Hey, just been reading through the thread, and I’m sending love to you all as we ride the rollercoaster we didn’t ask to jump on!
I’m a newbie, starting IVF for the first time in March, and looking for some reassurance. I have a history of recurrent miscarriage so we’re going down the ICSI PGT-A route.
Most of my weekend has been spent ordering fresh supplements, filling the fridge and batch cooking for me and OH after a nutritional consultation that blew our minds! Helpful in many ways but so detailed…
OH has a urology consultation with Mr Ramsay next week, I have a vaginal microbiome test to do, then all going well I’m due to head to London for EC in about 6-8 weeks. I considered waiting another cycle but I’m in a fairly good place emotionally and mentally (just need to catch up a little physically!) and keen to crack on.
There’s a bit of doubt in my mind about not giving nutrition my all for 12 weeks but I’ve had a fairly good January and feel mostly positive about our decision. FET will also be a while off. That said, I’d love to know how you prepped for successful EC and if there’s anything you would do differently. I think it would help me be more realistic and stop putting so much pressure on myself. Being a recovering perfectionist is hard work and I have to remind myself to “let go” sometimes!
I’d also like to know if any of you are taking medication for anxiety. I’m on sertraline and clinic would like me off it but I think I’m better on it. Pretty low dose and takes the edge off.
Thanks for reading, if you got this far
