Hi,

I'm not sure if there is already a thread open for a FET in November / December.

I was due to have a FET last week however after having two lining scans, I tested positive for coronavirus 🙄. I should now be having a FET after my next bleed (mid November) and hopefully a FET early December. Would be great to chat you others on a similar timeline. X

@Twinmummy15 I'm glad it all worked out ok And you had your bfp.
I'm good thank you. Just really hoping it'll be successful. Don't think I could cope with another failure!
Yes, knowing me, I most definitely will be lol. How about you? Xx

lauradxoxo · 25/11/2021 22:19

Awww @tulipsandsnow definitely don’t give up hope! Your still so early there’s till plenty of time just try and stay positive I know it’s so hard tho!

Has anyone used buserelin as a nasal spray? I’ve to start it tommorow and I can’t remember if the nurse told me to spray just once or twice anyone know lol xxxxxxx

tulipsandsnow · 25/11/2021 23:30

Thanks so much for the kind words ladies💕, I'll keep you updated of course

@coffee1988 welcome to the thread! your four embryos are good gradings, surely there is at least one sticky in that batch. Good luck for your scan on Monday!x

Agapanthus13 · 26/11/2021 08:35

Morning all, how’s everyone doing? Things have been a bit quiet my end but I’ve been trying to follow along with you all. So great to see so many of you in the 2ww now! Hope you’re all keeping sane? I’m terrible for caving and doing loads of tests (most months I test out of hope!), so I know that feeling well. Hang in there ladies!

I’m currently waiting for my period to start, need it in the next week (due on 2nd) if I’m to get my December transfer and avoid the Xmas closure. Feels so extremely tight, but I don’t want to concede to a January cycle already (is that silly?!) I’ve waited for what feels like so long to do a transfer, (just over 18months now since we started IVF at our clinic now & still yet to do a transfer) and finding the thought of another delay due to Xmas really hard to accept (bit emotional this am with the stress, sorry for the rant).

@Alexm06 good luck for your scan! Do you have any idea of what transfer dates you’re working to? If I make the December cycle date then I’ll be transferring on 22nd so we might be close to each other!

tulipsandsnow · 26/11/2021 09:56

@Agapanthus13

"I’m currently waiting for my period to start, need it in the next week (due on 2nd) if I’m to get my December transfer and avoid the Xmas closure. Feels so extremely tight, but I don’t want to concede to a January cycle already (is that silly?!)"

I could have exactly written that! I just got off phone with consult to talk about the exact cutoffs for if my current TWW doesn't work and period comes last few days of Nov or first few days of December, and then if I mis that cut-off talking about the latest I can fly back from abroad to start January cycle- but don't want to accept that it wouldn't be the December one, as have work in February that would make an FET almost impossible. Blerg! Fingers crossed for you it comes as soon as possible x

Agapanthus13 · 26/11/2021 13:59

@tulipsandsnow I think it’s the lack of control - it makes planning anything so tricky! Really hope you have a positive outcome from your 2ww so you don’t have to stress over doing another transfer & working around travel & Xmas etc. But I totally get the ‘planning ahead’. I only have two frozen embies (which seem so few compared to everyone else) so I’ve already been thinking ahead incase we loose one in the thaw & the transfer doesn’t work - planning for the worse hoping for the best 💕

tulipsandsnow · 26/11/2021 14:07

@Agapanthus13 I know, so much of IVF is 'wait and see' and 'hope for the best', its utterly draining after a while!
If this TWW doesn't work it would actually be a stim/egg collection cycle starting at beginning or of December- I only ever had two frosties, this is the first one waiting to see work and I don't have the emotional capacity to go through another transfer with it being the last one. I decided its best to get more eggs out before I get any older, even I its just the difference of a few months.
I the epitome of a plan for worst hope for best, my clinic a bit baffled how little I want the positive thoughts etc etc, they didn't even have a way to book a consult for another EC when still waiting on results of an FET because their system considers you PUPO. I think its a bit silly- why assume that something is going to work when planning ahead for plan B can make a big difference? Anyway they've done as much as they can to plan ahead for the next immediate cycle if it turns out being necessary, but I still can't do the formal consent forms for the next cycle until the FET has officially failed.

