FET November/ December

Hi,

I'm not sure if there is already a thread open for a FET in November / December.

I was due to have a FET last week however after having two lining scans, I tested positive for coronavirus 🙄. I should now be having a FET after my next bleed (mid November) and hopefully a FET early December. Would be great to chat you others on a similar timeline. X

@ExhaustedPigeon1988 can I ask what was your last injection today for ? Xx you are doing a FET trasfer aren’t you ? Not egg collection ?

ExhaustedPigeon1988 · 23/11/2021 19:26

@ShareLove I didn't ask tbh. The lady didn't seem to have much time, last time I got an information sheet to tell me what to do and when the transfer was, this time I haven't had anything, and I'm frustrated I haven't even really got a set time, but very grateful for positive scan.

Everyone on here seems really lovely. It's so nice to connect with people going through something similar to you, it's really helped :) I think it's easier to rant online, and share worries. I find it easier to be open on here, more than I do face to face with people I know lol x

ExhaustedPigeon1988 · 23/11/2021 19:28

@ShareLove it's buserelin, I had 36, I have just finished half hour ago :) so glad they are over! Worst headaches ever, lasted all the way through x

ExhaustedPigeon1988 · 23/11/2021 19:29

@ShareLove sorry, missed half on the answers lol, yep FET, no egg collection, I had 1 transferred fresh in august, BFN. I have 3 Frosties, 2 being returned Monday :) x

ShareLove · 23/11/2021 19:36

@ExhaustedPigeon1988 this FET cycle for me seems like it’s taking forever haha ! I also Down regulated first so it’s been like 8 weeks for me all together from the day I started norethisterone tablets or downregulation . Grin bloody long time !!

ShareLove · 23/11/2021 19:40

@ExhaustedPigeon1988 wow 2 embies at once 😍 what’s the reason you get to trasfer 2 ? Was it your choice or did they recommend ? At least you’ll still have 1 left in the freezer if anything goes wrong but hopefully all goes perfect !
Do you know the grades of you embies ? Xx

ExhaustedPigeon1988 · 23/11/2021 19:46

@ShareLove I have 2x 3BB, and a 5BC, getting the 2 3BBs transferred this time- my request, couldn't face another BFN so decided to go for it, if I was allowed I think I would have had all 3 TBH. I'm a go big or go home kinda girl 😂

ShareLove · 23/11/2021 20:09

@ExhaustedPigeon1988

@ExhaustedPigeon1988 wow so good !!!
I wish I could have 2 trasferred . My clinic won’t let me or didn’t even ask me if I wanted to .
I have 4x 3BB and one is 3AA which I’m transferring tomorrow ! Only one . Maybe if this one fails I can ask for both 3BB together and if that one fails too then I’ll go for the last 2 , 3BB’s Grin

ExhaustedPigeon1988 · 23/11/2021 20:13

@ShareLove FET is defo worse that fresh, I really struggled with how long it's taken to get here! The clinic didn't really get too much choice as I'm private so I politely told them I was doing 2 lol. Wow you do so well to get so many embryos, that's really amazing and all good grade too! X

FET2021 · 24/11/2021 08:45

@ExhaustedPigeon1988 thanks. It definitely is hard work!
Good that your lining is looking great!
Fingers crossed all goes well for your transfer on Monday 🤞🏼 xx

@ShareLove good luck for your transfer today! Hope everything goes well for you.
Thanks for looking up that or me too. I'm trying to remain optimistic.
Let us know how you get on xx

FET2021 · 24/11/2021 08:48

@Twinmummy15 @tulipsandsnow @Novavee

How are you feeling?

Hope everyone else is doing ok with the stage they're at presently? Hard waiting, so hope you're all hanging in there, mentally and physically 💗

Twinmummy15 · 24/11/2021 09:28

@FET2021 Heya! I'm feeling okay. Not really trying to symptom spot, but it's totally in the back of my mind. Don't feel any different which is making me more anxious. 😕 this is sooooo hard! I want to get to test day, bit also don't want to.

How are you feeling hun? Any noticiable symptoms?

@ShareLove good luck today! This is your day. Hope all goes well x

lauradxoxo · 24/11/2021 09:41

lauradxoxo · 24/11/2021 09:42

ShareLove · 24/11/2021 10:17

Thank you everyone ! Just waiting for a call form embryologyst around 11 am for update then I get a time for trasfer xx will keep you updated xx

tulipsandsnow · 24/11/2021 11:05

@Fet@FET2021 thanks! hanging in there, just under 72 hours post transfer now, just did first test, so I could see what a proper negative looks like on a first response to compare later potentially.

@Twinmummy15 nothing other than try to stay as relaxed as possible, co-worker covering my in-person work stuff, and being sure to walk a lot every day to keep blood flow. I have been pregnant before, twice, once in middle of uni and once a few years ago. Both times accidental/was on oral contraceptive - the one a few years ago partner at the time wasn't ready for. The one while I was in uni, I know I got severe symptoms super early, as they were confused how I could know I was pregnant and have so much symptoms before 5/6 weeks. But, maybe I was 4+ weeks then, I don't know anything about dates as was so long ago. Then the recent one, again severe symptoms but may have been after 4/5 weeks so not sure that it means anything before 4 week which still would be now obviously...

