@NaomiNatNat normally that is considered dark blood not fresh? How much of it is there exactly?
@lucymills1234 I’m really sorry it didn’t work out again 😔 there just doesn’t seem to be a rhyme or reason to this process. What was your transfer/ grading like this time. I remember you saying you are using donor sperm and always have had good egg numbers retrieved? Do you have any frozen x

NaomiNatNat · 23/02/2022 08:42

@lucymills1234 Big hugs Bear Ivf is such a rollercoaster as I'm experiencing this morning. Please take care and look forward to next cycle?

@Bluehawaii29 I'm waiting for a call back from clinic. The bleeding is light but coming out with the cyclogest pessary (drips out after a while) it went from maroon, to brown to purple with a clot! 😓 Didn't go to work today, just staying in bed for now. How are you today? Xx

Bluehawaii29 · 23/02/2022 08:47

@NaomiNatNat aww that must be so nerve racking. Maybe it changed colour a bit due to pessaries and is less than you think? I remember I used to get a lot of discharge from my pessaries. I’m good thanks, back is pretty much back to normal again. Just making most of my time off now. Going to go for a walk a bit later as it’s sunny today and finish off a water colour painting I was doing of my dog Smile just trying to put the cycle out of my mind as much as possible although it’s hard to completely forget with 4 hrly alarms telling me I have to take the oestrogen tablets!

NaomiNatNat · 23/02/2022 09:04

@Bluehawaii29 What a lovely way to pass the time 🙂 I hope it's lovely sunshine where you are. Speaking of oestrogen, I think that might be causing my purple bleeding, the levels might be too high according to Dr Google xx

Bluehawaii29 · 23/02/2022 09:23

@NaomiNatNat yeah I’ve read it can cause that too, fingers crossed it stops soon! X

NaomiNatNat · 23/02/2022 09:48

@Bluehawaii29 I'm praying thank you ❤

For anyone that find this useful, the clinic says they are not worried at all and says it might be implantation bleeding. Apparently the blood would fill up a pad if it failed.

IE00 · 23/02/2022 09:59

Oh my dear ladies, there is so much to say.

@Cayandsimit your story is so moving. I am inspired by your strength and willingness to carry on despite so many setbacks. And to think I was inconsolable at my first BFN! The worst thing about this whole thing is the guilty/shame you feel about infertility. I feel ashamed and un-womanly somehow that I can't bare children naturally. I was diagnosed with hypothalmic amenorrhea (HA) and PCOS in 2019. I managed to successfully conceive a child through IVF in 2020. I stopped all exercise in 2019 but my periods still haven't returned. I blame myself continuously about this as apparently HA is reversible and I haven't managed to reverse it. Also because I am private, they don't really care about investigating it and would rather crack on with the IVF again, and tbh it's doesn't matter for IVF, but I would still like to be "cured". MFI is really difficult I can imagine, the feelings of shame even more so and also because my husband has been the strong one for me. How are you taking care of each other if you don't mind my asking? I hope you can find some time to keep strong. What do you think you'll do next?

@Bluehawaii29 don't blame yourself. I am crossing my fingers for you. You are also so strong.

@WhiteLily86 how are you this morning? I really hope your numbers are rising!

@NaomiNatNat yes I had brown/purple blood throughout in my first trimester, it was the progesterone pessaries. How much is it?

xreadytoglow · 23/02/2022 10:00

@lucymills1234 @Cayandsimit I'm so sorry it hasn't worked out. Sending you lots of strength. Look after yourselves and I hope next time is your lucky cycle. It's all just a game of luck this... it's heartbreaking.

@NaomiNatNat sounds like your clinic isn't worried so that's a good sign. Keeping everything crossed it goes away soon and you can start to worry less 💐

IE00 · 23/02/2022 10:06

@lucymills1234 I've just gone back and seen your message. I'm really sorry to hear it didn't work. It's such an awful feeling. Don't be afraid to feel bad and do something self-indulgent, distracting. Hope you have a partner who can support you.

NaomiNatNat · 23/02/2022 10:21

@IE00 I'm so sorry you had to go through all that, it must have been difficult. Don't feel ashamed, you're doing the best you can, we're all in the same boat here ❤ I'm on 400mg twice daily xx

@xreadytoglow Thank you so much, I will worry less if it goes away completely. Will see how it goes throughout the day and hope there's no more. How are you today? Xx

xreadytoglow · 23/02/2022 10:27

@NaomiNatNat I really hope it does for you! 🤍

I'm fine thank you! After my emotional meltdown yesterday 😂. I have sore boobs and some twinging pains but I had sore boobs before transfer! Trying not to read too much into it and distracting myself with work. I decided to continue with work after reading up on it last night, just going to stop feeling guilty for not doing as much as I would do usually.

