@LouScot Mine were always crap on the first scan, never above 10 and 2 out of 3 times they caught up by the second scan so try not to worry too much. Both times I went to egg collection with only 2 follicles so they won't cancel if you've got even one thats big enough. Such a stressful time though.

Just keeping hanging on until Monday here. Symptoms have reduced, less cramping but have a heavy feeling in my tummy now and still some period like pain in my back. Can't read into it, just want it to be Monday already!

LouScot · 26/08/2022 12:23

Thanks @Kamiros I just want egg collection over with and have some nice blastocysts with the right number of chromosomes at the end of it all! (I'm not testing, I just obviously want the right number of chromosomes!)

Hope you manage to get through the weekend without stressing too much, with good news on Monday 😮🤗

LouScot · 26/08/2022 12:23

Ignore shocked face, that's fat fingers !!

2mumlife · 26/08/2022 15:28

@LouScot Sounds like there are 3 follicles growing away and that they just need a bit longer on stims to keep them coming along :) When is your next scan to check on progress?

LouScot · 26/08/2022 15:46

Hi @2mumlife @Kamiros everyone...they're recommending cancelling

Kamiros · 26/08/2022 15:49

@LouScot Oh no, I'm so sorry. Is it because of the E2 being low then?

LouScot · 26/08/2022 15:56

@Kamiros yes 700

Kamiros · 26/08/2022 16:05

I cant remember what mine was now. Are they leaving it to you to decide or definitely cancelling? I'm really sorry.

LouScot · 26/08/2022 16:18

Thanks @Kamiros it's definitely cancelled. My lining is pretty thin too

Kamiros · 26/08/2022 16:31

@LouScot It's a horrible feeling cos you're just getting started. Hopefully they can come up with a new, better plan for you. Look after yourself over the weekend.

LouScot · 26/08/2022 18:47

@Kamiros I was told to take my trigger tonight to "get rid" of the follicle. Does that make any sense to you at all?

LouScot · 26/08/2022 18:58

Well I've just taken my trigger to cancel my cycle. If I had a partner I'd be trying just in case but unfortunately not! Feeling quite numb and cried out just now. Thanks all for all your support, hopefully hear good news from lots of you soon x

Kamiros · 26/08/2022 19:04

@LouScot I didn't have that with my cancelled cycle. It took ages for me to have another period but maybe the trigger will bring it on sooner or something. Sorry I'm not really sure. Sending loads of virtual hugs for you tonight xx

LouScot · 26/08/2022 19:09

Thank you @Kamiros I really appreciate it x

Ellennn · 27/08/2022 09:48

@LouScot so sorry to hear they have cancelled your cycle 😔 that
must be so disappointing, hopefully they will manage to tweak the meds for a good outcome next time. I suppose it’s always a guessing game and they don’t know the best dose for you until they try it. Hope you have some nice plans over the weekend xx

Hopewishprayer · 27/08/2022 10:36

@LouScot sorry to hear that you’ve had to cancel this round, this journey is so rough! Try to keep your chin up xx Hopefully once they review your treatment they can make a new plan for next time, was this your first round?

Ellenn · 27/08/2022 17:35

Looks like this one isn’t sticking 😭 hcg was 70 at 10 days past transfer but has now dropped to 58 at 12 days past transfer. Really wish it had just been negative and not got our hopes up that we might finally managed to conceive and have a baby 😭just waiting basically to start bleeding now ….

LouScot · 27/08/2022 19:30

@Ellenn sorry to hear this, so cruel to have your hopes dashed x

Kamiros · 27/08/2022 20:42

@Ellenn I'm so sorry to hear this. It's so unfair. Thinking of you.

2mumlife · 28/08/2022 09:22

@LouScot I'm sorry to hear they've recommended cancelling, that must feel so frustrating. I've not had a cancelled cycle so don't know about trigger, but the meds can screw with your cycle so don't be surprised if cycle lengths are weird for 1-2 cycles. Hopefully they can give you a review appointment quickly to look at a new plan - there are different meds and dosages that they could try. If I remember correctly you just have 1 straw of sperm, so cancelling may be the wisest choice not to waste it on a cycle where they don't think there will be a good number of eggs collected. What is your AMH? Hope you're indulging in lots of self care x

@Ellenn I'm sorry to hear your update :( I had a chemical pregnancy last June, and its feel really cruel to finally get a BFP and then have it taken away from you again. It didn't give me comfort at the time the clinic saying it was a positive sign (because it shows you can get pregnant) but ultimately it IS a positive sign / step in the right direction. Our next cycle following the CP worked, so fingers crossed for you a continuing pregnancy is just around the corner x

LT103 · 28/08/2022 10:38

@LouScot sorry to hear your cycle is being cancelled. That sucks but we just have to trust them I guess.

@Ellenn im keeping everything crossed for you!!

since I last messaged we’ve had an amazing relaxing week in the sun to forget about everything ivf. Back to reality now and had my planning call so just waiting on cd1 which should be today or tomorrow then I’ll have my dates for starting FET2. We’re doing a natural cycle again since it technically worked last time so no meds. Will start bloods from cd10 to detect lh surge then get date for transfer!!

Hopewishprayer · 28/08/2022 11:19

@Ellenn so sorry to read your update this journey can be so cruel, look after yourself xx

2mumlife · 28/08/2022 17:52

@LT103 Glad you had a relaxing holiday and that you're all set for next round. Keeping everything crossed for you!

Hoping one of you lot are online/ read this....

Starting to flap! Due to start injecting Menopur tomorrow but I haven't started bleeding yet from the Provera (just very light spotting) messaged GCRM, will call the on call number yet just wondered if anybody could shine any light before I go disrupt somebody at 10pm? Oopsie
Thanks x

LouScot · 28/08/2022 22:03

Hi @RMS0209 I had a different protocol but had to have a bleed before I started stims. What time are you due to take the medication? I think there will be someone in from 7am x
