Thanks for all the good wishes. The embryo defrosted well. The transfer was a bit tricky but they did it. The joys of the 2WW.

Cayandsimit · 02/02/2022 15:38

@womaninkent congrats🥳 Good luck with 2WW and I hope this is the one!

thislittlebird · 02/02/2022 16:45

@Gracie2021 that sounds like a good shop! Tonight we’re making salmon fish cakes with salad and edamame beans! I won’t lie I worry about the dairy but time will tell. For now I’m having a fair bit of it.

I’m in on Friday for a scan, they called to say my bloods were back and all going well. It’s nice to hear those words.

Janefx40 · 02/02/2022 17:14

My old clinic get you to drink a litre of milk a day during stims but that doesn't suit everyone. I used to have some milk plus a protein shake and just up protein wherever else I could. I don't eat meat which makes it harder. X

Gracie2021 · 02/02/2022 17:14

Great news @womaninkent glad all went well for you today.

@thislittlebird good news on the bloods. Are they keeping you on the same stims for now then? Do you have an early app Friday? I'm in first thing.

thislittlebird · 02/02/2022 17:44

@Gracie2021 I might have replied on the other thread we’re on but yes! 9am so early doors to find out what’s occurring. Same dose of stims still (150 gonal f) and starting fyremadel in the morning.

@Janefx40 I’ve heard about a clinic that does that, not sure if it’s the same one! It’s a lot of milk. I’ll have a glass maybe, then a protein shake, as well as fish and meat. My husband is veggie and I don’t eat fish and meat often so eating a fair amount of it now feels sort of weird.

Hopeful199 · 02/02/2022 17:56

@Yognog1 I got headaches on stims too. Lots of water helps alleviate the side effects - 2 - 3 litres a day if you are not already.

@womaninkent great news about your transfer! Fingers crossed this is the one 🍀

I had my EC today. After the covid drama earlier in the week, they thankfully let me take a sample in from my husband and use that (super grateful to my consultant for making that happen!) They got 7 eggs. Not amazing numbers but the upper end of what they expected based on my follicles so I can’t really ask for more than that. Now I wait!

Just did my first progesterone pessary and seemed to lose it somehow?! Fingers crossed it has gone in far enough to do its thing!!!

Now milking it for today with Netflix in bed and waiting for my fish finger dinner 😄

Janefx40 · 02/02/2022 18:02

@Hopeful199 well done on getting 7 eggs and for pushing them to accept the sperm in a different way!

@thislittlebird I used to be at ARGC who asked for the milk x

thislittlebird · 02/02/2022 18:08

@Hopeful199 that’s great that they let you take a sample in! Good news on the eggs too!

Yeah that’s the one @Janefx40, I thought they made people drink a pint, didn’t realise it was a litre 😂. Intense milk consumption over at ARGC!

I’m at 50g protein before the fish cake dinner so I’m doing ok today.

Justawannabemam · 02/02/2022 18:24

@Hopeful199 that's great news.

Are you freezing or fresh ? You'll have to keep yourself clear of covid. Yes totally milk it . Netflix and bed sound like a good idea.

Dobcaty · 02/02/2022 18:32

I started high protein low carb diet after my second scan back in January, as the nurse said it will help to grow the follicles. But I don't like egg, barely drink milk so I bought protein bars usually 18-20g protein per bar, low sugar indeed and that helped me a lot to get the daily 60g easily. And those littles caught up quickly. I'm still doing the increased protein intake to get more healthy eggs next time.

@Hopeful199 Great news on your eggs 😃

@womaninkent Good luck lots and lots of baby dust 🍼🍼🍼

Janefx40 · 02/02/2022 19:04

@thislittlebird ha ha everything about ARGC is intense x

thislittlebird · 02/02/2022 19:16

@Janefx40 how did you find the intensity?

thislittlebird · 02/02/2022 19:17

@Dobcaty I’m glad you saw a positive effect! I need to cut back on the carbs probably. I’m not usually too bad with sugar.

geminibaby · 02/02/2022 19:28

Can I join this? I started supression just few days ago... bloating a lot!

