@RMS0209 Ooh not long now. How are you feeling?

2mumlife · 22/08/2022 16:32

@Kamiros Cramping could mean anything. Remember your body is being bombarded by all sorts of crazy hormones. Just keep staying as positive and relaxed as you can.

@RMS0209 That's exciting its nearly time for stims!

OP posts:
LouScot · 22/08/2022 17:24

I started my stims last night. Trying to eat a fair bit of protein (have cheated and having protein bars) and drinking milk. Any other tips? I'm feeling so despondent today but need to think positively!

Ellennn · 22/08/2022 17:42

@LouScot stims really took it out of me so had to do a fair bit of lying around and Netflix as could t do much else without feeling awful. Definitely keep hydrated though and look after yourself! I think everyone responds differently! Good luck 🤞

Got a positive line this morning on a test 🥹 I hope it sticks 😀 (I know I should of waited till Thursday but never mind…) today the bloating is getting worse and I’m feeling nauseous I look like a balloon 🙄 still got the pelvic pain since the transfer which I suppose isn’t getting any worse but really thought it would be improving by now .. I hope it doesn’t last too long.

hope everyone else is doing ok x

LouScot · 22/08/2022 17:51

@Ellennn congratulations! Very much hope it's the first of a few for us.

Did everyone keep working throughout stims? I WFH still so I'll hopefully be able to keep doing it but I'm just not sure what to do for the best.

Ellennn · 22/08/2022 18:02

@LouScot thank you! I really hope so too.

I was working for first 4 days (which was fine!) but then had requested holiday the following week thankfully as I did struggle from day 5-8 before egg collection. Meant I wasn’t worried about getting time off for appointments and the collection!

2mumlife · 23/08/2022 08:13

@Ellennn Tentative congratulations!

@LouScot I didn't have any issues on stims, worked throughout all my cycles (just took day off for egg collections).

OP posts:
Kamiros · 23/08/2022 09:24

@Ellennn Congratulations, how are you feeling today?

@LouScot I took time off for stims for my first cycle, but I just sat around thinking about it and regretted it. I worked through the next 2 cycles. No stims this time as it was a donor egg but I feel better being back at work. If you can keep as close to normal as possible I do think it helps, but if you need to rest do that too - just listen to your body and take each day as it comes.

Cramping gone here now, just a heavy feeling in my tummy, otherwise bruised and sore but plodding on :)

RMS0209 · 23/08/2022 10:29

@Kamiros not long at all! feeling excited, bit nervous but excited.

I had a bit of spotting with the Provera but GCRM don't seem concerned so trying my hardest not to be concerned either.

How are you getting on? Just reading and catching up now. x

Hopewishprayer · 23/08/2022 12:59

@Ellennn thats fantastic news! 😊
@LouScot i wfh the full time I was in stims mainly because I was paranoid about picking up covid and then having cycle cancelled as my clinic still do covid tests before egg retrieval x

Hopewishprayer · 23/08/2022 15:36

I am going to test tonight -OTD tomorrow but I don’t want to do it in the morning then have to go to work - if it’s not good news I’d like a wee bit if time to compose myself.

im really scared I don’t want to test - I feel totally different to last time I had a bfp 🙈 do you think one person could have 2 bfp’s but have totally different symptoms?

LouScot · 23/08/2022 15:59

@Hopewishprayer yes, you hear lots of stories about women who had totally different symptoms with various results so don't read too much into the presence or absence of them. Good luck - hope it's good news x

Hopewishprayer · 23/08/2022 17:56

Thank you, unfortunately it’s a negative this time. Not even a hint of a line, DH says to still do one in the morning and to continue with my progesterone tonight but I know it’s nit going to change so not any point using any more of those dreaded things!
just need to try dust ourselves off and go again - it is getting harder each time this was 3rd round 😭

LouScot · 23/08/2022 18:00

Oh I'm sorry @Hopewishprayer xx

2mumlife · 24/08/2022 07:03

@Hopewishprayer I'm sorry things didn't look promising last night. Still worth testing this morning with first wee just to make sure. Its a cruelling process, sending you virtual positive vibes and support this morning x

OP posts:
Hopewishprayer · 24/08/2022 07:22

@2mumlife thank you for the support, still negative this morning unfortunately. I have a holiday booked for 2 weeks time so just need to get myself through next few weeks and hopefully be feeling better after a break to begin again x

Kamiros · 24/08/2022 08:24

@Hopewishprayer Oh I'm so sorry. Look after yourself over the next few days, I know how much it sucks. Holiday is a great idea, we did that after our second round when I didn't respond to stims, made us feel a little normal again for a bit.

Anxiety setting in here- 7dp5dt and I've never made it past 8 before. I think in theory I shouldn't bleed on all these meds but who knows. Really heavy feeling like period is coming.

Hopewishprayer · 24/08/2022 09:08

@Kamiros thank you for your kind words. Fingers crossed for you, not too long to go for you now, hope you have some good news x

Ellennn · 24/08/2022 10:08

@Hopewishprayer so sorry to hear that it didn’t work this time, holiday sounds like a nice idea whereabouts are you going?

@Kamiros its so hard not to notice the tiniest symptom isn’t it, I suppose you are on quite a concoction of medication so it would make it impossible to get any indication of what might happen! Hopefully this is the one 🙏

Hopewishprayer · 24/08/2022 12:30

@Ellennn off to Turkey and then Majorca for my friends birthday so lots of nice things to look forward to although dreading it slightly with the weight I’ve put on during this cycle!

2mumlife · 25/08/2022 07:02

@Hopewishprayer Taking a break sounds like a great idea. We did 7 rounds in total (4 of those were IUI) and its a really long slog - I found the more you could try to get on with life the easier it was.

@Kamiros I know the feeling of never making it to OTD. Only times I ever made it were my CP and BFP, so keeping everything crossed you there is no bleeding for you today xx

@Ellennn How are you feeling? Do you have a date for your viability scan?

OP posts:
Ellennn · 25/08/2022 10:00

@Hopewishprayerthat sounds lovely! I’m sure everyone will understand, it helped me to buy some nice cover ups to wear over bikini when I was feeling self conscious

@2mumlifemuch the same! Very bloated and bit short of breath when walking but just taking it easy! Hopefully the clinic will get back to me with a scan date soon, feels like it’s still so early I’m trying to not let myself get too excited!

LouScot · 26/08/2022 09:32

Hi all, first scan this morning, day 6 of stims. Only 3 follicles all under 10mm... hoping they're just slow growers.

2mumlife · 26/08/2022 10:31

@Ellennn Great you're not feeling nauseous yet - the nausea crept in quite early on for me, though I was only actually sick once. That and feeling really tired. Hope you get your scan date soon. The anxiety really doesn't dissipate after that positive test, it just keeps going to the next hurdle! Keeping everything crossed for you

@LouScot That's a good start. Its better they are growing simultaneously and slowly, than what happened to me both times when my lead follicles still took over and the rest were too small to produce anything. Keep remembering, its quality not quantity that matters x

OP posts:
LouScot · 26/08/2022 10:41

Thanks @2mumlife I'm just stressing it'll be cancelled due to so few but still time for growth x