@ShareLove good luck keep us updated! x

tulipsandsnow · 24/11/2021 11:26

Realised I should clarify that the two accidentals were entire 10 years apart, and the last one was 'more recent' but not exactly recent, 5 years ago. Partner at time didn't want to be a parent yet and we were worse than broke (I had no income no legal right to work in UK at the time and no right to public benefits) so terminated- we're no longer together obviously. It never occurred to me that might be my last chance to be a parent- not in a thousand years did I think that. Shortly there after got stable job in UK, ended things with that partner. Now almost 5 years later, stable and with someone that wants to be a parent, realising it might not actually work, its a total mindf* excuse my language.

ShareLove · 24/11/2021 13:10

Hey !! I have done my trasfer and I’m back home.
Well my trasfer did not go as planned !
They had to thaw 3 embryos out of 5 to trasfer 2 back in..
First choice embryo partly survived but lost some cells , so they thawed another one to see if It’s better , so the 2nd didn’t survive . Then they thawed 3rd one and this also partly survived so I trasferred number 1 and 3 because they both don’t have as high chance for pregnancy like 1 fully survived embryo .
So I don’t know what to think anymore .
Never expected to transfer 2 but because they have far less chance of implanting, they decided for me to have 2 in for tiny bit higher chance . So I feel blah Confused
Not looking forward to this at all . Can’t belive my embryos are so crap when they were so good when frozen 🤨 now I have 2 in the freezer but probably just as crap Quality as these 2 I had …. I can’t understand they were so good quality before freezing .

Aww @ShareLove that’s such a shame to hear I am so sorry. Try not to feel to disheartened though I really don’t think the grading makes much of a difference and now you’ve got two on board you still have a great chance!! Plus they were such excellent quality to start with they are probably still good quality now.

I know how it feel when things don’t go to plan though but try not to stress the 2WW is hard enough! I will be keeping everything crossed for you!!

@tulipsandsnow hope your hanging in ok it’s so hard isn’t it!! When are you testing? Xxxx

tulipsandsnow · 24/11/2021 15:03

@ShareLove sorry to hear that! sounds really stressful, and after you had the stress of the one day delay too :/ They didn't offer any info why it could have happened then I take it?

tulipsandsnow · 24/11/2021 15:03

@lauradxoxo well, technically I tested this morning, but that wasn't expecting a positive, it was specifically so I could see what a negative looked like on the FRER's as baseline. I'll probably test first time for real tomorrow morning, as I understand it plenty of ladies see a very faint line first on 4dp5dt, and if you count that as 9 days post ovulation this site says that about 50% of women can see a positive (even if very faint) on 9dpo www.countdowntopregnancy.com/pregnancy-test/dpo-chart.php?dpo=9

Novavee · 24/11/2021 15:34

Hi everyone,

Apologies for beong MIA for so long.
Wow this thread is moving fast.
Welcome @ExhaustedPigeon1988 @tulipsandsnow

@ExhaustedPigeon1988 I'm sorry about your BFN. I hope this will be your cycle. Great news that your scan went well and your transfer is booked for Monday. Good luck!

@tulipsandsnow I'm also with the Lister but on a natural cycle with LP support. I am sorry you've had such a hard time until now. I hope your little embie is snuggling in nicely. I get how impossible it is not to symptom spot. I am overanalyzing every twitch and sensation then I think I don't feel pregnant but I've never been pregnant so how would I know?!
Oh, I just saw your last message, eeeekk how exciting! Good luck!

@Twinmummy15 congratulations on being pupo! I am glad your transfer went well and I'm sorry about your discomfort. I too hate the speculum. They can never get it right the first time and have to test different sizes... relax and try to enjoy this time. Easier said, I know...

@Faerun I hope the tablets do the trick and you get a nice thick lining.

@ShareLove I'm sorry you went through the stress of a delayed transfer and then such an emotional rollercoaster. I hope in transfering two your clinic gave you the best chances of a bfp. Remember that when embryos are tested they have to remove a few cells, so they might still be really good quality and recover now they are where they belong.

@FET2021 yay to being pupo! I am keeping my fingers crossed for a lovely BFP for you.

I'm ok, 5dp5dt so far. The best thing I did was going away for a few days. It helped me not obsess as much and relax. We did some lovely walks and spent time with my sister I hadn't seen in a while. She is one of the few people IRL that know about the FET so it was great to be able to talk about it. On my way home now and on the contdown to OTD which is Sunday. I never understood the urge to test early until now. I wish I had a little camera pointing inwards to see what was going on with my little embryo. I thought the wait to start was bad, and it was probably the worst but the tww is a whole different level!

Sorry if I missed anyone. I hope you're all doing great! xx

Novavee · 24/11/2021 15:36

@tulipsandsnow oops, sorry i just realised I misread your message. Good luck with testing tomorrow.

tulipsandsnow · 24/11/2021 16:31

@Novavee thank you! Flowers

Alexm06 · 24/11/2021 18:10

Hey guys. Hope you don't mind me joining. I am quite a bit behind a lot of you by the looks of it. I am about to start my 3rd FET but 5th transfer overall. 1st ended in a missed miscarriage 2nd and 3rd failed and 4th was a chemical so now ready to transfer my final frozen embryo before I have to do another fresh. Hopefully I won't have to! I see a lot of you are now in the dreaded 2WW, good luck to you all! X
