FET November/ December

Hi,

I'm not sure if there is already a thread open for a FET in November / December.

I was due to have a FET last week however after having two lining scans, I tested positive for coronavirus 🙄. I should now be having a FET after my next bleed (mid November) and hopefully a FET early December. Would be great to chat you others on a similar timeline. X

@Twinmummy15 I know, it's another horrible wait now isn't it?!
I know a lot say they have bfp without symptoms, so try not to stress about not having any.
I'm good thank you. Just trying to be hopeful 🤞🏼 I've been feeling twinges, but I'm thinking it's way too early to be anything, so just have to see in a couple of weeks, although I'm sure I'll test a little earlier! Xx

@ShareLove good luck in your 2ww! It is hard to hear things haven't gone as well as you'd hoped, but you have the 2 in there now so hopefully at least one will implant for you.🤞🏼 I do agree with the others though, I think sometimes the highest grades are bfn and other times the lower grades/ones they think are less likely to make it end up being bfp, so just try hang in there and we'll all keep everything crossed for you 🤞🏼🍀 hope you're feeling ok xx

The wait is hard! It's the unknown...just wish we could know now whether it's been successful so it's not dragged out for the full 2 weeks xx

Hi @lauradxoxo sorry I have been extremely quite I have been reading and checking Everyone’s updates it’s so exciting I’m starting down reg today and my transfer is booked in for 30th December so Xmas really is a great distraction hope you are ok are you in the 2 week wait now? xx

@Alexm06 I’m so sorry about your previous cycles have they changed anything for you for this protocol? I had a failed fresh and this is my first fet they have upped my progesterone and I had a endometrial scratch to help implantation don’t know if this would work but hoping it triggers something xxx

@Lotusflower1990000 I am now on a lose
dose steroid.I have previously had the scratch but didn't work for me but some other woman swear by it. My progesterone was upped last cycle so lubion was added on top on cyclogest so yeah at this cycle I'm on progynova, steroids, cyclogest and lubion. I hope the scratch works for you!

@tulipsandsnow I am doing a medicated my doctor mentioned about maybe natural but on my last cycle my lining didn't get thick enough until CD26 I think it was and now we're on our first privately funded treatment we just couldn't afford a cancelled cycle of my lining decided to play up again

@Lotusflower1990000 awww that’s great to hear you have started!! I am still a while behind the other girls have my lining scan on Tuesday and all being well transfer will be on 6th December.

@lauradxoxo god it really is! It's crazy seeing a positive on my first ever cycle thinking wow my first cycle and it worked to here now 4 cycles down about to start my fifth! But it's just what some of us have to do. We are all so strong to even do one cycle! No down regulating for me I am having a frozen transfer and had my first scan today have another one next week to see how my lining is. If it's ready transfer week after but my lining likes to play games sometimes so I doubt I will transfer then maybe the week after Hahaa. How about you?

@FET2021 How are you doing?
Yes I also read so many people don't have any symptoms and still get a BFP. I think it's just because I'm comparing my other two transfers I just know kind of what to expect, but perhaps it isn't the same time.
My BFP I had bleeding at about 5 dpt... as it was my first ever cycle I thought it was a period and was really upset it didn't work and also stopped taking the meds. Called my clinic and they said to continue meds and still test, so that gave me hope. And they were right as it was BFP.

The 2nd fresh cycle transfer I didn't get any bleed, so I just knew it hadn't worked 😪 I'm so bad at analysing everything! This time I'm really trying not to 🙈

@ShareLove congrats on your double transfer. I know that's not what you were expecting but fingers crossed this is your time and you'll get a positive from at least one of those embabies.

When re everyone's test days? And is it via blood or pregancy test?

My test date is 8th of December ! 2 weeks from trasfer ! And I’m surely going to test 2 nd of December ! 7 days past trasfer ! I just want to know earlier . When is everyone else’s dates and when are you actually testing ! Early ?

Good job I go back to work tomorrow for the next 3 days so it will keep me busy over the weekend

Hi All! Would I be able to join? I’ve been following all of your messages and crossing all fingers for some bfps on this thread 🤞🤞🤞
I’m on my first fet. Did a freeze all on a fresh cycle a couple of months ago because I overstimulated. Now waiting for my lining to be thick enough. It was 5.6 day day 8 so they upped my meds and going back next Monday (day 15) for scan 3 to see if it’s improved. Time just moves so slowly! Desperate to fast forward and get to my next scan. Will be devastated if they cancel this cycle :-(

Can I ask everyone’s thoughts on something. After the transfer what do you do? Netflix on sofa/ dont move for a couple of days or walk about/keep gently active?

Tahts crap taht your fresh cycle was cancelled !!!! I had exactly the same problem as you , few months ago mine got cancelled for the same reason ! I was sooooo disappointed because I knew I have to wait couple of months to go again for FET . But here I am I had my transfer yesterday !!
Good luck for you lining scan, I’m sure it will be thicker and they have upped your medication so it has to do something !
One thing I learnt with ivf is that nothing is ever guaranteed , anything can go wrong hours to minutes before ! I had many many ups and down ! It’s really shit ! It really is !
Can I ask how many embryos did you get from fresh cycle ! ? How many have they froze ?
And advice about after trasfer : in my humble opinion , I just do whatever I always have done , I haven’t changed anything , I haven’t started walking, I haven’t changed anything to what I normally do ! I do my usual stuff go to work lay on couch , just my usual every day activities , the reason why I won’t put lots of effort into changing things is because I know it won’t make a difference really and also if my transfer fails then I won’t feel like I wasted 2 weeks away form my life trying to be extra cautious and not enjoying my life and i would feel extra disappointed if I bed rested and did everything different to what I do now , and still end up with negative test , so that’s why I carry on as normal . 😀 obviously I don’t do anything extreme or drink alcohol or anything like that xx

@coffee1988 in my opinion , the embryo works or it doesn’t , simples as that , I don’t belive in bed rest etc , that’s only for if it makes you feel better .
Just imagine people who conceive naturally , they don’t even know they are pregnant and they do all sorts , drink alcohol , excercise , run all these stuff so that’s why I don’t belive in being extra caucious after ivf transfer , it’s pretty much the same as someone who conceived naturally and doesn’t know yet , the only difference is that we know already

@Twinmummy15 thank you for asking sure I'll share, to clarify though its not official test day, far from it is just 4dp6dt, but I'm determined to catch a chemical if there was one so didn't wait.

