@Justawannabemam that’s good news! When’s the next update?

@WhiteLily86 that’s good! I’m worried already and we haven’t had the eggs out yet lol

Justawannabemam · 10/02/2022 10:48

@whiteLily86 @thislittlebird

Thank you .

I dont get an update in between she just said everything is normal at this stage. So back Monday

I've just been the gym as I've not been for a few days with isolating. I started to feel a bit crappy so I'm going to be doing a few more sessions before Monday .

And im back at work Saturday.

I'm might do the POAS to see when my trigger is out of my system.

Other than that I'm going to chill out and prayer for my little embies .

Good luck to you both.

Yognog1 · 10/02/2022 10:50

@Justawannabemam that’s great to hear ☺️

I had my second scan yesterday, they want to keep me on meds a bit longer and another scan tomorrow. EC will be Monday or Tuesday now.
Follicles 1 16mm, 5 15mm , 4 14mm
2 11 and 1 is 9 which they said won’t catch up now. 10 would be amazing but trying to be realistic that they might not all make it to the right size.

Dbop100 · 10/02/2022 10:54

@TTCinmy40s we're both being really careful to avoid covid. Especially because it's what destroyed my husbands sperm 15 months ago and it's only just about ok again now, with the help of ICSI and zymot. I think though if this transfer doesn't work we'll start living a bit more normally for a few months until we can move on to Donor eggs.

That's just what makes us feel most comfortable it's not right for everyone. I think we should each just do what feels right for ourselves. If you're at all worried follow your gut but if not then do what makes you happy x

Justawannabemam · 10/02/2022 10:58

@yognog1 a little longer is good mine got up to 21 and some were top teens. I felt comfortable them going further than taking too soon.

Yognog1 · 10/02/2022 11:19

@Justawannabemam ah that’s really encouraging. Feels like there’s more I should be doing to help them grow, such a waiting game.

thislittlebird · 10/02/2022 11:27

I’m eating lots of protein and just hoping it helps. Last day today today. Just made a lemon drizzle cake so I can have some when I get home post EC.

Justawannabemam · 10/02/2022 11:28

@yognog1 I had a hot water bottle. Drunk plenty of water. Other than that I don't know if there is anything else much you could do. Lots of hints and tips on here and Dr Google but who knows if they work or not. Just take care of your self. That's the main thing .x

thislittlebird · 10/02/2022 11:36

@Justawannabemam so much water!!! Really hoping it all helps.

NaomiNatNat · 10/02/2022 12:37

@Justawannabemam That's great news! 🙂

Jazz234 · 10/02/2022 12:54

Sadly I am now fully bleeding. Not sure why...weather the progesterone dose was too low or not I am not sure. Still testing positive but I imagine that line will dissappear now. Test day isn't officially till Saturday. I will be asking for more progesterone next time I think.
Just want to put a line through this round and start thinking about the next! I've learnt a lot from this first round and ready to advocate for myself more through the 2nd. X

Cayandsimit · 10/02/2022 12:58

@Jazz234 I am sorry... When was your due date for your next period? Can you go to the clinic tomorrow to give blood and check your progesterone level?

Jazz234 · 10/02/2022 13:06

@cayandsimit I have contacted the clinic and waiting for a response. Fingers crossed they are proactive and do the progesterone test. :)

Cayandsimit · 10/02/2022 13:13

@Jazz234 that is great! I am keeping everything crossed for you! xxx

womaninkent · 10/02/2022 13:13

@Jazz234 I'm so sorry to hear this. I hope the clinic look after you really well and you look after yourself.
I've got every AF symptom under the sun so I think I'll be joining you really soon.

Jazz234 · 10/02/2022 13:16

@womaninkent aw no I'll stay positive for you and hope they are not AF symptoms at all! Everything crossed for you. X

@cayandsimit thanks very much! Flowers

TTCinmy40s · 10/02/2022 13:20

@Jazz234 sorry to hear that. I hope the clinic calls back soon so that you can at least speak to them.

@dbop100 thanks. 15 months is such a long time, that must have been a difficult wait. That's a good point that what everyone is comfortable with will be different. My gut says isolate completely to ensure I don't get covid and that doesn't impact anything, but I'm not sure how sustainable that is.

Eggbert83 · 10/02/2022 13:31

Hi all, hope its OK I join, have just gone though our first cycle and we will be doing another as soon as possible with the hope of batching before we do a transfer. Based in London and privately funding. I didn't react as hoped to stims and from 8 collected eggs only 3 were mature and only 1 fertised which was disappointing but not a shock as we are doing icsi and I read that this can fail when eggs are over or under ripe, which mine probably were as they had all shot off at different paces. We were incredibly lucky though that our one chance went on to become a top grade blast which has been frozen and which will undergo pgt-a testing. I'm a week past egg collection now and my god I feel so EXHAUSTED it's unreal! Did anyone else feel this way? Best wishes to everyone on this very demanding journey at the same time x

Jazz234 · 10/02/2022 13:32

Thanks all xx
The clinic have said that they do not do progesterone checks as there is no research to say that your progesterone should be at a certain level :/ so they have added a note to my file that says I bled prior to test date. This will have to do!

Dbop100 · 10/02/2022 13:34

@Jazz234 I am so sorry to hear this. It's so unfair. I would definitely push for a progesterone and HCG level test from you clinic. It might be helpful information for the future. I insisted my clinic do a progesterone test on the day of my transfer and whilst they looked at me like I was a bit crazy it's given me piece of mind for that side of things.xx

@TTCinmy40s always go with your gut! You'll just kick yourself later if you don't, we've all got to paddle our own canoes in this situation. In my mind I'm just going to aim to isolate until OTD which is one more week and I figure in my whole life it's nothing.

Dbop100 · 10/02/2022 13:35

Sorry @Jazz234 I missed your message, that's so rubbish of your clinic I'm so sorry 💕 can you switch clinics for your next round?x

Cayandsimit · 10/02/2022 13:41

@jazz234 can you go home and rest today? I don't understand clinic's comment. Why would doctors prescribe pregnant woman when they bleed in the first trimester then? 🙄 Did they tell you to stop the progesterone now?

Jazz234 · 10/02/2022 13:50

@cayandsmit I know I thought the same! I also know other clinics do progesterone tests and I wonder, if there was no desirable threshold, how do they know to prescribe higher doses to people?

@dbop100 I am stuck with them for the next round but after that I may well look elsewhere.
The people there are lovely, can't fault them. But I have had no bespoke treatment, just an off the shelf ivf package with little to no interest in my body or response etc. X

TTCinmy40s · 10/02/2022 14:35

@eggbert83 welcome
I felt totally exhausted for a whole week afterwards. I'm not sure whether it was coincidence but I ate loads of chicken one night after about a week and that made me feel loads better and I've eaten a lot of protein ever since and have felt better.

LuckyNovember · 10/02/2022 16:31

@Jazz234 😢 I'm so sorry to hear this. If you're taking progesterone, ask them if you can increase? If there's no test and no prescribed limit, I guess there's no restriction? For reference, I have no lining problems that I know of, and am taking 800 utrogestan per day (2 x 2 tablets of 200 each). Even if it's just to get you to otd, I can't believe they won't recommend something, especially when you're already testing positive. Of course you'll have read stories about women who have healthy babies despite bleeding... hope you get to be one of those stories 💜

@Dbop100 I was extra, extra careful during stims up to ET. Since ET I've relaxed a bit, as my concern was more around having to isolate than getting very sick (triple jabbed and probably already had Covid twice!!) and isolation delays after ET don't change the outcome!
