@thislittlebird they didn’t have the same appointment time available so they’d obviously given it to someone else!! 🙄 Going in at 11.15 instead!
No sadly I didn’t change clinics, wish I had now though!! We did everything through a satellite clinic last time so I thought it was them that were crap but obviously the main clinic is also crap! 😂 oh well! Too late now! Hopefully things will get better!

@thislittlebird oh yeah, I think heat is supposed to be good for growing those little follicles, so hot water bottle on the tummy is supposed to be good and keep your feet warm too! 😬

Not good about the mess up with meds. I'd definitely be playing merry hell about that .

Just a bit of advice about prescriptions I got my self a prepaid prescription from nhs website for 30 odd pound for 3 months

There was a lady today who was picking up a prescription paid 18 for 2 things. So definitely worth it if your NHS

@Justawannabemam so what was the final number you think you’re heading into EC with?

I have a few chronic conditions so I buy my prepaid certificate for prescriptions every year, I’d be broke otherwise paying for asthma, eczema, sinusitis meds constantly. It’s about £100 a year but sadly can’t use it for private stuff and I did to go to private for a couple of things over the last year during the pandemic. I didn’t pick my prescription up at all for my funded round, the clinic just delivered it to my door.

@crazycatlady1981 annoying, at least it’s the same day i guess.

I’m off to get my hot water bottle out! I have had a couple of hot (not scalding!) baths this week and was worried that was a no no but seems not lol. I have socks on right now but I actually hate having hot feet, think it’s because my eczema gets irritated.

@thislittlebird going froward with 8 although the biggest was 16 today . So that might be over matured come EC Day.

Ouh I'm having a bath tonight. Get my fleecy jamas on. Sexy eh !

@Justawannabemam yeah I think heat in general is good, probably helps circulation which will help follicles grow! So baths, hot water bottles etc. I’ve got some fleecy pjs too! Might get them out tonight!! 😀

@thislittlebird I think baths are a no no after transfer, but before is fine!

@Justawannabemam Don't blame you with your mcds, sounds delish 😃 might do the same for dinner tonight.
If it's 1mm a day then I'm not too worried as they all have a fair bit to grow and will give the smaller ones time to catch up. Have they changed your EC date? 💕

@crazycatlady1981 My dose is still the same until Monday scan. They will decide what to do then. Basically they want to see a little bit of growth from today's measurements, if they are still growing then I will continue treatment xx

@NaomiNatNat yeh ive to go back Monday. And then they think it will be Wednesday. Fingers crossed. These 2 hours journeys are taking its toll on me. X my friend is going to take me Monday.

@Justawannabemam I’m also back Monday and think I’ll likely have EC Friday.

The hot water bottle is out, cosy socks are on!

The protein and the calories are going to be high today. I’ll be better tomorrow (but still eat the protein!)

@Vslightlystressy have you resisted testing or caved. You e done very well if u resisted. I'd have done loads by now .x fingers crossed for you 🙏

@thislittlebird I get the logic with warmth and blood circulation. I've also heard that with baths the water has to be either the same temp as your body temp or lower, be careful so it doesn't raise your body temp. I will be keeping my feet warm 😊

Good luck to everyone waiting for the results of your egg collections... Its a tense few days but the hard bit it over and you can relax - yeah right 😊

@Mochii amazing news on your lining! Are you excited for Friday? Are you doing anything to prepare?

@CharlieBalf I haven’t really planned to do anything other than walking every day. I do want to look at holidays for the week after I get the result… UK if it’s positive and all inclusive abroad if it’s negative to soften the blow! Last time around I ate Brazil nuts and pineapple so I’ll probably do that 😂

@Mochii I said today that if we get any blasts we’ll book ourselves ten days in a villa with a private pool (I cannot deal with families right now). Because we’ll have the time to rebuild the savings while we do the nhs transfers. But I honestly don’t have faith we’ll get the three blasts we have transfers funded for. I hope we do, but I really would like that holiday either way 😭

@Gracie2021 sorry to hear about your scan this morning, I hope you can find some different options with the clinic for the next time.

@thislittlebird @Justawannabemam good to hear that things are growing. I had one big follicle throughout which seemed to disappear on my last scan but the nurse said it could just be squashed by the others.

@GodspeedJune well done for having your egg collection, another stage done.

@thislittlebird you should try and book something anyway, maybe just a night in the U.K. to get away if you don’t get the blasts you need! I feel like having the courage to go through IVF deserves a reward at the end of it

@Mochii we do have a trip planned actually! We’re going to Edinburgh and Inverness at the end of March for a week. We moved it from January, so we are going somewhere. But I would really like a super chilled beach break, it’s been years since we went on that kind of holiday. But we might need something sooner if we are without blasts. I did buy a two together rail card, maybe we’ll go to York for the weekend or something on the train.

Hello, I've been lurking and thought I should introduce myself; first timer ICSI, currently 2dp5dt of one beautiful "young, but good" early blastocyst... which is ironic as it's basically the opposite of my fertility diagnosis 😂

Current hobbies mainly revolve around symptom spotting and harassing Dr.Google 🤦🏻‍♀️

Good morning everyone - well I held off testing until today which was the date the clinic told me. I have just done the test and it is positive - I honestly can’t believe it and I am sure it hasn’t sunk in yet. Long way to go but good news
