@Kamiros sounds like they have a plan, hope this is the one for you! I’m just on the pessaries which are lovely 🤣

maybe it’s a good thing you are taking the injections at least you then don’t have the option for testing! I’ve checked the ovitrelle is no longer showing on a test which is good so just need to wait it out now! I thought they would offer me a blood test though but just told me to get a normal pregnancy test!

Kamiros · 18/08/2022 15:50

I think asked clinics do that, when is test day for you? I'm on the pessaries too (aren't they a delight!) but levels were low so I'm not absorbing them they think. Injections are quite painful but it's worth it.

Kamiros · 18/08/2022 16:00

@Ellennn *some clinics

Ellennn · 18/08/2022 16:15

@Kamiros officially got another week but think I might do it 7 days after which would be Monday …. When are you due to test?

they make such a mess! The injections don’t sound fun I’m glad I’m all finished that for now certainly

Kamiros · 18/08/2022 16:25

@Ellennn Monday 29th. Feels forever away!

Ellennn · 18/08/2022 16:29

Well fingers crossed for us 🫣 I’m actually on holiday which is quite nice although missing the cocktails, if my test next week is negative i will definitely be back on them though!!

LouScot · 19/08/2022 09:51

@Kamiros @2mumlife anyone else who has done prostap at home would you mind reassuring me?? I've just taken the Prostap and I'm so worried I messed it up.

A nurse from the clinic talked me through it over the phone but I was struggling with understanding the words she was saying and what I was seeing in front of me. I lost around 4 drops when I was pushing the plunger up which she said was okay, and so then there was a few drops on my skin (which she said would be from the drops so not to worry). I pushed it down as far as possible but it took my ages - I'm just worried it came out of solution in the time it took me to do it! I pushed the needle in a bit too far too, so I'm stressed about that, if it's not gone into my skin?!?

Kamiros · 19/08/2022 10:10

@LouScot Don't worry, there's more than enough in the solution to lose a few drops. It does take ages, that's normal. Also don't worry about the needle going in too far, I think we've done that every single time and it's always been ok, it's almost impossible not too as there's no resistance really. The first time DH did it for me and I just heard him swear as I looked the other way, he'd accidentally put that whole massive needle into my thigh 😂 it was fine. Its stressful but try not to worry.

LouScot · 19/08/2022 10:20

@Kamiros thank you!! I put it in my tummy, I'm sure that's what I was told?! I'm just paranoid it resettled into powder again but I'm sure it would be okay?!? Also it was hard to tell when it was finished but couldn't see any. Fingers crossed....

How are you feeling? Are you home from Spain yet?

Really appreciate you getting back to me xx

Kamiros · 19/08/2022 10:37

@LouScot You can do tummy or thigh, I find I bruise less on the thigh is all. Yes we got home yesterday, still off work until Monday so just trying to sit and relax today- I'm not so good at that.

LouScot · 19/08/2022 10:45

@Kamiros that's good to know, I've got plenty of padding on both my tummy and thighs! I'm just overthinking, worried I've messed it up and this might cause things not to work but the nurse didn't seem to think there was an issue.

Hope you do manage to relax a little, I saw your posts how you can't test so that's good as it'll stop mind games. Have a lovely weekend x

Hopewishprayer · 19/08/2022 10:47

@LouScot @2mumlife thank you 😊
with the prostap sounds like you’ve done a better job than me, all mine leaked out into the lid and I ended up going into the clinic to get them to do another one for me 🙈 but don’t worry about losing a few drops they overfill to account for that x
@Kamiros @Ellennn great to have some transfer buddies! My OTD is wed, I don’t really feel any different which I’m slightly worried about been kept busy this week with work so not been too bad but the weekend will be tough not to test!what a great idea to take a holiday, hope you are enjoying it x

LouScot · 19/08/2022 11:17

@Hopewishprayer sorry to be a pest but was it obvious it leaked?! I'm so stressed and worried I lost it all. Do you mean before you injected it?

Lots of luck for Wednesday x

2mumlife · 19/08/2022 12:22

@Ellennn Honestly, early testing never made me feel anything but anxiety - if its negative, your anxious its not worked. If its positive, you're anxious lines aren't progressing (which is what I experienced during my CP). I'd just avoid avoid avoid testing early!

@Hopewishprayer I didn't feel any different when transfer worked compared to when it didn't work (other than I actually really, really didn't want to test the cycle the transfer worked!). Keeping fingers crossed!

@LouScot Sorry GCRM nurse did my Prostap injection for me (top of ass area, so I can't even help give details how far it went in etc!). I'm sure it'll have been fine - a few drops shouldn't be anything to worry about. Location also doesn't matter for lots of the fertility meds.

Hopewishprayer · 19/08/2022 13:50

@LouScot yes there was hardly anything left in the syringe and the lid was full of liquid, try not to worry you will be totally fine if only a few drops xx

LouScot · 19/08/2022 14:27

Thanks @Hopewishprayer I guess I'd have noticed that. I definitely only noticed a few drops but I'm overthinking everything. I had the lid off but it's have made a mess I guess!

Hopewishprayer · 19/08/2022 16:37

This process really makes you overthink every single thing! X

Ellennn · 21/08/2022 08:27

How is everyone getting on?

I’m still super bloated and ovaries sore which I was hoping would of calmed down by now but wondering if the pessaries are to blame!

Kamiros · 21/08/2022 10:06

@Ellennn I am so bloated, and nauseated - I assume its the progesterone. I'm otherwise OK, just resting before back at work tomorrow. I'm quite sore from the injections, I'm usually fine with them but both the clexane and the progesterone are pretty stingy, I'm very bruised.

Hopewishprayer · 21/08/2022 13:10

I’m not really feeling anything which is really worrying me, im 7dp5dt so anxious that I’m out! Trying to keep busy but take it easy at the same time - which is actually really difficult 😂
I think bloating can be caused by the pessaries- hopefully it eases soon x

Kamiros · 21/08/2022 17:42

@Hopewishprayer I know it's impossible but try not to worry- there's really no way of telling. I'm trying hard to rest but yes it's hard not do that and keep busy.

2mumlife · 22/08/2022 07:04

@Hopewishprayer I really wouldn't worry about not feeling anything yet, hcg levels would be super low at this point! Try not to symptom spot, as its just going to wind you up and isn't going to mean anything (I convinced myself I had symptoms on plenty BFN rounds, and felt absolutely nothing and was convinced I was out on my BFP!)

@Kamiros I didn't do Clexane but found the progesterone injections pretty nasty - only ones that ever gave me a bruise. Try moving injections sites around (thighs, abdomen etc) as I found that sometimes gave me a break. Keep at it, not long until OTD!

OP posts:
Hopewishprayer · 22/08/2022 08:26

@2mumlife thank you for the advice x

RMS0209 · 22/08/2022 09:22

Morning all.
How is everybody getting on? Not much to report here.. finishing up Provera on Wednesday (thank goodness) I seem even more emotional than normal!
All being well, I should bleed before Monday then its time for Menopur injections! x🤗

Kamiros · 22/08/2022 11:19

@2mumlife Thanks, I'll try moving it about a bit more and see if that helps. I'm covered in bruises and so sore. Cramps are really bad today. I know its just the hcg from the Ovitrelle and the progesterone but it still terrifies me.
