@crazycatlady1981 another classic from your clinic there 😭😂.

I was just thinking about FETs. How do they decide to medicate or not? Because I have a good lining normally, in the 10mm+ range in previous monitored cycles. Will they check that before they stick me on oestrogen? I think I have plenty of that and would rather not take more if I can avoid it.

@Justawannabemam try just to relax I know it’s hard though but don’t read in to any symptoms because none of it really means anything. All you can do is just wait on the test day and fingers crossed will be ok xx
@NaomiNatNat yeah I’ve heard a lot more positive stories with BBs tbh, having had a failed one with a 5AA I’m rooting for the underdog now!

@crazycatlady1981 wow that is crazy! yeah I think I still prefer knowing what my lining is doing at each stage of the process. I remember them saying something about 8mm lining on my fresh cycle so I think it is possible for me to get a good thickness but just not sure regarding this dosing that they’ve given me, whether my body is getting the right amount, but I guess that’s why they scan so they can adjust things. Just have to trust I guess

@bluehawaii29 yup I'm not falling into the symptom spotting trap again. There is literally no difference between pregnancy and AF symptoms. Xx

@thislittlebird yep, they’re the best! 🤣 I didn’t get a choice about medicated or natural as it was nhs and they just said this is what you’re doing!! I’m not sure what I’d do if we had any Frosties from this round! I like the idea of being monitored more but the meds don’t sound very fun!! 🤔 My lining has been good whenever they’ve scanned but I don’t get how they can just assume it will always be good every cycle and not check just in case!! 🤷🏻‍♀️

@thislittlebird I didn't use oestrogen this round so I think it is possible. I don't have lining or hormonal issues. You can ask them to check your oestrogen levels before prescribing you a one-fits-all solution. I think it is really good to avoid accessive oestrogen whenever you can. It is not as "innocent" as progesterone and too much of it is not good.

We'll today is OTD and sadly it's negative. I'm not surprised as I felt literally no symptoms. So that's us done with my eggs. We'll move onto Donor Eggs in hopefully 3-4 months, wish us luck!

@Dbop100 sorry that it hasn't worked out this time. Good luck for using donor eggs in the future. I would definitely do that too if this doesn't work.

Sorry @Dbop100 that's a hard one to swallow. You gave it your best shot/s, remember the hormones will make you feel EVEN worse than you would otherwise, so be really, really generous with yourself, find a way to make yourself feel better.

I'm intrigued by the DE idea, it hadn't been on my radar at all until this first ivf didn't work (I stupidly had thought ivf was the last resort and pretty bullet proof! Ha! On both counts!) I want to start mulling the idea now, so that if we get to that stage in another couple of gos, it will be a kind of familiar idea....

Does anyone have experience of a family donor? Or is that a bit creepy? 😬

Oh gosh girls, just went through all the messages since last Thursday, and sorry for my absence, happy to see those egg numbers, the BFP @womaninkent, the PUPO's but sorry for those who got negative this round. Please be nice and kind with yourself. I wasn't and ended up such a mess and angry.

I have not too much to report, mentally feeling better than last week, although already started to spotting (5 days early than usual), nurse said we might need to wait another natural cycle bf we go to the next round.
In the meantime I cancelled DH's booked treat for us as it looks like we found our dream home last weekend, so we are busy with all the paperwork this week.

I just feel so positive today (can change any minute) I'm trying to enjoy this moment. ❤️

@Bluehawaii29 Sorry for the late reply ! Did they finalise your plans? So your having 2 in! I really hope they stick ! :) I have 2 frozen so we are just doing one at a time, my clinic didn't grade them just said they were good !? I didn't want to ask either so I'm happy if they're happy with them ! One was frozen on day 5 and one on day 6!

I've just seen that you have been worrying about your lining, is it tomorrow your scan ? Fingers crossed your lining is playing ball!

@IVFGotThis05 hiya! That sounds like a good plan to play it safe with one at a time. We finalised the plan for 2 and having a chat tomorrow with embryologist when I go for the scan where we’ll sign the consent form. Trying not to get too excited in case I find out lining is still not good enough. Let’s hope tomorrow is a good day! X

@LuckyNovember yeah as I have DOR (I'm 35 but my AMH is 1.3 and I only about 4 follicles in total) I've been thinking about DE in the back of my mind for about a year. I follow a few interesting people on Instagram @definingmum is one of the best, she's got 3 daughters thanks to DE - She has a whole platform for people thinking about or doing DE called Paths to Parenthub.

I personally will use an egg bank but I don't have any family who would be able to donate eggs, if it's right for you to use known donor then why not? It not creepy loads of people do it. Good luck with your treatment x

I have just been through one of the most hurtful experiences of my life. I had to read a book about ‘waiting for baby’ to my daughter at a playgroup. I felt like I was going to be sick.

Clinic have just rang with our day 3 update. We don’t get grades but we have 2 good quality, 2 average and 2 poor.

They will transfer 2 on Saturday.

I’d love to know our grading!

Yay for all the 4BBs! Hope mine are 4BBs.

I asked if the good were “top” quality and she said no but that there isn’t much difference between top and good for implantation which sounds similar to what someone posted above.

Congratulations @foodiefil! I was told by my doctor friend that the egg quality only really matters for freezing, there are too many other factors in play for it to be the dominant reason for implantation.

@Bluehawaii29 I think it's a good idea to get excited ! You might as well have a little bit of joy in this process because if you get any bad news its coming whether you got excited or spent the time worrying .. if that makes sense?! Might as well keep the hope and if you have a little set back that's fine, you will feel a bit crap regardless! Try and stay positive ! tomorrows only a day a way ! :)
