Great to see so many NHS funded cycles and multiple cycles across the UK. Herefordshire offers one only and we didn't meet their criteria for funding. They thought with my history of miscarriage the odds would be too low. 😬 We went private and so far are 19k down. My clinic also won't allow double transfer as my embryo grades are good (not excellent) and I'm 37 (they consider it 39 and over)

Kind of wish I didn't live in the middle of nowhere! Anyone else currently around 7dp5dt?

LBalf · 24/02/2022 12:50

@xreadytoglow when are you planning to test?

Ivfjourney2 · 24/02/2022 13:10

@EasterBunny7 very similar hunnie, I’d say go with 2 but it is entirely your decision 😘
@Bluehawaii29 I will speak to my clinic later and find out, I don’t mind if I have to pay for the glue it’s sounds like it is worth trying 🤞🏻 We had 2 funded fresh cycles, our first one only 1 egg made it to day 5 which was our failed fresh transfer, with our second attempt we were more fortunate to have 5 to freeze at day 5, I couldn’t have a fresh transfer due to my OHSS.. then covid hit so only December we managed to start again with our first FET which unfortunately failed, and our best quality 5AA embryo failed the thawing stage so I’m hoping this glue will be the answer to our prays 🙏🏻💜 as I will only have the one embryo left before we think about going private. I’m 37 in July and am afraid time is catching up with me slowly 😫 I’m also down to have my tubes unblocked as that seams to be the problem they say 🤷🏼‍♀️. Us women have to go through so much I just hope all our struggles will be worth it one day 😊 xxx

xreadytoglow · 24/02/2022 14:00

@LBalf next Tuesday! I'll be 9dp5dt then 😊

crazycatlady1981 · 24/02/2022 14:42

@xreadytoglow just had my family here for a few days to distract me from obsessing over every little twinge!! Not sure how I feel at the moment, I keep swinging back and forth from hopeful to utter despair! 🙈 I’ve had a lots of cramps over the last few days and really feel like af is on her way!! How are you doing?

Hope everyone is doing ok! Good luck for anyone testing, egg collecting, transferring or starting meds this week!! 💕

W1ngingit · 24/02/2022 14:46

@LBalf sorry to hear you couldn't get funded. I'm also private. I am 6dp5dt. Not sure how we are counting dp? ET was on Thursday last week. When was yours? When is OTD.

I have been avoiding this thread during 2ww because I have stuck my head in the sand, but it hasn't helped!

We put 2 back fresh. I've started having all the usual AF symptoms and can't face the last few days up to OTD (which is Sunday for me).

@Justawannabemam when did you test? I think you said your OTD is Saturday? What dp are you? Those lines on your tests look really positive! Congrats!! XXX

xreadytoglow · 24/02/2022 15:05

@crazycatlady1981 aw that's good that you've had family to take your mind off it all. I hope those cramps and twinges are the good kind! AF needs to stay away ❌

I'm good thank you. I'm handling the wait well but I know that will be a whole other story when it's 7/8 days and the test date is looming. At the moment this is still a bit of a fairytale where I'm pregnant and not drinking alcohol or coffee, doing too much, etc 🙃. I've had lots of twinges and sensations. I get cramps when I'm due my progesterone. I've got sore boobs also but I had that before transfer. It's hard to know what are symptoms and what is because of the progesterone 🙈

crazycatlady1981 · 24/02/2022 15:19

@xreadytoglow yes I’m also in the sore boob club and they’ve been like that since around the EC. Last time my sore boobs stopped completely at 3dp5dt and I think it was the trigger finally leaving my body so it’s slightly different this time! The next few days are gona be tough!! 🤞🏻🤞🏻

LBalf · 24/02/2022 15:19

@w1ngingit Mt transfer was last Thursday too 😊 My OTD isn't untill the 4th! I have got a stash of testers in case it all gets too much and I need to test though. Was thinking day 12 which is next week.

Justawannabemam · 24/02/2022 15:39

@W1ngingit
I had my transfer on 14th . My OTD is 26th I think I started testing from about day 8 but they were very faint . Darkening up a bit now. Getting some little sharp pains in my sides. Hoping its good and not bad .

