it would work . Or I could just leave it and continue in this little bubble .

Trigger shot was the Saturday before (so 8 or so days, if I have to do this again I’ve got to get up to date on the acronyms…).

It’s probably just relentless pessimism but every step has had a setback or an unexpected problem (eggs weren’t mature, surprised low sperm count) - feels like the pregnancy test won’t be any different. Our consultant recommended two embryos to be transplanted which I thought was a little unusual as I’m under 30 so I’ve taken that as a negative sign.

I know I’m being eyore about the whole thing. I’ve not really posted on here but it’s been so helpful searching the boards and reading. For round two I’ll definitely be more active. Everyone seems so lovely.

Plus I’ve got a massive exam looming which isn’t helping!

@NaomiNatNat same with my clinic. How many dpt are you? Hope those tests get darker for you.

@PaxRomana I'd definitely wait for at least 8 full days after your transfer to test. If you can stretch it to 10 even better, I was just weak and thought what the hell, it's Monday 🙃

I think I’m going to try and wait till the blood test. I’m on study leave so if it’s bad news I’ll be at home anyway. DH is working this weekend so it would be pretty bleak if it was negative and I was just rattling around the flat by myself.

@PaxRomana I would wait a few more days closer to otd if I were you. I know the feeling though, do you have any symptoms?

Today is the first day I’ve felt fine since the collection (it took over 45 minutes so ended up with quite a lot of fentanyl which I don’t tolerate particularly well). No real symptoms other than feeling tired.

@NaomiNatNat I'm so sorry to hear about your results. Fingers crossed for the bloods.

@xreadytoglow omg well done!!! Is this your first round? Sorry if you've mentioned before, there are just so many messages.

@Justawannabemam the clinic hasn’t said anything about 1/2 yet. They’re happy with the numbers as of yesterday so that’a what I’m focusing on. I’ll be interested to see what today’s figure is. I’m now 11 dpo. Are you just a day ahead? Im really not aiming for twins. One healthy baby is all I want! Not sure I could cope with twins, though we’d make it work!

@PaxRomana when/ if you test is a matter of how well you cope with the wait and how you think you’d deal with a negative (though hopefully that won’t happen!). I tested on 7 dpo as I was so convinced that it’d failed that it was driving me to distraction!

@NaomiNatNat I've just read that you've mentioned three times you don't do bloods sorry! I think we all misread what you said because I saw hpt result and call and just assumed it was a blood test. Sorry
