Hello ladies,
Tested negative yesterday, just devastated! We had 2 3days old embryos transfered and I felt all the positive symptoms for about a week but test came negative on OTD.
We are eager to start again, this was our 1st IVF round and debating if to go again with the same clinic (Chelsea & Westminster hospital).

Any recommendation for your clinic in London especially of you have unexplained fertility or subclinical hypothyirodism ?

Bluehawaii29 · 25/02/2022 13:54

This is turning in to a frantic Friday in the quest for Lubion. Our hospital was out of stock and I will need it today or from weekend. We had to then drive further to the other sister hospital and now just arrived there. They are meant to have it so just waiting in the queue all over again while trying to keep an eye on my phone for this call from the nurses about the plan for my progesterone/ transfer date!

Appleby11 · 25/02/2022 13:59

Thank you everyone. I'll see what they say on Monday for the blood test but I do think it's failed this time. I've one left in the freezer so will use that on my last NHS round. And we've said we'll pay for another go and then move onto adoption.

So on Monday I may be the proverbial pissed as a fart afterwards to cheer me up!

NewJourney103 · 25/02/2022 13:59

Hi all, hoping I can join this thread. I am going to be doing my FET in March. It has been such a journey to get here.

Bluehawaii29 · 25/02/2022 13:59

@ReadyForTheAdventure hi sorry to hear about your failed cycle. I am also with Chelsea and Westminster hospital. Had failed round with them in December with a 5AA day 5 blastocyst. Now in my frozen cycle and having two done also day 5. I think the embryologists were good here, can be a bit frustrating waiting for nurses at times but generally experience was ok. How about you? x

EasterBunny7 · 25/02/2022 13:59

@Gracie2021

Thanks. I called my clinic and all they said was: if we get covid we need to let them know and they'll reschedule my appointment. I don't know how feasible that is: I think what it really means is that this round will be cancelled. Shock

NewJourney103 · 25/02/2022 14:18

Would metformin only be prescribed as part of your protocol if you have PCOS?

heywhatswrongwitu · 25/02/2022 14:24

Hi, I was in the old thread but kind of dropped back with other things happening.. I had a FET yesterday, so thirsty which I don't remember being last time! But ended up with a migraine on the way home and guzzling it down today.

I'm with a satellite clinic associated with the Lister, I've had two successful cycles with them so I'd recommend. However the usual stuff about running out of medication and mad dash to get more resonates, it's incredibly stressful.

NaomiNatNat · 25/02/2022 14:28

@Justawannabemam Thank you 😊 praying for a miracle and actually looking forward for it to be over so I can start my next cycle. Yep this is my first ivf, learned so much and much less scared/anxious than when I started.
My clinic doesn't do blood tests on OTD apparently, which I think is odd. So it has to be frer.

LuckyNovember · 25/02/2022 14:38

Finally a somehow positive experience with my clinic!! Went in today for the follow up of my BFN 2 weeks ago (1st cycle; 1 5d transfer, nothing in the freezer)... we can start again already next week with the oestrogen pre-treatment and (hopefully!) stimming again mid-March 😊

Since my first cycle took 5 months (😒😠) this was surprisingly good news! It's all the waiting that kills me, so am really happy to have another chance so soon!

LuckyNovember · 25/02/2022 14:39

@NaomiNatNat sorry it's not a better outcome... but I can confirm; I feel completely different going into second cycle and much better prepared after having done it once (only once would have been nice... but silver linings!)

Bluehawaii29 · 25/02/2022 15:00

Found out transfer date is next Friday …

IVFGotThis05 · 25/02/2022 15:07

@Bluehawaii29 only 1 week away ! but it does seem quite long .. Have they said why !? I thought you only had to do progesterone for 5/6 days. I mean I know everyone and every clinic is different !

I've started to get back ache and twinges downstairs .. I wonder if its the progesterone !

