FET November/ December

Hi,

I'm not sure if there is already a thread open for a FET in November / December.

I was due to have a FET last week however after having two lining scans, I tested positive for coronavirus 🙄. I should now be having a FET after my next bleed (mid November) and hopefully a FET early December. Would be great to chat you others on a similar timeline. X

Just catching up on posts (been a busy few days!) @FET2021 & @Lotusflower1990000 that’s great news for you both that you can start! How exciting, and you should get your transfers before Xmas too 💕 The whole process feels like one massive waiting game, so it’s love to hear some positive news for a change. Hope you’re both getting on ok with your meds x

@Novavee thank you! Yeah, I know! It's a pain really, but there we are! I'll have to have another between scan and transfer too!

Had swabs today and booked in for scan week after next so hopefully all looking ok at that appt so I can be booked in for transfer 🤞🏼

@FET2021 and @Lotusflower1990000 Congrats on starting! Getting over that first hurdle is a nice step!

@Twinmummy15 I’m going to have aspirin as well - did your clinic give any recommendations on when to take it? Are you on clexane as well, or staying on aspirin? Sorry for questions, just curious as it’s a new part for me.

@Novavee Sorry scan wasn’t awesome - the early ones often change a lot though I found.

Hi all glad I found this thread

We had egg collection and transfer in August resulting in BFN but got 2 day 6 embryos in the freezer so doing a fet this month.

Cycle day 1 28th October. Cycle day 2 started progynova 2mg 4xday. Had lining scan yesterday cycle day 9 lining was only at 6.4mm booked in for another scan next Wednesday cycle day 14 fingers crossed for a better lining.

Hey @lauradxoxo ❤️thank you so much I start down reg 25 November I’m excited but so scared at the same time as I thought we would be starting after Xmas now transfers just before the new year! so glad you have your transfer date too I hope we all have our Xmas miracles too! Xxxx

@Twinmummy15 oh no hope you are feeling better? Ooo ok this makes sense I actually wish my clinic would do a blood test on me as I hate pregnancy tests they just give me anxiety from all the negatives I’ve had xxx

@Novavee thank you so much so excited but nervous at the same time as next cycle will have to be private and we don’t have the money for it yet :( I’m sorry to hear your scan didn’t go as well as you hoped this can change so quickly as the drugs kick in so hoping by your next scan this has helped xxx

Hi @Dreaming121sorry to hear about your unsuccessful round it’s great you have 2 grade 6 embryos are you transferring both? the lining can change so quickly so hoping this thickens for you too xxx

@Lotusflower1990000 we are only transferring one had thought about using both.

It's nice to have others to talk about the process with as this time we have kept it quiet from family and friends that we have started again, I found it hard after the failed round having to tell everyone

@FET2021 @Faerun thanks! I had a 37 day cycle after my ivf but for some reason I convinced myself this cycle would be back to normal and a lovely predictable 28 days one. My body seems to have other ideas.

@FET2021 do you only get one scan and then straight to transfer?

@Dreaming121 welcome! I'm sorry about your BFN but it's great you have two frosties. Good luck with your FET.

@Lotusflower1990000 it it quite exciting and daunting at the same time isn't it? I'm like you as in I haven't had this transfer yet and I'm already thinking about the next cycle if this fails. Because I'm on a natural cycle I'm not having any medication at all to grow the follicle or help with the lining. I just have to trust my hormones to do their thing. We're very lucky that we have three frosties so if this transfer doesn't work we have 2 more tries before having to think about a new fresh cycle but I do think about the changes I would ask for if we get to that stage.
I just hope there are some positive changes by Tuesday, but if this doesn't work I might ask to try a medicated FET next time.

@Dreaming121 I’m exactly the same last time was so hard telling everyone who knew it had failed so I haven’t told anyone this time it’s less pressure for us it’s lovely to have this chat to speak to people going through the same thing it helps so much xx

@Novavee Completely it’s scary because having a plan for next stages makes me feel like I have something to look forward to if it fails. 3 Frosties are amazing I hope this is the one for you tho I don’t think my clinic even offer natural which is strange but I know it’s a lot kinder on the body I hope it changes for you too sending you positive vibes for Tuesday xxx

I’ve been waiting to ovulate and finally did yesterday. This means I’ll be starting my FET on CD 1 on 23 November. So not long at all now. I was so worried that I would have a long cycle and it would clash with the clinic closing over Christmas.

@XjustagirlX yay how exciting!! I’m starting 24th November with a transfer booked for the 30th December I think we are on very similar timelines do you have a date for your transfer? Xxx

@Lotusflower1990000 I’m starting on CD1 with my fet medication so transfer will be between 8 and 11 December. It’s looking like test day will be Christmas Day or just after.

@Novavee my cycles are always all over the place too. I was lucky with this one though as it was 28 days and normally I'm late!
It will depend on how my next scan is, but I guess that's the plan. Hopefully all will be ok at scan and they can book transfer, but if my lining isn't looking great, then I imagine they'll schedule another scan to check. Hopefully next one will be ok though 🤞🏼

Very happy with my scan today. One dominant follicle at 12mm and lining is now 6.7mm.

