FET November/ December

Hi,

I'm not sure if there is already a thread open for a FET in November / December.

I was due to have a FET last week however after having two lining scans, I tested positive for coronavirus 🙄. I should now be having a FET after my next bleed (mid November) and hopefully a FET early December. Would be great to chat you others on a similar timeline. X

Morning all & happy Friday! Hope everyone is doing well this morning and finding the meds ok? So exciting to see some of you getting your transfer dates for the next few weeks 💕 must be very exciting!

We’re looking to start on my December cycle now, I was a bit eager thinking we could start this month but unfortunately my appointment to pick up my meds was a couple of days after my period started, which I found really hard to accept (as for the radio silence). So long as my next period starts on time beginning of December I should just get in before the Xmas closures, oh the fun & games! I don’t know about you ladies, but this process is certainly teaching me how to be patient, you’re always waiting for one thing or another!

Aww that's a shame. It's happened to me before now and it's horrible, especially when you've just missed it!
I hope your next cycle will be on time for you to have your transfer by the end of the year 🤞🏼

Hey all,

I had my day 10 scan and they need to re check lining on Tuesday (16th), as its not thick enough yet.
I'm a bit dissapointed, but they said it's normal and nothing to be concerned about. My lining has been fine for my fresh transfers so I am trying not be too worried about it.

If all ok on Tuesdays scan then they're looking at a potential ET for 23rd Nov.

@Twinmummy15 it is disappointing, but it's a good thing they're booking you in for another scan to allow it to thicken.
Fingers crossed it'll be ok on Tuesday 🤞🏼 exiting that the transfer day is getting closer xx

Yes that is true. Atleast they're not rushing it when it's not the ideal thickness.

When is your transfer? Do you have a date?

I have my scan on Tuesday also so hopefully lining will be ok to book transfer then 🤞🏼

@Agapanthus13 Sorry for the delay - I’ve had that happen too, it’s so frustrating when you just miss a date.

Nice to see some people getting dates. I had baseline today and all looks good so meds are started - if it runs like last time probably looking at a transfer at the start of Dec.

Hi everyone,

I had my last scan yesterday and everything was perfect. Nice thick trilaminar lining and an 18mm follicle. Anyone else feel it's a shame we can't harvest these as well and it's a waste of a perfectly good egg?

I had my trigger shot yesterday afternoon during the nurse appointment and the FET is booked for Friday. I'll get a call the day before to confirm the time.

We're very excited, it feels more real now that it's getting closer.

Any recommendations of what to avoid or do after the FET? We booked annual leave the week after and will probably go on a mini break, nothing too strenous, I think it will help pass the time. Must keep busy to avoid early testing.

It is a shame. It does seem a waste of one.
Ok the dos and don't, I just think anything within reason is fine. Try not to stress about that too much and just enjoy relaxing on whatever break you choose to go on! 🤞🏼🍀 good luck for Friday...very exciting! Xx

I had my first 5dt on 11th November following IVF/ICSI. I'm 3dp5dt and I've had cramping, backache and nausea (and really crazy dreams). I'm trying to hold out to test, and trying not to symptom check all the time🙈 (but it's so hard!). Is anyone else on the same cycle? I just wondered what symptoms people were having? What date they were planning on testing? And if I've had a 5dt, what date would my AF be due?

@Twinmummy15 I had the same situation as you... day 11 scan today showed lining needs a few more days so I'm back in Wednesday with embryo transfer expected for the 23rd.

Feeling pretty stressed now cause the 23rd was the 1 day that I didn't want to do transfer. Typical!! I have a big work commitment that date and will have to reschedule or ask a coworker to fill in. Neither option is ideal and I feel like I'll have it on my mind all day anyway which will only make me stress more about the transfer working! Anyone know if its possible to delay transfer by a day and would it have a negative impact?

I've started getting headaches all day from the fematab now too so my mood is seriously off! I'm so irritable and just totally fed up with fertility treatment! I've gotten stuck organising a friends birthday hamper too cause the rest of our gang didn't offer.. they don't know I'm doing a FET so I shouldn't be complaining really... also had to organise a gift for another friends newborn baby... think I'll loose my mind if I have to pick out another set of baby clothes! Anyway I suppose the point of this rant is I'm busier than I want to be and my head hurts. LOL! Hope the rest of you are doing far better!

@FET1stTimer apologies I can't answer any of your questions as this is my first fet too and I'm not as far along as you. Wishing you all the beat of luck though x

Hi @FET1stTimer I think your a bit ahead of us all. I get it must be really hard not to symptom spot but from what I read during my ivf cycle a lot can be caused by the progesterone. Some ladies had BFP without symptoms and others BFN without any, so it's really hard to tell. Keeping everything crossed it's a good sign for you, though 🤞
I've been on cyclogest for two days now and I am definitely more tired, sleepy and feeling by boobs a bit sore My transfer is booked for Friday so I am blaming the progesterone.
When is your OTD?

• i meant some had BFP without symptoms and some had BFN with all the symptoms. Let's add foggy brain to the list 🙄

@Bb30 oh really? Good to know that maybe it's common that lining isn't ready by day 10. I was getting really worried that my body isn't responding to the progynova.

Hey sorry about you FET being cancelled ! This is sooo frustrating !!! My last FET was cancelled because of Covid too so I know how you feel ! 3 months later and I’m back at it ! My first ever FET ! Fresh trasfer got cancelled because of OHSS , but now I am a week away from my trasfer for FET my trasfer is 23 rd of November !! Ask me anything you like xxx

OTD is 22nd Nov. I couldn't wait to test, so I did one today and it was negative but I'm only 5dp5dt so still holding hope. The cyclogest was pretty rough with me sore boobs and 24/7 nausea. When I then added in Lubion it balanced out the nausea, so it was then just sore boobs.

Hey girls can I ask you what medicine will you be taking after FET trasfer ? I am taking progesterone pessaries 6 days before FET transfer and then I will also add progesterone lubion injections into the mix after trasfer 😍 and I’m also on evorel patches and also on estriadol tablets ! 4 different things to take . Why is everyone else taking aspirin ? Can I take it without doctors approval ? Or should I ask doctor about it ? I have read good things about aspirin and I’d like to take it too ..

@FET1stTimer I'd second what everyone else has said...I just think it's different with everyone. Some have BFP with/without symptoms and others have BFN with/without symptoms.

My scan went well, lining is now looking good so I have been booked in for grnasfer on 22nd Nov. I wonder if you'll be the same as me?!