Bluebonnet3 · 02/02/2022 19:40

Well today was EC. It went ok. My last EC was exactly 3 weeks ago! This duo-stim protocol for freeze all embryo batching is quick! They said 15 collected, but based on my 2 previous collections at this clinic, i expect the numbers of mature and fertilised to be more like 5-6. I'll find out tomorrow. The nurse said for my 3rd embryo batching round I will need to wait for the first bleed (in a couple of weeks perhaps?) and then to call on the following bleed (additional month?). Anyway, hoping something makes it to day 5 for biopsy and freezing. Doing PGS testing again, if possible. Would love to add another to my one frozen normal euploid.

Not feeling too bad. Had a paracetamol earlier but otherwise hanging out on the sofa drinking tea, water, lucozade sport... anything and everything to stay well hydrated!

Justawannabemam · 02/02/2022 20:00

I feel bloated. My boobs feel full . I've brought myself off to bed . I really hope they are collecting Monday . I dont think I'd enjoy feeling like this for few more days

Dobcaty · 02/02/2022 20:12

@geminibaby welcome on board! Is it your first IVF?

@Bluebonnet3 times flies except in TWW, just said to DH today that unbelievable its been already a week since my spotting started, hoping next af comes this quick too. Finger cross for tomorrow 🤞

@thislittlebird yeah, I always though I have healthy diet, but then realised during down-regulation that actually I didn't. I believed that our body tells what we need, but of course our hearts too - sugar carving is never the body 😂 So I'm still doing the 2,5+ L of water, the high dose of vitamins and the protein thing, sometimes my work bag heavier than my shopping one 🙃

@Hopeful199 great news, well done! Keeping everything crossed for you!

@womaninkent 🥳 congratulations to being PUPO! 🥳

@Bluebonnet3 that sounds like a promising EC. Fingers crossed for a euploid xxx

@thislittlebird I don't mind the intensity. It's great getting that much focus and I always felt in really safe hands. You feel really supported because you speak to the nurses a couple of times a day. But it was definitely harder when I moved out of London and my DP wanted to move clinics as we'd had 3 failures there x

Hopeful199 · 02/02/2022 22:51

@Bluebonnet3 EC sounds good! Fingers crossed for some good results tomorrow

@Justawannabemam hopefully a fresh transfer…. If I get that far. Trying to manage my own expectations and not get ahead of myself. But fingers crossed 🤞🏻

geminibaby · 02/02/2022 23:42

@Dobcaty yes this is my first round! I’m in long protocol at Guys. Anyone?

Dobcaty · 03/02/2022 00:30

@geminibaby I was on long protocol too, started in December, I had the bloating, hot flashes, night sweats (few times changed PJ twice middle of the night), jet legs. Thats all because these injections causing menopause syndromes, and its totally normal. When I started the gonal-f most of them disappeared -not the bloating- but I had the ovary pains, feeling heavy both sides, cramps and load of CM. CM increased again after ET, I believe bc of the progresterone. Sadly my first failed, but going to my second after af arrives, looking end of Feb-beginning of March.
What dose are you on?

Justawannabemam · 03/02/2022 06:14

@Hopeful199 fingers crossed. Its hard not to get carried away. I'm trying yo be realistic this time round. Everything went text book first cycle and I think that's why it hit me so hard

Good luck my lovely x 😘

thislittlebird · 03/02/2022 06:32

We did Fyremadel this morning and worried we cocked it up. Tried it in the thigh and it’s still really sore compared to stomach fat injections. Hopefully it’ll still work :/

@Dobcaty yeah, I’ve got room for improvement for sure, and I do like my pasta and rice. Trying to balance it so last night we made salmon fish cakes for the protein and obviously there’s potato in there but the rest of the plate was salad and edamame beans. I need to plan something for tonight.

@Janefx40 were you fairly near to ARGC? I find the commuting ok for Guys, but it’s still an hour away really, once you factor in walking and waiting. We want to move but we can’t right now with all this ongoing. Maybe in the next couple of years. I’m speaking to my nurses a lot but not because that’s built in but because I keep emailing and calling with questions 😂😭

@Bluebonnet3 fingers crossed for EC outcome!

@geminibaby just noticed you’re at Guys, I am too! I’m on day 6 of stims. Also my first round.
