@Bluehawaii29

I'm doing some light bedtime reading Wink on embryo glue. Is it correct to say it is aimed at issues with implantation?

Bluehawaii29 · 23/02/2022 22:12

@EasterBunny7 yeah It contains hyaluron which they bathe the embryos in. It’s the same thing that our lining is meant to omit to help implantation so hence it acts as a ‘lock and key mechanism’ as our embryologist puts it

Justawannabemam · 23/02/2022 22:52

@EasterBunny7 our embryologist used the glue too. And I'm on a double dose of progesterone and I tested positive (I've done another one this morning ) I can see the line getting darker. Thankfully . We were nhs and ive not have to pay for it its odd how reading on here how clinics differ.

Congratulations Flowers @Justawannabemam when do you get to find out if both embryos are sticky? Grin

I'll check in with my clinic to see what they offer in terms of embryo glue.

Justawannabemam · 23/02/2022 23:17

Saturday is OTD . Going for bloods done . Not sure if I find out then or not. It might be 6 week scan

OP posts:
Bluehawaii29 · 23/02/2022 23:22

@Justawannabemam did you get any noticeable symptoms in the 2WW? x

Justawannabemam · 23/02/2022 23:35

@Bluehawaii29 I've had tender boobs and a bit bloated. But that could be the medication. Not had any spotting .

OP posts:
Bluehawaii29 · 23/02/2022 23:44

@Justawannabemam that’s good to know. I read so much about IB last time that I got myself panicked when I didn’t have any spotting etc. helps with the anxiety to know that I don’t need to look out for much this time if I does work. Your tests look like they are all going in the right direction. Looking forward to hearing how your 6 week scan goes x

Justawannabemam · 24/02/2022 02:51

@Bluehawaii29 when I mentioned no spitting the nurse said everyone is totally different and any sign or symptom can mean anything (pregnancy. AF. Or medication).

My six week scan won't be for a few weeks yet. 26th I'm having bloods.

Those are great lines @Justawannabemam 🥰

Good to know about the spotting as so far I've had nada too.. I'm now 4dp5dt

xreadytoglow · 24/02/2022 08:38

@EasterBunny7 good luck with whatever you decide 💐 it's a very personal decision isn't it. Hope your transfer goes well next week, keep us updated!

NaomiNatNat · 24/02/2022 08:57

@Justawannabemam I'm so happy yours is going well and it's twins 😍. I said the same to my partner in regards to telling fam and friends if it's bfp, wouldn't want to put anyone's hopes up just yet! keep turning down nights out too as I don't want anyone hinting yet. I've put the test away for a few days, my otd is Monday. Still got some weird dark bleeding going on. I'm 8dp5dt btw. If this round doesn't work I will do another fresh cycle, then if not will use donor and if still bfn will do adoption. They all sound great to me 🙂

Good luck Everyone 🤞🤞🤞🤞💕💕💕💕

EasterBunny7 · 24/02/2022 09:30

@xreadytoglow thank you for the well wishes. I will keep you updated what I do...5 days to decide Confused

Bluehawaii29 · 24/02/2022 09:41

@EasterBunny7 love your name btw, you might have an Easter bunny in the oven by that time if your transfer is next week fingers crossed 🤞🤞

Bluehawaii29 · 24/02/2022 09:42

@NaomiNatNat that’s great you are waiting for OTD now, can imagine all the testing must be stressful. I hope the bleeding issue resolved by then too. Good luck ❤️❤️

Bluehawaii29 · 24/02/2022 09:44

I’ve finally got a counselling session this morning at 11am, waited since my failed transfer in December for this! The clinic couldn’t offer anything sooner and then kept moving mine as the new counsellor was only available on the days I worked. Hopefully she will give me some words of wisdom going in to my transfer this time 🌈

Justawannabemam · 24/02/2022 10:01

@NaomiNatNat no confirmation yet how many 😂

@Bluehawaii29 Thank you so much. Good luck with the counselling sesh xx

@Justawannabemam I have every bit of hope, keep believing 😊

@EasterBunny7 Good luck with your decision, it will be the right one whichever it is xx

kennetrose · 24/02/2022 10:30

I had my day 5 update this morning. I don't understand the way they've assessed them. They described them as size 4 and size 3-4. Obviously that's the size, but I guess it means expanded blast and early blast maybe?

We went back and forth on PGTA testing and have decided not to do it. The embryologist said we only had 2 suitable for PGTA testing ("size 4") and 3 that were suitable for freezing but not PGTA testing. Does anyone know what this means?! Don't they have to grow eventually to transfer? Is it better to freeze earlier and let them develop more right before transfer?

Any thoughts appreciated!

Ivfjourney2 · 24/02/2022 11:18

Hello, I thought I’d join in on this months chat. I’m currently on day 1 of my period and start my oestrogen tablets today to prepare for my second FET in around 2 weeks. I’ve had one failed fresh and then a failed frozen in December.
@Bluehawaii29blu & @EasterBunny7 we have also decided to have 2 transferred this time and this is also out last shot funded through the NHS.. we have 3 embryos left in total, 1 top and 2 average but the way Im thinking atm is if they are going to stick they will stick on their own or together, so may as well chance them together rather than having to go through all this another 3 times if need be. It’s a hard journey and this is our third time already so finger crossed it will be our third time lucky.
Sending lots of luck to all of you strong women, I really do hope we all have the BFPs we've all been waiting on very soon 🤞🏻💜 xxx

Ivfjourney2 · 24/02/2022 11:19

@Bluehawaii29 I also wanted to ask you about the embryoglue.. with it being a add on, can’t you tell how much extra it was please?? I wouldn’t mind looking into this for myself. Xxx

Ivfjourney2 · 24/02/2022 11:28

@Justawannabemam I’ve just seen you great news 😊 congratulations. Also seen that you are currently with the NHS and had the glue too but at no extra cost? Is this right. Im going to contact the clinic this afternoon and speak to them about this. Xxx

EasterBunny7 · 24/02/2022 12:13

@Bluehawaii29 Haha thank you. Fingers crossed for us all.

@Ivfjourney2 hi there. You have a similar profile to myself and @bluehawaii29. Thanks for sharing that you're also doing a double transfer, it gives me more courage.

Hope it works out for all of us here on this thread.

Bluehawaii29 · 24/02/2022 12:28

We are just grabbing lunch in town now after an amazing counselling session. She was a new one and best so far, have us great coping strategies for transfer day, 2WW and beyond 😊 turned out to be great timing for her words of positivity.
@EasterBunny7 glad you are able to make a more informed decision now xx we will be 2WW buddies as well! @Ivfjourney2 welcome to the thread. Good to hear you are going for 2 embryos too. Wishing you best of luck. The glue wasn’t included on our nhs cycle and they are saying it will be £250. Would be great if they say yours is included but I think it varies across the country. We don’t get 3 funded rounds, only one fresh and one frozen cycle. I was lucky enough to have 4 frozen. The next fet we will pay for if this doesn’t work but have been told it’s just over £1000 as the meds are much cheaper than the fresh cycles so at least that’s a pro. Hope for lots more good news to come on this thread ✨🌟

xreadytoglow · 24/02/2022 12:37
