The other thread is full so I'm hoping everyone will find this!

Thanks @Hufflepuff1 feeling nervous today, although I'm sure all will be ok.

@Infertilitywarrior one of my closest friends is due to have her little girl next week, she had bleeding throughout the whole of her first trimester, both are super healthy, so it's probably nothing to worry about 💕

@StillTrying10000 thank you, I'm just very on edge today, I think I will probably call them in a couple of hours, just to check in lol. Have felt very unsupported (from the clinic), this is my first ever FET, and other than 1 scan I have had no contact with them, which I find difficult, especially compared to a fresh cycle x

makeithappen2022 · 29/11/2021 08:32

@ExhaustedPigeon1988 good luck for today. I think the defrost is so last minute so I would say unlikely and you will be there already. I don’t think they check them again for grading on the defrost from the one I had last year but my clinic is different to yours. You will be fine, I felt so much more relaxed when it was back inside me, like I was back in control a bit. Just rest up this afternoon with a nice feel good movie, get your McDonald’s fries 🍟 (large of course) and some pineapple and you will be well away x

@ExhaustedPigeon1988 Good luck! 🍀

@Infertilitywarrior been thinking about you and glad to hear the lines are there nice and strong. As the other girls said spotting is just a symptom some people get. I actually saw an article about it which said it happens to 25% of women and there are lots of reasons it can happen or sometime none but says not to panic xx

Nerdalert · 29/11/2021 08:48

@ExhaustedPigeon1988 good luck today x

Infertilitywarrior · 29/11/2021 09:05

@makeithappen2022 thank you ❤ I've been doing my research too hours and hours of it 🤣 and it echoes exactly what all of you are saying so part of me feels more at ease that's its normal and the other part is a crazed maniac worrying about every little twinge 🤣

Infertilitywarrior · 29/11/2021 09:06

These were my tests yesterday. The line had got a tiny bit lighter so I panicked then read about the hook effect so tried to dilute it a bit and line was stronger again! I'm taking that as q really god sign as that means hcg is high! I hope 🤞

@ExhaustedPigeon1988 good luck today, sure all will be fine xx

Hufflepuff1 · 29/11/2021 09:12

@Infertilitywarrior those lines are amazing. Could you possibly get a blood test to put your mind at ease? I'm thinking of doing the same but would need to pay privately and the nearest private clinic is miles away. When do people normally get them done?

Infertilitywarrior · 29/11/2021 09:12

@ExhaustedPigeon1988 if you're feeling you want to after the transfer let us know how it went. Will be thinking of you this afternoon xx

makeithappen2022 · 29/11/2021 09:16

@Infertilitywarrior the lines are fantastic! But yes maybe a blood test would put you at ease more. Could you ask your clinic to do one?

Infertilitywarrior · 29/11/2021 09:16

@Hufflepuff1 how do I even even private for that? 🤣 I'm so new to all this 🤣 my clinic is calling me this morning I'm hoping they will offer me one or at least book me a scan ASAP as I think I'm almost close enough to be able to see or hear something
Would the blood test indicate if I was having a miscarriage or if I was happily pregnant? Xx

Infertilitywarrior · 29/11/2021 09:17

@makeithappen2022 do you know the answer to the above too? Lol xx

makeithappen2022 · 29/11/2021 09:21

So the test will measure your hcg level which should be within a certain range at a certain point of pregnancy. When I had a MC last year they checked it and the numbers weren’t progressing which was the first sign that something was wrong so the bloods will put your mind at ease as will tell you that you are in the right range.

Yes my clinic does a 6 week scan so maybe they could offer that also? X

Hufflepuff1 · 29/11/2021 09:23

I don't think it will 100% say everything will be ok because there's a chance of miscarriage either way unfortunately but it will give you a good indication of how things are progressing. I've read that the higher the hcg number the less likely you are to miscarry but doubt it rules out 100%. All I did was search private clinics that provide pregnancy hcg blood tests and Google came up with a few that are an hour away. It is quite pricey but where we have paid thousands for ivf it's minimal.

Infertilitywarrior · 29/11/2021 12:09

@Hufflepuff1 @makeithappen2022 I have my early scan booked for 15th Dec so excited 🎉The clinic have again confirmed that they aren't concerned about the spotting so I'm slightly more positive and will just keep testing 🤣 going to look into private blood test too xx

Infertilitywarrior · 29/11/2021 12:11

Does anyone else get really confused about how pregnant you actually are 🤣
I'm 18dp5dt so technically that makes me 23 days pregnant but then because of the normal working out I'm actually 5 weeks 2 days is that right? Do I go by the 5 weeks pregnant for everything because no one counts the 23 days as being the right way to do it do they? X

IVFGotThis05 · 29/11/2021 13:13

Yaaay! So many BFP !! I've just had a little read through the thread and I think there was 6 since the last time I've been on! How bloody exciting for you. Congratulations to you all :)

Hufflepuff1 · 29/11/2021 14:06

@Infertilitywarrior there's a FET due date calculator on good old Google that will tell you exactly how far along you are 😊

I just booked a blood test too because my anxiety is through the roof!

Infertilitywarrior · 29/11/2021 18:03

@Hufflepuff1 good old Google has just told me I am 5 weeks 2 days pregnant 🤣
I've been looking at private blood test places during my lunch break 🤣

makeithappen2022 · 29/11/2021 18:15

Hi Girls, google is the best (sometimes)! I’m 4 plus 4 today!

I have also booked a blood test @Hufflepuff1 my clinic said they would do it as I was nervous. One for Wednesday and another for Friday to make sur true levels are going up right!

They have booked my first scan too for the 10th eeek!!! X

makeithappen2022 · 29/11/2021 18:16

That was meant to be ‘make sure the levels’! My text doesn’t correct on here!

Hufflepuff1 · 29/11/2021 18:24

That's great your clinic have done that for you @makeithappen2022 mine are not empathetic enough. I've booked a private one for Thursday and then I'll do one for the following week too. My otd isn't until Thursday so I hope my wee sticks continue to progress, decided not to do it every day but will do every 2 days! I wonder when my clinic will give an appointment for a scan, I do know they are closed over Xmas and knowing them they will tell me to wait! I suppose the blood tests will help with anxiety... Big fat lie we all know we are going to be anxious for another 9 months 🤞🤞

StillTrying10000 · 29/11/2021 18:55

@ExhaustedPigeon1988 did your thaw and implantation go to plan today? I’ve been thinking of you.

@Hufflepuff1 if your clinic is closed you can also have private scans at 6 weeks. I’ve done mine at Window to the Womb before, great for reassurance, but just decide if you want to do that as if god forbid something isn’t going to plan they can’t tell you/ do much. A lovely Christmas present to see your baby for the first time if it is all good. So scary too though so think it though xx

AMN3000 · 29/11/2021 19:04

@ExhaustedPigeon1988 I hope it went well today!

I'm 5 weeks today! My clinic don't do beta blood tests. They are supposed to be booking me in for a scan for 2-3 weeks. There is an app so it will let me know once its booked. I should hear this week.
I found some private places that do blood tests for like £50 each time and even one through the post (its like a finger prick test). But the DH and I decided if the clinic isnt recommending it and we havent had any reasons to worry that we will hold off. I don't want to become obsessive about doing the tests. There isnt a lot we can do with the results anyway besides stress.