Bluehawaii29 · 25/02/2022 15:10

@IVFGotThis05 thanks for noticing how far away it is! I’m so annoyed, the reason they gave was because they are fully booked on weds! That would have been the day I was thinking it would happen and now all my leave is messed up. Have to move my Monday and tues leave to the following week so looks like I’m working again next mon/ Tues now! Also I can’t start cyclogest pessaries till Sunday evening now, and then twice a day thereafter and the Lubion we been running around to get all day is to be started on Monday eve daily. I’m disappointed why they are dragging this on so long now. My lining was really good today at 8.3mm and just feel like they are making me wait just because of no space issues

IVFGotThis05 · 25/02/2022 15:13

@Bluehawaii29 Aw I would feel exactly the same ! I know it's a busy service but we have waited so long to get to this stage ! I really feel for you having to wait around yet again ! x

Bluehawaii29 · 25/02/2022 15:26

@IVFGotThis05 thanks for understanding, yea I just feel super stressed again today, didn’t help all this waiting around and running after the medication before the weekend and also having such a dopey and clueless nurse talk to us this morning and then on the phone just now was the same one. I just hate the anticipation of transfer day and want to be in the 2WW like you guys. I feel like it’s been so long since I started this cycle and they told me it was going to feel so fast this time 😔

Bluehawaii29 · 25/02/2022 15:28

Knowing that the transfer is afternoon and not morning also makes me feel stressed. Cant imagine keeping my mind busy waiting that day or even having any appetite for lunch

xreadytoglow · 25/02/2022 15:32

I'm sorry for the BFNs today.. sending you guys lots of strength.

@Bluehawaii29 that's such a shame about your medication and transfer day.. I would feel really upset too that it's delayed again, it feels like all we do in this IVF-world is wait. I really hope they can sort something sooner for you or that the next week flies by for you.

No news to report here... just still waiting for test day. Feel like all my twinges have suddenly stopped today and I don't feel so 'different' as I had done before. Still have really tender breasts though but I know that progesterone causes this too. In limbo 🤷🏻‍♀️

NaomiNatNat · 25/02/2022 15:40

@Bluehawaii29 Sooo much waiting around with this process! I had to rebook my leave a couple of times but totally worth it. A week will fly by real quick, distract yourself in the mean time. Stay positive 💕
Did you say you're doing a painting the other day?

@LuckyNovember what a lovely way of looking at it, very comforting thank you for that 💐 so glad you're starting again so soon . I hope it's as soon for me too xx

Bluehawaii29 · 25/02/2022 15:44

@xreadytoglow @NaomiNatNat thanks yeah definitely a lot of waiting. I was such an impatient person before this journey and still have improved a lot but still get frustrated on days like today. Really thought I was nearly there but a whole week more seems so long. But you’re right it might go quick you never know! I’ll try and keep busy with work on Monday and Tues and then take it easy again from weds onwards and do my painting. I never managed to find the time to do it the other day and couldn’t sit for long due to the back but now that is much better so I’ll try my best to take it up again xx hope that next week brings some good news for you too Flowers

Bluehawaii29 · 25/02/2022 15:47

Another week of keeping covid free as well 🤞🤞

Mochii · 25/02/2022 16:03

@NaomiNatNat sorry to hear this 😔

@IE00 I should have the latest blood test from clinic 2 by 5pm. Then I need to give that to clinic 1. Clinic 1 last told me if I reached 60 by Friday they would consider it positive. My last hcg was 83 but they said they would let me know more once I gave the result from today. Clinic 2 are still saying it is not viable.

ReadyForTheAdventure · 25/02/2022 16:10

@Bluehawaii29
Good luck with your transfer next week!

CW is a lovely hospital and the clinic displays great patient care. The reason we are thinking of trying another place is that I want the best for my diagnosis. I guess going for a second round, I have all different perspectives and questions.

We will have our f/up consultation with a Dr next week to discuss the outcome so we have time to think about it all.
Agree, embryologist Consultant was good, as well as the nurses!

Bluehawaii29 · 25/02/2022 16:20

@ReadyForTheAdventure oh cool, I’m glad you found them good too x
What kind of diagnosis have you been given if you don’t mind me asking. Ours is MFI and we had ICSI on the fresh round and 4 frozen blasts as a result of that first round

Mochii · 25/02/2022 17:14

Heard back from both clinics. Beta has tripled in 2 days so both are now saying it could potentially be viable. Next step is scan at 7 weeks, if I make it that far 🤞🏻