@FET2021 so far I've had 3 scans. Perhaps because I'm on a natural cycle and they don't want to miss the timing if ovulation happens naturally. I have another one booked for Friday. They initially thought about booking a scan for Thursday and then another for Friday or Saturday, but we've agreed I will check with OPKs and we can always reschedule the scan if necessary. The sonographer thinks I'll trigger on Friday and have ET a week later.

That is a lot! It's good though that they're making sure they're checking often not to miss ovulation. Hope Friday goes well. Exciting to know if could be next Friday! Good luck.

Hope you're all doing well with scans and drugs this week.

I have another scan on the 17th to check my lining again and transfer will likely be around 23rd so getting close!
Happy to have finished my last injection (cetrotide) for now. This morning I was injecting in the kitchen while my 18 month old was hanging on my leg and my nearly 3 year old shouting that I wasn't listening to his singing of old macdonald. 😂 slightly chaotic.

Really hope you're all doing ok with all the emotions that go along with this journey. Xxx

@Sunshine300 I'm on a similar timeline to you. Scan on the 15th and potential transfer date of 21st. So exciting! It must be tricky juggling the kids and treatment. Hope all goes well for you!

This is my first fet and I'm finding it all a bit sureal so far. I'm just on estrogen tablets morning and evening and I've had no side effects so I'm going about my life as normal. It's usually when I've just finished eating something unhealthy when my brain goes "your going to have an embryo in you soon, behave yourself!!!!" LOL!

Is there anything I should be doing or not doing to prepare for transfer?

@Sunshine300 it is coming close, although doesn't it still feel like you're waiting for the days to go for the actual day to hurry up and get here? 😂
I'm hoping my scan will be ok, as I too should be booked in for week commencing 22nd November. Hoping for that day 🤞🏼

@Bb30 think there's a few of us with dates quite close! Will be good for the support.
I've been ok on the tablets too. Headaches, but I tend to get those fairly often anyway. Nothing otherwise, which is great.

Haha, I'm the same. The odd treat and I feel guilty!
To be honest, I'm taking a more relaxed approach with this FET. I'm eating more healthy, exercising, drinking more water etc. But if I want something unhealthy, I'll have it.
I think just do what you feel is right. I know I've seen posts with people doing everything they could and it failing and there's others saying they were more relaxed and it worked and vice versa. Just do what you feel is right. Fingers crossed everything will go to plan for your FET on 21st! xx

Sorry I've not been updating much. Just taking the time to get better each day. Thanks @Lotusflower1990000 I'm feeling a lot better now. I just just hope it hasn't impacted my body too much.

I am having my Day 10 scan tomorrow to check the lining. Then they said they will book in transfer approx 5 to 6 days after, so I am roughly looking at the date of 18th/19th Nov for ET.
Not long at all, I'm freaking out. So nervous and excited at the same time.

I can't seem to be positive about it though as if it's going to definitely work. My hubby talks as if I'll be pregnant by the end of the month but I am finding it so hard to share his positivity.

After my scan tomorrow, I should be starting cyclogest pessary and lubion injections.

It's so nice having others having transfers around the same time. Fingers crossed for us all. Xx

@Faerun yes I am on Aspirin too. I take it in the morning at the same time as the first dose of Progynova.
Apparently Aspirin is a blood thinner so helps with blood clots.
I have had it in all my cycles. The first cycle fresh transfer resulted in my twins.
I had to take it until 12 weeks of pregnancy.

My second fresh cycle failed, and now I'm waiting for my first FET. All of which have had Aspirin.

For both fresh cycles I have had the endo scratch. No idea if it actually works, but for my first cycle it resulted in twins so clearly I though it was helpful. But second scratch the second cycle it didn't and we had a 5AA embryo then. Who knows 🤷‍♀️

It's great to see that are a few of us on a similar timeline. I predict some madness during the tww, so it will be really good to have someone to talk to that is going through the same experience at the same time.

@FET2021 Thanks! I am incredibly excited and nervous at the same time. I had a flashing smiley face on my opk this morning and will check again tomorrow. Depending on the result and the scan I will either do the trigger and we'll book the FET for 19th or we wait for natural ovulation and we do it a day or two earlier.

@Sunshine300 You must be so glad to be done with the injections! I don't miss cetrotide at all. So no other medication between now and your scan next week? I find it fascinating how everyone has such different protocols.

@Bb30 I completely get the feeling. I'm the same. Since I'm not on any medication it doesn't feel real somehow. I'm going about my day and suddently I realise this time next week I might be pupo. This is also my first fet, following a freeze-all cycle, so my first proper try at getting pregnant.

@Twinmummy15 Good luck for your scan tomorrow. We might be transfering the same day! I'm sorry you're not feeling very positive at the moment. I'm keeping everything crossed that you have a lovely surprise.

I struggle with being positive too. I of course try and stay as positive as possible, but I think it's just that it obviously isn't guaranteed.

Your protocol sounds similar to mine too. Once I have my scan, they'll be booking me in too (providing everything is ok...hopefully!). Then I'll start lubion and pessaries too. Literally cant wait until my scan on Tuesday just to see if everything's ok to book transfer! Wishing my life away! Xx