I just know it hasn't worked Embryo was euploid, but I feel like I would feel some sort of something by now, it was a day 6 blast and ALSO fully hatched after all, and a fair few women do get their first positive on day 4, not day 5 or 6.

Anyway, the test this morning at 4 days post transfer was as negative as it gets, by Saturday at 6 days post transfer I think thats when I'll truly know/accept for certain its done, maybe Sunday 7 days but yeah...with FRER I think its very rare a live birth would happen after no even hint of a line FRER 7dp6dt as I understand it.

Thank you so much all. This is really helpful. It’s so easy to overthink everything. I feel like I’m going mad. Good to know you both just crack on as normal (or as normally as you can). I literally can’t wait to get to the transfer date. God I hope it happens.

@ShareLove, so yes I was pretty devastated that they had to cancel the fresh one but I was warned pretty early on. I produced something like 40 follicles and could barely walk so not really surprising. They collected 27 eggs, 20 fertilised and then I ended up with 4 blasts in the freezer. 2 x 4aa, 4ab and a 4ba. I assume they’ll pop in a 4aa but we haven't discussed with them yet. I wish they’d do 2 but not a chance given it’s our first attempt. So will just to have sit tight and hope for the best. Haven't had them tested so no idea if they're OK genetically, another reason I wish they'd just stick two in!

@tulipsandsnow dont give up yet!! 4 days is SO early. Remember it takes a few days for implantation (even with a day 6) and then for the hcg to be picked up in your pee.

Please don’t give up yet , as @coffee1988 said , even if it’s 6 day embryo , it still needs to implant , and it can take couple of days still , just imagine in a normal natural cycle , some people implant on day 5 while others not until day 10 , that’s even in normal natural cycle . So let’s say your embie is 6 days old , maybe it will implant today latest which would make it day 10 in a normal natural cycle ? Or maybe implanted yesterday but the hcg levels are not high enough just yet ?
Anyways I know exactly how you feel , it’s easy for other people to say don’t give up but sometimes you know deep down inside that wishful thinking won’t get you anywhere but just give you false hope and then you’re even more disappointed ! but anyways let’s wait and see okay ? Miracles happen
I feel like I’m out already , I’m only 1 dpt , my 2 embies are even worse than yours , mine were partially survived. So my chances are even lower . I have written this cycle off pretty much but back of my head I’m still hoping for miracle .

@coffee1988 wow 27 eggs soooo many
I had 17 eggs collected and still got OHSS , and I had 5 x 5 day olds embryos in the freezer . Xx all 5 were great quality early blasts but I had my FET trasfer yesterday and one embie didn’t survive thaw and they other 2 partically survived , lost some cells so that’s why I put 2 in, and 2 still left .

@coffee1988 and also I was so happy to have 5 in the freeze but I come to realise that it doesn’t matter anymore because they won’t be the same as fresh , some won’t survive and some might lose cells , so you’d have to be very very lucky for the embryo to thaw beautifully . X x

@ShareLove oh crap this is terrifying! I'll never have a fresh cycle as I'll always over stimulate. I'm going to be a nervous wreck if I ever get to the point of defrosting the poor things!

@ExhaustedPigeon1988 I only have my scan for next week booked in. My lining is never thick enough on the first scan so we will see how it goes. Yeah it's hard being so close to Xmas but I'm hoping it will all be done by then as my clinic close so I'm guessing if I'm not ready they will just cancel.

Of course! I suppose you'll be thinking of all the symptoms you had then. Lucky you continued the medication. Bet your were so happy to see that bfp!
Whilst you don't want to feel nauseous etc. It would be nice because it would give some indication that it's worked. I know that sounds absolutely ridiculous, but I just hate the waiting and unknown.

@coffee1988 wishing you the best of luck for your scan next Monday. Hopefully your lining is at the thickness you need. I agree with @ShareLove with doing what you feel comfortable with after transfer.
Definitely know how you feel with not being able to walk after egg collection! I had 43 collected, 21 fertilised and 4 blasts.
Think it took a week before I felt a bit more normal after it! Xx

@tulipsandsnow sorry you're feeling shitty. It's hard to shake that feeling if you think it hasn't worked. It is still early though. Even if it's implanted, the hcg would still need to have built up enough to be detected even with a frer. Wishing you luck for your tests over the next few days 🤞🏼 xx

@FET2021 oh I was so glad I continued the meds. Although I stopped for 1 day when I started bleeding as I genuinely thought it was all over. I couldn't believe it when I got my BFP. It really was a dream come true.
How are you doing? Are you having any symptoms? Will you be testing early?

@tulipsandsnow please don't give up just yet. You really never know. I know it's hard to stay positive when you see a negative, but I suppose they give an official test date for a reason. I do understand though as I suppose you know your body and what you're feeling inside too.
Just keep going! Miracles do happen. 💕
