FET November/ December

Hi,

I'm not sure if there is already a thread open for a FET in November / December.

I was due to have a FET last week however after having two lining scans, I tested positive for coronavirus 🙄. I should now be having a FET after my next bleed (mid November) and hopefully a FET early December. Would be great to chat you others on a similar timeline. X

@Twinmummy15 just had the call and mine is being booked in for Tuesday, so you'll be a day ahead of me! X

@FET2021 awww ok! Yay glad it's been booked. You're the same day as @ShareLove then. When do you start progesterone ladies?

@Twinmummy15 yes, excited now!! Have to go for a Covid swab on Friday. That's another thing to worry about!

I had a lining scan yesterday and all is well , lining is between 8.5-9 mm
What was your do you girls know ?
I am starting progesterone pessaries today ! 7 days before my trasfer my trasfer is on Tuesday 23rd !
I’m on utrogestan 600mg pessaries from tonight .
Also on 10mg estradiol tablets from today .
Can’t belive we all doing transfer Neally same day 😍 so exiting !

I start my lubion after trasfer as well as pessaries .

I also have to go for Covid test on Friday 😂 @FET2021

Do you girls know what grade embryo you will be transferring ?
I will be transferring 3AA .
I have 5 in the freezer . Fresh cycle got cancelled due to OHSS few months ago .

@FET2021 @ShareLove I start my lubion and cyclogest tomorrow. Apparently have to have 5 days of progesterone.

My lining was just under 8mm, but they didn't seem concerned by it?
I assume they think by trnasfer day it will be 9mm. I've never had a lining issue with both my fresh transfers and first transfer resulting in my twins. So I'm trying not to over analyse everything.

It's really weird how back in 2014 for my first cycle I was actually very unaware of things. Maybe this time round I've just researched too much! 🤔 which obvs doesn't help.

Cd13 today and it was 7.2mm and triple pattern. They've said it will thicken more by transfer and it's good to go ahead.
I've been taking progynova since cd1 and am currently on 4x/day.
Then the lubion and pessaries together from Thursday.
My first FET was a 3AA and this one is a 4AB.

@Twinmummy15 lining is great. It will thicken more by transfer anyway, but I'm sure that's already really good anyway.
I know, I think that's what it is! Because it's been almost 3 years with fertility appts, I've just gradually learned more things so am aware of certain things now my

Looks like all our procedures are different haha why am I taking progesterone for 7 days I have no idea ! I only start my injectables lubion after trasfer .
Right now I am on evorel estradiol patches
, estriadol tablets and progesterone pessaries , and after trasfer I will mix in the lubion injection . So many things to remember . I have to change patches every second day . I did down regulation maybe that’s why I’m on the patches .

I hope your lining catches up . ! I asked my nurse what my lining was and I asked her if it has to be over 8 mm and she said no it doesn’t , she said it just has to be like in a normal cycle . so don’t worry too much ! I was very happy with my own lining being Neally 9 mm and triple pattern too and maybe it will grow a little more by trasfer day . I heard somewhere that when you start your progesterone then the lining won’t thicken anymore and it will stay as it is now ?

And anyways over 7 is still considered good even if it stays that way ! 😍

Do you girls know what time is your trasfer ? My embryologist will call me at 9am on Tuesday and then I guess she will tell me when to come in ? I don’t have definite time yet ? Do you both do. ?

@ShareLove I'm sure your clinic are doing what they feel is right for you. We require protocols that are tailored to us, so I wouldn't worry about others.
I'm not concerned about the lining because they've said it looks good for this stage and will thicken prior to transfer. I feel confident with them and know that they wouldn't proceed with transfer if they felt otherwise.
No, they'll call on the day to say that they're thawing the embryo and they call again then to advise if it's survived the thaw and if so, a time to go in for the transfer (this was how it was last time anyway).

Hi girls so glad to hear some of you are moving forward abs have transfer dates booked! Fingers crossed for you all!

I have a question. I’m doing a long protocol fet. Started down regulating 1st November I have my baseline scan tommorow.

I had my period which was normal in length and flow on 9th November. It finished on Friday but I’ve now started bleeding again today.

It’s not spotting defo like a light period bleed…is this normal?

@lauradxoxo hey , I have ever heard of this situation as you’re having what are you using for down reg ? Are you still going for your scan tomorrow even if bleeding. ? Have you called your clinic and asked ? I’m interested to know why you started bleeding again xxx

@lauradxoxo , I’m not sure what your protocol looks like ? Are you sure you not ment to bleed again today ? Maybe it’s part of the protocol ?
I am doing FET too and I down regged , I had only one bleed like I was ment to have, I had zoladex injection which means it’s lasts for a month , I didn’t have to inject anything at all . I only have to wear estradiol patches to thicken lineing, can you tell me a bit more what your protocol looks like ? Xx

Day 14 here and had my scan today to check the lining. Looks good at just over 8mm I think but they saw a tiny amount of fluid in the cavity which means I have to go back in 2 days to see if it's cleared. Hoping so much it won't be cancelled because of this so a bit down tonight.
Don't know much about what the fluid means but I can ask more questions Friday if it isn't gone.

So much action on here this week with everyone progressing - sorry can't keep up, but nice reading how everyone's doing.

Thank you @FET2021 and @ShareLove I had my baseline scan today and all was good lining nice and thin so started progynova tablets today. Anyone experienced any side effects with these?

@lauradxoxo glad your scan was good.
Personally, other than feeling slightly more tired than usual and perhaps headaches (not sure if this is related entirely to the tablets), I've been fine. Hopefully you'll be ok with them xx

Awww that’s good! I feel like I’ve been really lucky throughout my ivf treatment so far and not noticed any side effects from any of the medications. Fingers crossed!

Not long now until your transfer I can’t wait to get to that point! Xxx

I know! I've been in for my Covid swabs today, so hopefully that'll be ok. Just looking forward to getting to Tuesday now!! Xxx

@lauradxoxo headaches and nausea on Progynova for me each time but I know not everyone gets that so hopefully you'll be fine.

Had another scan today and fluid is still there. But they've booked me for ET 24th nov and starting rest of drugs tomorrow and rescanning Monday in the hope that the eatrogen helps clear the remaining fluid so we can go ahead. Really don't want it cancelled 3 days out 😔

@Sunshine300 i am sorry that the fluid is still there. Do they have any idea where it came from? Keeping my fingers crossed that it will be gone before transfer day.

I had my transfer today. It was surreal. I didn't get a call this morning so we made our way to the clinic just thinking lack of news had to be good news and it was. They thawed our best frostie and it recovered really well. We're really pleased that we still have the other two safely stored.

We got to see our little embie on a monitor still in the embryology lab, then being pulled into the catheter and finally shooting out of it into my uterus. We got a couple of photos as a souvenir which made the experience even more special.
Now onto the tww.
