Big day for a lot tomorrow. Best of luck @thislittlebird @NaomiNatNat @Mochii @Justawannabemam and apologies to any I missed. Here's hoping it's good news for us all. Had a bit of a wobble over nothing tonight, think pressure of tomorrow is finally getting to me. Needle went in funny and hurt slightly more than usual but got very teary. The emotions start to come into play from here I guess.... hope you're all doing ok xxx

@Gracie2021 thanks! I had a wobble yesterday too (more than a wobble really). I think the lack of control over the process is really hard.

@TTCinmy40s fyramadel was much better today which makes me think we picked a terrible injection site yesterday. It’s definitely stinging now still but yesterday’s attempt bled a bit too. Fingers crossed for your update!

@crazycatlady1981 I think mine is day 7 because it’s right before the weekend maybe?

@thislittlebird 100%. Didn't sleep great last night. Just want to get this first scan over with now. Have very tender breasts this morning too which I usually only get right after ovulation so have that paranoia going on now as well.

@Mochii if the scan is good today I expect you will be looking at a transfer next week! I know the feeling of taking it step by step - after my last cycle was cancelled I'm very go with the flow for this one.

My scan is Monday, due to start progesterone Tuesday. Fingers crossed.

@Gracie2021 I had an emotional wobble earlier in the week and it was the exact same time I had a wobble in my first round! I just let it happen and allow myself to have a good cry! Good luck at your scan today! Hope you’ve got lots of lovely follicles!

I had a dream last night that it was day before embryo transfer and I forgot and went out boozing!

@ttcinmy40s I think 5 is a decent number. Hopefully they will all turn into beautiful blastocysts 🍀 Is this cycle your first round?

So I'll report in with the bad and hope that all of you got better news. It's looking very likely that our cycle will be cancelled which sucks cause we lose almost all the money we paid for it. Left over has nothing, nada, zilch. Right ovary has 4 but one is 17mm and ready to go so best case scenario we sacrifice the leader and get the bottom 3 but nurse doesn't think doctor will go for that option and instead thinks they'll probably cancel and try again with a different protocol. Will hear in the afternoon. Devastated.

Ok some good news, we're actually only out 1k since it would be cancelled before egg collection. The relief.

@Gracie2021 oh no, that’s so shit and definitely sounds like a protocol issue. I’m sorry. It’s a shitty process. Are they going to scan you again to see if any have popped up since it’s only day 7? I’ve heard people say things can change as you go through.

Waiting to hear but tbh I'm inclined to cancel it myself purely due to financial reasons. Going in with three follicles is just too dicey.... will wait and see what they say though. How did you get on? Hope you have oodles of eggs?

@Gracie2021 I was going to ask about that and say it might be best to cut your losses and switch up on the protocol. Let us know what they say 💜

So my outcome was fine. It’s day 7 and there’s 10/11 growing. I’m ok with that. I have high AMH and high AFC (including on the baseline) and was sort of expecting more quantity and less quality but it’s impossible to say if the follicles are empty etc and I may not even get quality yet (I’m 39 in May). I said I’d be happy if we got 10 and now I just hope they keep growing and aren’t immature I guess. I’m back in on Monday for another scan, EC by the end of next week.

@Gracie2021 definitely not oodles! It’s a funny old game. Had 24 on day 1 but clearly they were shite and didn’t want to grow lol

@thislittlebird still a great number and you definitely tend to see more quality with a more reasonable number don't you. Plus less chance of OHSS hopefully. Glad it went well for you and so exciting for next week.

Well I've just come out 1 is 16mm the rest are all between 13 and 10 . So he was a few more days on stims I've to come back Monday and hopefully EC Wednesday. It is a bit irritating but I put my trust in that they know best . He wants the smaller ones to catch up a bit more. Cos if they get them too early they could be too immature.

Sorry for your news @Gracie2021 . Go with your head and if you think that's best go with it .

@Gracie2021 yeah, exactly, I’m happy with it and I’ve seen people who have had success with 10. My worry is we also have male factor and they might not fertilise but we’ll cross that bridge when we get there. I’ve been quite worried about OHSS with my AFC and AMH so it takes a little bit of weight off. Currently they’re about 6-14mm (I think) and she said the 6mm might not grow more so maybe count them as 10 not 11. I’ll take it. Will see what Monday brings.

@thislittlebird and @Justawannabemam that sounds really promising.
We have major male factor issues and were doing ICSI but from what I remember of the fresh cycle virtually all of them fertilised.
@Gracie2021 so sorry to hear this. It must be incredibly frustrating. Good luck with the phone call this afternoon.

@womaninkent that’s great, I’m trying to keep my expectations low but we’ll be doing ICSI too. DH predominantly has motility issues.

@Gracie2021, sorry to hear that your scan didn’t provide the positive update you hoped for. I hate this process and the fact you’re constantly just waiting to hear something, I hope they call soon so you know what is happening to this cycle

I’ve had egg collection this morning, was anyone else in a lot of pain in their ovaries? It’s almost on a level of my endo pain.

Had 8 follicles but only 5 eggs so a bit sad too.

@GodspeedJune 5 eggs is really good! You might end up with a high number of embryos from that and also less risk of OHSS. Yes it is pretty sore afterwards.

We did Fyremadel this morning and worried we cocked it up. Tried it in the thigh and it’s still really sore compared to stomach fat injections. Hopefully it’ll still work :/

@Dobcaty yeah, I’ve got room for improvement for sure, and I do like my pasta and rice. Trying to balance it so last night we made salmon fish cakes for the protein and obviously there’s potato in there but the rest of the plate was salad and edamame beans. I need to plan something for tonight.

@Janefx40 were you fairly near to ARGC? I find the commuting ok for Guys, but it’s still an hour away really, once you factor in walking and waiting. We want to move but we can’t right now with all this ongoing. Maybe in the next couple of years. I’m speaking to my nurses a lot but not because that’s built in but because I keep emailing and calling with questions 😂😭