tulipsandsnow · 26/11/2021 14:11

**To clarify, I get that in many cases it doesn't make sense to consult about doing another cycle before knowing conclusively if the last one worked or not- BUT in some cases it might, such as in my case where not doign it ahead would delay the entire cycle an entire month. As if this FET fails and I find out by getting my period, I wouldn't' have been allowed to start stimming the next day cd2 without the consult having formally reviewed the file, make stim prescriptions, and done consent forms. Since they've made an exception, we have just sorted the consultant review and scripts, so if we need to can scramble to just do the consent forms in a one day turn around which is possible (whereas review consult wouldn't' have been- they get booked out for weeks)

tulipsandsnow · 26/11/2021 23:34

Some hesitant good news potentially! Pretty sure these are real lines- top one is from FMU and bottom from just now. Only 5dp6dt so too soon to really get excited I think, but I'm shocked there's even a line in the first place Shock

ShareLove · 27/11/2021 04:47

@tulipsandsnow omg congratulation 😍😍😍😍 soooooo happy for you ! That is sooo positive sigh that you are pregnant , getting lines so early too is amainzg wow ! Xxx

Twinmummy15 · 27/11/2021 08:12

@tulipsandsnow wow! Congrats! Definitely can see those lines. Really positive sign to see lines this early. All that worry the day before with the negative, just shows you it really can change.
So exciting for you!

FET2021 · 27/11/2021 08:16

@tulipsandsnow congratulations!! Brilliant news. So happy for you and you've given me hope xxx

@Agapanthus13 really hope your af arrives in time for you 🤞🏼 hope you're doing ok with all the waiting xxx

@Twinmummy15 @ShareLove @Novavee how are you feeling (sorry if I've missed anyone in 2ww).

Hope everyone is hanging in there 💗💗

Twinmummy15 · 27/11/2021 08:20

@FET2021I am OK thanks. How are you?
I just feel a bit down at the moment, just feel like it's not going to be successful for me. How are you doing? I'm hoping we can fill this thread with positive results. Wishful thinking.

@tulipsandsnow do you have any symptoms or even loss of symptoms?

Faerun · 27/11/2021 09:20

2ww waiters, hang in there! I was convinced neither of my previous transfers worked, and I was wrong 50 percent of the time - and I had pretty much the same symptoms for both.

@tulipsandsnow That’s definitely a line, congrats!

My last scan was good so we’re booked in for Thursday. We only have one frozen embryo so I am completely convinced it won’t survive the thaw, but hopefully all will go well.

FET2021 · 27/11/2021 09:34

@Twinmummy15 I'm feeling the exact same! I'm kind of nervous to test because of the last failure. Just feel like it will never work for me 🙈
Definitely!! I'm keeping everything crossed. Praying it works for us all. Xx

@Faerun thanks for the reassurance. It's what I need to hear! Really wish you the best for transfer and hopefully your little embryo will bring you your bfp 🤞🏼🍀 xx

Alexm06 · 27/11/2021 15:02

@Agapanthus13 I have no idea yet my first
Frozen j transferred at CD 22 the my second it was CD31 so yeah who knows depends what my body feels like doing. It's my last frozen so yeah I'm trying to be hopeful but it's hard. So yeah we could be close!

ExhaustedPigeon1988 · 27/11/2021 21:06

Hey, hope everyone is coping well? Have been abit distant last few days, I do apologise...

Have had a really rough few days. So me and my other half have our own salon, one of the girls have gone down with covid, and 2 others have been off sick. Was meant to be off since Tuesday, but with no staff have been forced to work. To top it off, after transfer Monday we had a UK holiday booked, which we have also had to cancel, and we now have to work Thursday Friday and Saturday. I get this isn't anything major to a lot of you, who are super hero's and work through the whole thing, but running a 10 girl team, with 8 sunbeds, hair and beauty, is pretty damn stressful, and really was trying to avoid it. Plus with our supervisor being off with covid, that has created a whole other meltdown!