Bluehawaii29 · 23/02/2022 11:26

@IE00 thanks for your message. Yeah I have a natural tendency to think it’s my fault even though it’s no one’s fault, not my partners either. Just the card we have been drawn but we are trying our best to look forward and make things happen 😘 I just had a lovely chat to the embryologist who said I can call her whenever I want. She literally picked up on the first ring and has put my mind at ease again about the thawing rates— over 90% they will survive the thaw but if one doesn’t she said they will dip In to my 3BBs so hopefully we will still get the double transfer one way or another. I just want to throw all the shots at our last funded cycle including the glue. Hopefully we will still be left with at least one to transfer next time if it comes to that. Fet cycles are definitely the cheaper option but we will still keep going and go for another fresh cycle if we have to. I’m only 35 at the end of March so I have to remain positive that time is still on our side. She told me to take my mind off things so I’m going to go for a walk after lunch. I managed to do a little work out this morning to some music to stretch out my back so feeling good after that. Hope everyone has a good day and @xreadytoglow good on you for going back to work today, I hope they go easy on you and take care of yourself xx @NaomiNatNat that’s good your clinic said it’s normal at this stage, I completely understand any bleeding is always scary and we think the worst but hoping it is all good 🙏🏽

Bluehawaii29 · 23/02/2022 11:32

She also said that I can FaceTime my partner on the transfer day when they are talking about the embryos. So better than last time where he was just sitting in the waiting room the whole time clueless

PaxRomana · 23/02/2022 11:41

I posted on one of the previous threads but have basically been putting my head in the sand about this. It’s all hit me today. Going for embryo transfer in about 5 minutes. Only had four mature eggs of which two have fertilised. Consultant has advised not to wait till day 3/5 and just go and have them both put in. I’ve been driving myself insane that I was too stressed out and it’s my fault. There are no embryos for freezing so if this doesn’t work it’s another cycle (that we’ll be paying for).

Love to everyone going through this. I was so naive about how I’d cope.

xreadytoglow · 23/02/2022 12:37

@Bluehawaii29 that's so lovely of your embryologist. It's nice to have a clinic like that, really helps to put your mind at ease. Glad to hear your back is feeling better and you're getting out and about. Won't be long! 🤍

@PaxRomana it's not your fault, don't think that. I don't know why these things happen but it's nothing that you've done. I hope that your transfer goes well and it's a happy outcome for you. It's such a worrying time but the best thing to do is just to look after yourself and know that it's all outside of your control so please try not to stress. Easier said than done we know.

I've just received an update on my app for the clinic.. I don't know if other clinics are the same where they have equipment which takes a photograph of the embryos every 10-20 minutes? Well they've sent me a video of all the photos over the 5 day period, seeing it all develop in front of your eyes. How amazing. Welling up at work !!

Bluehawaii29 · 23/02/2022 12:59

Aww that’s amazing! @xreadytoglow I’ve always wanted to see that. Send us a link to the vid if it’s possible. Would be awesome to see, I find the whole process just incredible and in awe of embryologists in general

xreadytoglow · 23/02/2022 13:16

@Bluehawaii29 it is so cool. I'm sorry there's no link. It's just downloaded on my phone!
I'll try to upload it here x

xreadytoglow · 23/02/2022 13:18

Oh it only lets you upload photos, no videos.. sorry.

PaxRomana · 23/02/2022 13:49

Thank you @xreadytoglow

That’s so cool about the video, I love that sort of thing.

Bluehawaii29 · 23/02/2022 13:57

@xreadytoglow that’s ok Smile I been listening to this really nice meditation vid:

m.youtube.com/watch?v=il-XioLUJrw
Hope it helps

LuckyNovember · 23/02/2022 13:59

@xreadytoglow our embryologist showed us the video of our blast developing, it was very cool... you already start falling in love a little bit at how perfect it looks 😍

@PaxRomana sounds to me like you're coping great with a ridiculously stressful situation called ivf. Have a good transfer, 2 on board is brilliant. Good luck!!

Bluehawaii29 · 23/02/2022 14:00

Also found this great time lapse vid to help visualisation:

xreadytoglow · 23/02/2022 14:19

@Bluehawaii29 yes that's pretty much the same as my video! 😄
Glad those meditation videos are helping you x

@LuckyNovember that's exactly right... bit dangerous really 🙈. Very cool to watch but also very scary if it doesn't work to see what I've lost.

Bluehawaii29 · 23/02/2022 14:46

@xreadytoglow thankfully a lot more time on this FET cycle to get my mind ready. The fresh cycle was just awful for my mind, he waiting on embryo updates was truly torture and I was far from relaxed on transfer day! Hoping these little things make the difference x

Justawannabemam · 23/02/2022 15:02

@NaomiNatNat hope your feeling OK. The clinic dont sound to worried so that's a good sign . Rest up and take care.
