@2mumlife getting there thanks. I'm not a very patient patient when recovering 😆

🤞🏻 the momentum keeps going ❤️ originally referred in March 2022 to ACU

RMS0209 · 12/08/2022 16:52

That's all my meds arrived!
Roll on Wednesday to start the Provera.

How is everybody? X

LouScot · 12/08/2022 17:00

I'm good, I'm currently on provera until Sunday! @RMS0209 don't know if you've been on it before but I've had cramps with it, like period pains and a tiny bit spotting after being on it for a week now. Phoned clinic in panic and lovely nurse reassured me all was okay so don't panic if you cramp!

I've been taking melatonin for a couple of weeks now (previous online prescription for jet lag) and have to say it's made a huge difference to how I'm feeling emotionally just getting a decent night's sleep. I'm old and the stats really got me in a negative frame of mind, but I'm not lying awake now until 1or 2 am worrying which is good. I need to ignore the stats and think that sometimes people do beat the odds 😊

Hi there just having a little catch up. How is everyone getting on?

we had our transfer in March which ended in a missed miscarriage/blighted ovum and we had to be referred for an MVA at the EPU at e end of June. We have been having a little break while everything recovered but have since had a review appointment and have done our consent forms and paid for our next transfer. We are away for a holiday in the sun next week then when we get back it is planning appt 26th and period should be a couple of days after that hopefully transfer middle of September 🤞🤞

i just need to have a flick back through 2 months of posts to catch up properly now 🤣

Kamiros · 12/08/2022 19:54

@RRMS0209 That's exciting!
@LouScot Glad thats working for you, I've had really bad insomnia with the prednisolone so know how frustrating it is. Have to say I'm really missing my acupuncture with Charlotte in Spain, I saw someone else but I never get the same benefits.

@LT103 I'm so sorry to hear that, but glad that you're getting going again.

I'm only 5 days until transfer- excited, terrified, all the emotions. We fly out on Tuesday.

LouScot · 12/08/2022 20:21

@Kamiros lots of luck for next week, how exciting but totally appreciate you're going through all the emotions!! Yes, I'm missing acupuncture too, I didn't go to see anyone else though. Charlotte is back soon so hopefully we can both see her for early pregnancy sessions 😊

Kamiros · 12/08/2022 20:25

@LouScot That'd be the best 🥰

LT103 · 12/08/2022 21:30

@Kamiros exciting!!!! Not long at all!!

Kamiros · 17/08/2022 10:34

That's transfer done, embryo defrosted perfectly and all went to plan. I'm now being forced to lie still, drink tea and eat cookies 😂.

LouScot · 17/08/2022 10:37

Oh excellent @Kamiros . Wishing you all the very best. Do they have you lying down in the clinic? Enjoy the tea and biscuits x

Kamiros · 17/08/2022 10:39

@LouScot They do, for half an hour. I'm not convinced it does anything but they think it helps- maybe the relaxing more than anything else.

LouScot · 17/08/2022 10:41

@Kamiros the relaxation can only be good for you x

Kamiros · 17/08/2022 11:01

@LouScot They've just shown me my med plan for 12 weeks (fingers crossed) 5 types of pills and 4 injections a day. Fairly overwhelming and think we need to find about another £1000 we weren't expecting but all good if it works.

LouScot · 17/08/2022 11:52

Ouch @Kamiros that's a lot when you weren't expecting it but as you say if it all works it'll be worth it. Really hoping this is it for you x

Kamiros · 17/08/2022 13:18

It was a bit of a shock but they're saying UK stocks are so unpredictable now they don't recommend risking it. Now on aspirin and clexane as well as injecting progesterone as I'm not absorbing the pessaries. Doubled the steroids and the anti rejection stuff. Haven't yet worked out what it's all for.

HJen22 · 17/08/2022 15:06

@Kamiros fab news, congrats on being PUPO! Wishing you all the best xxx

2mumlife · 17/08/2022 16:41

@Kamiros How amazing to hear you've had your transfer today! Sounds like quite the drug regime but as you say just keep focussing on the positive that its worth it. Stick little bean stick!

@LT103 Keeping everything crossed for September for you. Hope you have a great relaxing break

Hi everyone, hope you are all well? I’ve been off this site for a wee while after my round in feb resulted in a MMC at 9 weeks.
Ive just gone through another round and the worry/stress just gets worse each time - this is 3rd round.
Anyway I made it to transfer and we had a 4BB transferred on Sunday - praying it sticks!

LouScot · 17/08/2022 17:34

@Hopewishprayer hope it sticks too x

Kamiros · 17/08/2022 20:27

@Hopewishprayer Sorry to hear about the MMC. Really hope this one sticks for you, mine is a 4BB too.

2mumlife · 18/08/2022 07:11

@Hopewishprayer Sending you positivie thoughts over your TWW!

LouScot · 18/08/2022 10:28

Hi all,
I've got my prostap injection tomorrow and I'm really stressing about it. I think a few of you have mentioned doing it yourself at home? Is it easy enough? I'm just paranoid I do something wrong with the mixing or that!

Kamiros · 18/08/2022 13:40

@LouScot The mixing isn't too hard but it does take forever. Don't worry about that, just take your time. It was nerve wracking the first time we did it but its really okay. Do you have a link to a video for it?

Ellennn · 18/08/2022 15:11

@Hopewishprayer and @kamiros hope you don’t mind me joining as I’m also in the awkward horrible waiting phase after embryo transfer.

struggling a bit to stay positive as I’m not sure it’s going to work as it’s my first ever cycle. Just keep looking up stats which I know I shouldn’t 😳 how are you both coping? No idea how I’m going to hold out on not testing either, but that would definitely not be helpful!

Kamiros · 18/08/2022 15:35

@Ellennn Hi, welcome to the group. This is my third transfer, 2 failed previously but I'm more hopeful this time with the immunosuppressant meds and progesterone injections. Weve just got home from Spain and I'm still in the happy we got this far stage but that may fade in the next days. I've always held off testing, mainly as I want to know if hcg is low etc. and don't want to get my hopes up with a positive home test. This time I've to take an hcg injection tomorrow and again on Sunday so a test could show false positive up until official test day anyway so I can't home test. It's really difficult waiting isn't it.