Are you thinking you would test early. ?.

@Justawannabemam not long till your OTD! Grin i wish you all the best.

I had my first EC this morning, they retrieved 11 eggs. Il be getting a call tomorrow morning to find out how many fertilised! 🤞🏻

Bluehawaii29 · 24/02/2022 17:53

@Gigi89x hey how was your egg collection this morning? Was it as bad as you had anticipated? That’s a great number of eggs. Wishing you the best for tomorrow xx

Gigi89x · 24/02/2022 18:01

@Bluehawaii29 it was absolutely fine, a lot better than i anticipated! I had a nice hot chocolate and biscuits after 😆. i'm feeling ok at the moment just tired really! I wasn't expecting as many eggs as i was originally told my fertility wasn't great and i went on the long protocol. thank you! xx😄

W1ngingit · 24/02/2022 18:15

@Justawannabemam I caved this afternoon and tested! I have a Clear Blue test that says I'm 1-2 weeks pregnant! I have seen the "not pregnant" text on these tests so many times over the last 2 years I nearly threw it in the bin. Now I'm just worried about it being the trigger, OTD bloods saying something different and all the hurdles to get over but I'm lucky to be thinking about any of that.

Justawannabemam · 24/02/2022 19:06

@W1ngingit when did you have your trigger ? Mine took around 6/7 to leave my system. Try it with a line test not a digital one .

OP posts:
xreadytoglow · 24/02/2022 20:22

@W1ngingit aw to see that must've been something else 🥰!! I hope it's not the trigger. How many dpt are you?

Mochii · 24/02/2022 20:40

@W1ngingit on my fresh cycle my trigger had completely gone by 4dpt, I tested it out. Surely there’s no way it’s could still be there by tomorrow?! Do you have more tests for the next few days?

W1ngingit · 24/02/2022 21:04

@Justawannabemam - thanks for the tip. Trigger was 10 Feb, so quite unlikely but you never know.

@Mochii thanks for the information. That makes me feel better!

@xreadytoglow thank you! I’m 6/7dp 5dt. OTD is on Sunday they test at 10dp at my clinic. Having bloods.

EasterBunny7 · 24/02/2022 21:38

Does anyone know what Boris' relaxing of COVID rules means for those of us doing IVF? If you test positive, will clinics still go ahead with treatment since you don't have to self isolate anymore?

Bluehawaii29 · 24/02/2022 22:08

Eek tomorrow is the day I start the cyclogest pessaries and Lubion injections. I’m scared about the injections everyday. How is others experience of it? Not mentally ready for more injections!

W1ngingit · 24/02/2022 22:32

@Bluehawaii29 the injections were nowhere near as bad as I thought they’d be. I’d really worked myself up and the thought of my husband doing them for me threw me through a loop!

What really works for me is heating the area with a hot water bottle till it gets almost uncomfortably hot, my husband warming the injection by rubbing the syringe in his hands and then massaging and heating the area after the injection. You probably know all this!

Exciting to get to this stage! Good luck for tomorrow!

Bluehawaii29 · 24/02/2022 22:49

@W1ngingit thank you, can they be done in the tummy as well like when I was doing stims on my fresh cycle? The only thing that puts me off hot water bottle idea is post transfer I think they say not to put hot water bottle on your tummy area?

Bluehawaii29 · 24/02/2022 22:53

@W1ngingit feels like we have come a long way! Just thankful to have got to this point and have the chance to have some embryos back. Like the counsellor said today now we just need some of that baby dust to make them stick 🤞✨

W1ngingit · 25/02/2022 07:22

@Bluehawaii29 these injections are actually done in the buttock (or thigh - but that’s supposedly painful) so don’t need to worry. The are done in these areas because it needs to go into the muscle not just subcutaneous. So the needle is 2.5 rather than the shorter ones that you’d use for the tummy.

Bluehawaii29 · 25/02/2022 07:55

Omg whaaa!? 😣 that sounds awful, got my scan this morning and then nurse will go over it with me. I’ll have to ask her what I have to do and if my husband can come in to that part as he’ll be waiting in the car for the first part
