Hi,

I'm not sure if there is already a thread open for a FET in November / December.

I was due to have a FET last week however after having two lining scans, I tested positive for coronavirus 🙄. I should now be having a FET after my next bleed (mid November) and hopefully a FET early December. Would be great to chat you others on a similar timeline. X

@Twinmummy15 awww that’s wonderful!!!! Such a lovely strong line. Really happy for you x

Twinmummy15 · 02/02/2022 19:33

@Agapanthus13 @lauradxoxo @ExhaustedPigeon1988 thank you ladies for all your support.
As you all know, anything can happen and it's early days and things can change so quickly (I'm praying it wont), but if anything I started doubting my clinic, my body, mine and my husbands genetics, however at the end of the day this time something just decided to work.

I know it's easy to say once you receive a positive result, but I truly want to say don't test early. It caused me so much dissapointment to the point I started to eat unhealthy and just not care as I thought it failed again.

Miracles really do happen and I'm sure your miracles will be ok their way too. 🙏

Lots of love to you all x

Hello ladies sorry I’ve been quiet since December after my failed FET but between getting myself back to feeling positive and ready to go again plus working all the hours I’ve just not had time.
I’m so sorry for those who have had the BFN and the ones who had BFP but unfortunately ended so soon 💔 hope you can all find a way to continue to be strong and not give up on this journey 💪🏻
Congratulations to those who have had BFP so happy for you, hope all will go well for you for the next 9months 😍
Well I had my treatment plan appointment yesterday and am going to be starting again for the third time end of February 🤞🏻 We are going to have 2 embryos in this time, so hopefully this will be our Third time lucky 🍀
Wishing you all the luck for those who have started and are starting again this month, sending lots of baby dust your way ✨ xxx

Sorry, so many typos! My phone isn't very good with predictive text!

Ivfjourney2 · 04/02/2022 17:16

@Twinmummy15 😂😂😂 it’s ok I knew what you were meant to type, I do it all the time 🙈
Amazing news with your bloods today, try and keep positive now and relax for the next few weeks ☺️
Thankyou for your good luck wishes, I’m feeling very hopeful this time round.. you said they decreased your progesterone well they’ve increased mine, for both of my failed cycles I felt that my progesterone levels were not high enough. First time I had 2 rectal Cyclogest pessaries which I hated 😫 second time then I asked for the injections, So I had 2 lubion a day which I got on great with but then my friend said that she was having 2 vaginal pessaries and 1 lubion (she did catch but unfortunately miscarried 😔) I queried this the day after my transfer but was advised 2 injections were enough so carried on with my treatment, unfortunately that failed but for the whole 2 weeks I still felt my levels were not high enough so now that I’m going again for my third time round I spoke to the dr and he is happy for me to have 2 lubion and 1 vaginal Cyclogest pessary. I know this time round I will feel more at ease and relaxed about the whole thing, and hopefully we will have our BFP 🙏🏻🤞🏻✨ xxx

Twinmummy15 · 04/02/2022 17:30

@Ivfjourney2 haha yes 🤣 blimmin' phone has a mind of its own.

Yes that is right they didn't necessarily decrease the progesterone they just started part of it a bit later.
So basically for the first 2 cycles which failed I was put on cyclogest 4xdaily and 1 x lubion in the evening. This started 5 days prior to embryo transfer. Both these times, I said I think it's too much progesterone and they said no its fine for my age.

My third cycle in the follow up they randomly said this time we will keep to the same dose, but only start the cyclogest 5 days prior to transfer and then add in the lubion on day of transfer onwards. I straight away picked this up and said is that because I could have possibly had too much progesterone in the failed cycles. They said yes and that too much progesterone can actually make you miss the "window of implantation". I'm pretty sure this was the problem as my first 2 embabies were 5AA and 4AB.
Apparently I did a bit of research and it says too much progesterone can start to shut down receptivity of the uterus and make your body think window of implantation has passed.

If your clinic do it, ask or demand for a progesterone blood test just to make sure you're on the right amount. To think implantation didn't happen due to too much progesterone is very annoying 🙄 2 wasted attempts and also 2 lots of extra payments for potentionally unnecessary cycles. However we can never be sure and as always clinics just say the embryo just wasn't right. I guess we will never know.