Anyway, I have my Double FET Monday.... it's finally only 2 sleeps away :) we have 3 blasts frozen, and I'm now starting to worry about % of them that make it through the thaw. Am I just worrying over nothing? Do you lose many?

After the transfer I will probably be signing out for a couple of days as I will be turning my phone off and concentrating on these embryos growing- hopefully, and I don't want work or anyone contacting me with any drama lol. So want to wish everyone all the very best and sending loads of positive thoughts to each and everyone of you x

ShareLove · 27/11/2021 21:33

@ExhaustedPigeon1988 awww sorry you have had a hard week ! Keep positive ! Think about your transfer day and you’ll feel happier 😍

About the embryo thaw .
I was originally supposed to thaw one embryo to get one trasferred but ended up thawing 3 of them , one didn’t survive and 2 partly survived so I trasferred both . Because they lost a lot of cells after freeze damage .
So really all you need is luck ! It can go either way . I was so naive thinking thaw is 90% effective , how wrong was i? I had to go through 3 to find one good one 😞 even though they’re were great quality before freezing . Good luck , hopefully you’ll have much better luck xxx

ShareLove · 27/11/2021 21:35

How many days past transfer is everyone and when you planning to test 😍?

ExhaustedPigeon1988 · 27/11/2021 23:01

@ShareLove thank you, hoping for a miracle :) how are you getting on? X

tulipsandsnow · 27/11/2021 23:01

I was just looking back to see who else is in the TWW and realised that we almost had five days in a row of one lady transferring each day on this thread! (Nov 19th, 21st, 22nd, 23rd, 24th!) How's everyone holding up? @Novavee I think you said your OTD is tomorrow- everything crossed for you! 🤞🏼🤞🏼

For me I have my faint positives so am now just sitting here waiting for it to be a chemical. The trade-off of getting news early- knowing that you still have to wait many days to get to the 4 week mark, and knowing the stats on how common chemicals are! When things have gone wrong even when they shouldn't enough times, hope feels like a more scary thing than a good thing- anyone else ever feel like that?

ExhaustedPigeon1988 · 27/11/2021 23:08

@tulipsandsnow hope is harder to deal with than anything else, which is why I think I spend all the time worrying, as then I'm not hopeful and risking the disappointment. It's so hard to be positive when you have been hurt so many times isn't it! X

Novavee · 28/11/2021 09:22

Hi everyone,

Sorry I've a bit absent. I've been quietly reading your updates and keeping my fingers crossed for everyone, whilst willing for the tww to pass.

Welcome @Alexm06 @coffee1988 good luck with your cycles.

@tulipsandsnow Congratulations! I am so happy for you. I hope that line gets nice and strong soon. When is your OTD?

@ExhaustedPigeon1988 I am sorry you've been having a rough couple of days. This is already too stressful without the added pressure caused by work. Good luck with your transfer tomorrow. Take as much time as you need to take care of yourself after the transfer. Regarding the thaw, it really depends. Ours was not the best quality when frozen (and still the best of the bunch) and it actually seemed to improve with freezing and thawing, so you really never know.

Novavee · 28/11/2021 09:33

On my end, it's OTD today and it's a BFP! I woke up convinced it hadn't worked so I was quite shocked to see that second line. It's still early days and I will test again on Tuesday to see if the line is stronger but for now, we're enjoying the news.

To everyone on the tww, hang in there. You've got this! Sending lots of baby dust all around.

FET2021 · 28/11/2021 09:48

@ExhaustedPigeon1988 sorry it's been a tough few days.
Good luck with your transfer on Monday 🤞🏼 x

@tulipsandsnow how are you feeling after your bfp? Have you done anymore tests for a stronger line? X

@Novavee congratulations! Nice strong line. X

I'm only 5dp5dt today, but tested - bfn.
I now it's still early, but feel like I'm out as most have had even a faint positive by now 🙈
