Happy OTD @strawberrysummer19 😁 mine still feels like years away! At least I know I get a break from it all until June if this hasn’t worked as we are going abroad and I can’t take time off in term-time. So will go at the start of summer hols.

strawberrysummer19 · 19/11/2021 05:39

@Gensola it seems to have taken aggggges!!
It's nice to plan ahead I think, especially with the end of the year coming, new start and new year
I know xmas can be a hard time to accept infertility but also I see it as a reset to have a good drink (and maybe a cry!) and be Merry

I've had a good few years practice of this malarkey - 5 yrs of tcc takes its toll xx

CycleGirl20 · 19/11/2021 06:14

@strawberrysummer19 eeeee!!! Congratulations!!!!

strawberrysummer19 · 19/11/2021 06:18

@CycleGirl20 thank you, still hasn't sunk in x

CycleGirl20 · 19/11/2021 06:27

It's nice to see some BFPs! I forgot it can actually happen!

I'm not sure when my test day is. My clinic said to finish my progesterone + 2 days which I think is next Sunday, but I think I started my progesterone a day late by mistake and next Sunday is ages! I'd rather have the weekend to deal with any bfns I might get. Next Sunday is 13dP5dt

Gensola · 19/11/2021 06:37

@CycleGirl20 do you stop progesterone then before OTD? I have to keep going with mine, and if I get a BFP I’ll be on it until 12 weeks they said.

strawberrysummer19 · 19/11/2021 06:37

@CycleGirl20 I know it's lovely to see isn't it
I tested at 11dpt5dt but my clinic said to do it 12pdt - I can see some clinics earlier and some later but personally I think 11dpt is far enough, so I was impatient- although I don't class it as too early as it's only a day! Plus I tested in the eve 😀

strawberrysummer19 · 19/11/2021 06:38

I also take progesterone for 12 weeks
Seems so long ! X

strawberrysummer19 · 19/11/2021 06:38

Good luck for everyone testing soon and are there any collections or transfers going on? Xx

CycleGirl20 · 19/11/2021 06:40

Now I'm worried about my progesterone. @paintfairy, you said you'd stopped before your bfp right? I've had a couple of faint positives on frers before on cd11 then my period has come as if it hadn't noticed, so maybe I should ask about more progesterone

IVFGotThis05 · 19/11/2021 07:14

Yay congratulations @strawberrysummer19 !!

I got told to test 9 days after transfer and to stop progesterone whether its negative or positive ! Why are clinics so different !?

makeithappen2022 · 19/11/2021 08:05

Thank you for adding me back in!

Such great news @paintfairy and @strawberrysummer19! Congratulations!!! So so happy for you both.

What are next steps for you both? Do you have early scans etc?

Gensola · 19/11/2021 08:14

@IVFGotThis05 hmm, are you on FET or fresh? Maybe it’s because I’m on FET? Tho my best friend has a 3 month old from IVF fresh and she was on oestrogen and progesterone for 12 weeks too. It is puzzling!

paintfairy · 19/11/2021 08:34

@Gensola @strawberrysummer19 God I'm not sleeping at all. Its awful. I was awake at 1am last night, dozed off, awake by 3am, still awake by 5am. Aaarrrggghh.
@CycleGirl20 @IVFGotThis05 how odd. No I'm still on progesterone. I have to call today (OTD) and if I got a bfp then they'll give me more. I can't remember how many weeks for. A sudden stop can cause MC? I also naturally have low progesterone (they think, although the tests never showed that).

I did more tests!

@paintfairy ohh how lovely to see!!!
I have such a dry mouth!!! And the sleep what is that about?!

Called the clinic and booked for bloods on Wednesday - they had appointments today but I hate the thought of asking for more time off work last minute when they've been so good and accommodating - so I asked if I had to go today which obviously I would have but they said some people don't even have them ? So I'm going Wednesday as it's my day off xx

strawberrysummer19 · 19/11/2021 09:56

@makeithappen2022 thank you, so I have a beta booked for Wednesday and then they will book an early scan after x

MrsC2018 · 19/11/2021 09:59

Well I did test today, cause I'm WFH as woken with a stinking cold. It's a stark BFN for me.

Not surprised, but still sad. I'll be planning my 7th transfer in the new year I guess. Best of luck with your transfers, TWW's and babies ladies xx

IVFGotThis05 · 19/11/2021 10:24

@MrsC2018 Aw i'm so sorry to hear !! :( of course it will still be sad, be kind to yourself!

Hufflepuff1 · 19/11/2021 10:26

@strawberrysummer19 congratulations!!

@MrsC2018 sorry to hear that :( this journey is so crap, look after yourself x

I was wondering why my post wouldn't work on the other thread, @paintfairy thank you for tagging me.

Its transfer day for me today although I am still waiting for the dreaded call to tell me if its thawed ok or not. So nervous and scared, time went slow but at the same time I can't believe its today!

Gensola · 19/11/2021 10:33

@mrsC2018 I am so sorry to hear this - take care of yourself. Thank you so much for your kind words and support, it has meant a lot to me. Flowers

CycleGirl20 · 19/11/2021 10:46

@MrsC2018 that really sucks. Make sure you take time for yourself and look after yourself 💐.

My doctor just emailed back regarding my progesterone question. She said there's no evidence progesterone helps pregnancy but she can prescribe it to me if I want it. I googled it and there are articles saying it helps to prevent miscarriage but I'm not sure if that's just in women with a history of miscarriage 🤔

VenusStarr · 19/11/2021 10:52

I am so sorry @MrsC2018 ❤️❤️ sending a hug.

@Hufflepuff1 all the best for today. That wait in the morning is horrible.

@CycleGirl20 you could ask your clinic to test your progesterone levels? Progesterone support is definitely a thing for recurrent losses. But if it's worrying you, I'd ask them to check. In my fresh cycle mine was 56 which they were initially happy with but when I had the chemical, I got them to recheck it and it had dropped to 20. So for my FET they put me on lubion as well as cyclogest and I think that helped. But I do wonder if I had a progesterone issue anyway with the past losses. When's test day?

Glad you've got a beta booked @strawberrysummer19

MrsC2018 · 19/11/2021 11:00

Thanks all, I will be ok - this isn't my first rodeo after all and I was the luckiest of all last year to get my baby, so it might just be that I'm not to have anymore. I will try one last time though!

Thanks for your kindness, hopefully I won't be seeing any of you next year here! ♥️

Gensola · 19/11/2021 11:05

I’m running to the loo every 30 mins atm, another wonderful side effect of hormones!! So annoying as I am teaching so have to run out between classes or just teach while crossing my legs!

paintfairy · 19/11/2021 11:16

@MrsC2018 I'm so sorry. 😔 That's not the news we were hoping for. I hope you are OK. 💐💐
@strawberrysummer19 my clinic don't do blood tests. Just crap pregnancy tests. 🤣 I've called and left a message. I'll get a viability scan.
@Hufflepuff1 good luck today! 🤞
@CycleGirl20 to put you on it seems strange, if they are going to take you off it? I would slowly wean off it if you do stop. I don't know how much you are using but if 2 a day, I'd drop to 1 for a bit. So your body doesn't get a shock.
@Gensola so am I, but I don't always really need to go that much when I get there? 🤣 Nightmare.
@makeithappen2022 I get an early scan, yes.