Thank you for your well wishes, I'm trying to now stay positive and enjoy it and not Google every little thing.

Keep us posted on your journey. Xx

Ivfjourney2 · 04/02/2022 19:04

Oh my, that does sound like a lot all at once… obviously altering it for you was the right thing to do as you’ve had your BFP 😍 shame they didn’t do this with the top quality embabies 😔 I’m still with the NHS so doubt they will do the progesterone blood test, there’s only so much they do compared to private.
Will keep you posted throughout, same with you 😘 xxxx

ShareLove · 10/02/2022 12:06

Hey girls ! Hope you all doing well ! I haven’t been on here for ages after my failed cycle as I felt really down and fed up . Anyone else downtegging for FET ? I have my trasfer in 4 weeks ! 😅

Agapanthus13 · 10/02/2022 15:00

Morning all. We’re probably going to start a new cycle at the beginning of March with egg collection around the 20th so I’ll be a bit behind you @ShareLove.

We had consultations with 3 different clinics, all who had slightly different approaches which has taken some time. And decided to push back another month to have a proper holiday & get a puppy 🐶 hoping will be better prepared mentally when we get home.

Hope everyone else is getting on ok with their journey?

Ivfjourney2 · 10/02/2022 22:05

@ShareLove i will be starting my medication for my second FET on the 25th/26th of this month so won’t be far behind you at all. When do you start your meds?? Xxx

ShareLove · 12/02/2022 09:14

@Ivfjourney2 hey I’m glad your starting again soon 🙂 I am already on estrogen patches for 3 weeks and then I’ll have my trasfer on week 4 , so my trasfer will be in 3weeks and 4 days from now or so xxx good luck to you and me too 😁🥰

ExhaustedPigeon1988 · 14/02/2022 07:49

Hey ladies, good to hear updates from you all, and wishing you all the very best on your new cycles. My transfer is booked for 24th feb, can't believe it's here so soon! Been on meds since 24th January. Looking forward to it all being done soon :) x

tulipsandsnow · 14/02/2022 19:47

@ExhaustedPigeon1988 good luck! i'm transferring feb 19th x

ExhaustedPigeon1988 · 14/02/2022 20:11

Amazing @tulipsandsnow scary how quickly we are on another round isn't it? Do you know when you will test? I got a positive on day 5 last time, so think that's what I will do this time too x

tulipsandsnow · 14/02/2022 20:30

haha actually funny you say that as since my chemical in late November I feel like time has drug out/it has felt like its been a year rather than not even three months for me! I did a mock cycle in December (to try to figure out how much progesterone I could tolerate), an egg collection in Jan, and FET now in Feb and its all just been....horrible!

I will test the same way I did last time- starting on morning of day 4 and then again that late afternoon/early evening, and so on and so forth! Last time got a true negative morning of day 4 but the FAINTEST of squinters late afternoon.

For me, it's important to catch a chemical, so I'd never not test early! Fingers crossed for both of us! xx

ExhaustedPigeon1988 · 14/02/2022 20:53

Wow @tulipsandsnow you have been through so much! It feels like it's been forever for me too.... but I mean when you think this time 2 months ago I was still pregnant.... that doesn't seem very long ago- do you know what I mean? X

ExhaustedPigeon1988 · 14/02/2022 22:21

@tulipsandsnow out of interest what level progesterone will you be on? I will be on 3x 400mg cyclogest x

tulipsandsnow · 14/02/2022 23:37

@ExhaustedPigeon1988 I'm a really bad person to ask that as I'm a rubbish datapoint for P since I have severe reaction to it. My first FET I wasn't on any at all because of this, then mock cycle we determined I could tolerate 200mg decently but no more than 200mg once a day without severe migraines (too severe to tolerate/can't keep down water or food etc, and you can't take migraine medication after transfer). So that's the dose I'll be on! My clinic would usually prescribe 3 x 400mg a day to most patients x

ExhaustedPigeon1988 · 15/02/2022 07:04

Oh no, that's awful! Atleast you can manage alittle, hopefully this will make a big difference for you :) x
