@Vslightlystressy that’s brilliant!!! Fingers crossed these next few weeks in particular for you. How much monitoring does your clinic do now?

@Vslightlystressy congratulations!!! Wonderful news!!! Flowers

Vslightlystressy · 05/02/2022 08:44

Thank you all for the congratulations- still can’t believe it! They will do a scan at just over six weeks to check it all looks good (as much as you so early!) and they want me to keep taking the progesterone until twelve weeks - though may see if I can change from the pessaries… still can’t believe we were so lucky that it worked. Good luck for everyone else still in the process - may eggs be good, swimmers expert and transfers sticky!

@Vslightlystressy brilliant news, congratulations

HJen22 · 05/02/2022 10:20

Am I right in thinking one of you ladies was called for jury service recently? I've just received a letter for it in March, potential right in the middle of treatment. Do I speak to my GP or clinic? Apologies if I'm imagining things and this was in another chat xx

Bluebonnet3 · 05/02/2022 10:39

Day 3 embryologist update: of the 5 fertilised, all 5 are still going and all are 'top quality'! No guarantee, but looks good for getting something to biopsy and freeze on day 5. Today, all is well!

Janefx40 · 05/02/2022 11:02

Oh this is turning into a good day. @Vslightlystressy so pleased for you!!! We were due some good luck on this thread finally !!! 💐💐

@Bluebonnet3 that is fantastic news about your embryos. You're in a really good position x

Janefx40 · 05/02/2022 11:04

Welcome @LuckyNovember

@womaninkent hope you're coping ok with the 2WW. It's a bit of a head f*!!! But it can be worth it

Xxx

Bluehawaii29 · 05/02/2022 11:17

@HJen22 hi it was me. Mine was also for March it I’ve thankfully been excused now. I can help you out for what to say if you want xx

Bluehawaii29 · 05/02/2022 11:17

@womaninkent aww I didn’t realise you were in the 2WW already. Stay strong and try not to rest until the day as hard as it may be xxx

Sorry for all the typos!

Bluehawaii29 · 05/02/2022 11:20

@HJen22 I asked my Gp who said it was best to ask my consultant and she was happy to write my the supporting info but in the end we didn’t need it and they excused me on the strength of my appeal! Such a relief x

HJen22 · 05/02/2022 11:28

@Bluehawaii29 thanks so much for replying! I'm due to start stims 1st March and don't really want the added pressure of jury duty possibly right after egg collection or transfer. Typical timing; never been called before 🙄

Did you just email and explain? Any advise would be so much appreciated ❤️

Bluehawaii29 · 05/02/2022 11:35

Yes first I had deferred from 2021 when they called me and I was due to start IuI back then but because it was a year deferral they contacted me again for this March and I’m also doing my FET in the next couple of weeks so didn’t want it interfering or stressing me out. I emailed back first and they thought I was asking for another deferral so rejected it without even reading my reasons as apparently only allowed one deferral and that’s it. So I then had to appeal for an excusal. I placed a lot of emphasis on anxiety and the effects the failed ivf cycle in December had on my mental health and how I wouldn’t feel fit to be on a jury making decisions etc and also brought In the fact I was having counselling. I think if you really emphasise anxiety they can’t really let you be on the jury as they want people who want to be there and make sound decisions. Hope that helps you xx
