Hi,

I'm not sure if there is already a thread open for a FET in November / December.

I was due to have a FET last week however after having two lining scans, I tested positive for coronavirus 🙄. I should now be having a FET after my next bleed (mid November) and hopefully a FET early December. Would be great to chat you others on a similar timeline. X

@ExhaustedPigeon1988 I’m really so sorry reading your post. Thinking of you 💕

Ivfjourney2 · 20/12/2021 18:52

@ExhaustedPigeon1988 hope you’ll be ok, stay strong. A friend of mine is going through the same. I feel so much heart break for them 💔 Xxx

ExhaustedPigeon1988 · 20/12/2021 21:44

Thanks ladies for your thoughts, I will be grateful for the next few weeks to be over tbh. Sending loads of love and positive thoughts to you all, lots of love x

XjustagirlX · 21/12/2021 14:59

Well my fet was cancelled due to thin lining and I had a follow up call with the consultant who actually told me I could start on my next period instead of waiting until end of January.

However because of the Christmas closures I was going to miss the cycle anyway.

But I requested noristerine (sp?) to delay my period by a week. So I will stop taking that on Boxing Day and then when my period arrives a few days later I can start a new cycle.

The estrogen tablets E2 that I was on get converted into E1. For the new cycle I am using patches which give me E1 directly. Maybe my body can’t convert E2 to E1. I know that I can’t convert folic acid so I take methyl folate instead.

How is everyone? I just found this thread I love hearing everyone's stories and love the support! I'm 8 weeks 3 days pregnant with twins from a double FET
I currently have covid so i am isolating in the bedroom away from my family, I'm on the 3rd day of isolation and would love for some updates from you lot to keep me busy
Absolutely stressed about covid causing problems with this pregnancy I'm 8+3 and terrified, we've already been through so much in 8 weeks and now this! Was meant to have a private scan today as wanted to check all was still OK since an emergency scan at 6 weeks, I'm petrified of vanishing twin syndrome or missed miscarriage 😭 but we will just have to wait till im free again lol
Xx

Alexm06 · 22/12/2021 06:06

Well looks like that's another chemical under my belt. Did a digital this morning still saying 1-2 and my FRER is lighter then when I did it 8dp5dt so yeah 100% I'm out. Good luck to you all guys! Hope you all have better outcomes x

Agapanthus13 · 22/12/2021 06:41

@Alexm06 really sorry to hear your your line is lighter this morning. Did you get your blood test results back yet from Monday? I thought you were getting more done today? Im really hoping for you it’s just a blip in your home tests this am 🤞🏻 and you get some better news on your bloods x

Agapanthus13 · 22/12/2021 06:49

That’s great news @XjustagirlX Thanks for letting us know, certainly worth asking them about pushing your AF back. I’ve been using patches (as well as pills) and found my lining shot up with the patches so 🤞🏻 they do the job for you too. Hope you can relax and enjoy Xmas before starting again with the meds Boxing Day x

@Infertilitywarrior congrats on your pregnancy x

Alexm06 · 22/12/2021 07:44

@Agapanthus13 nope no results yet. I was but they cancelled as they said the couldn't get the results to me Till the 4th. But yeah I'll call them and see what they say

XjustagirlX · 22/12/2021 08:16

@Agapanthus13 thanks for your positive patches story. Did you have a thin lining before you used patches? What were your measurements? I’m really hoping mine shoots up with patches.

Do you know where I put the patches? It just says not on the breast.

lauradxoxo · 22/12/2021 08:45

@Infertilitywarrior congratulations on your pregnancy!! So sorry to hear you have covid hope your symptoms aren’t too bad?

@Agapanthus13 do you have your transfer today?

@Alexm06 aww I’m so sorry to hear this. Do you really think your out though? How many dpt are you? It’s my official test date today and I done a clear blue digital and I also got 1-2 weeks. When should it show as 2-3?

Do you have a picture of todays test?

@Ivfjourney2 good luck testing today! Will be keeping everything crossed for good news!! Xxxxxx

Alexm06 · 22/12/2021 09:58

@lauradxoxo yeah I do my tests weren't getting darker just staying the same then this mornings. I'll add a photo

FET November/ December
lauradxoxo · 22/12/2021 10:22

@Alexm06 my tests haven’t gotten any darker either. They are pretty strong lines almost as dark as the control line but they haven’t got lighter so I’m not really worrying. I’ve heard a lot of people say they don’t ever get as dark and they have still had healthy pregnancies. Was this morning fmu? Do you think your wee could just have been a bit more dilute? As your previous lines are super strong!!

Such a such you can’t get your bloods back and then you would know! What’s hcg meant to be at this stage? I have no clue xxxx

Alexm06 · 22/12/2021 10:54

@lauradxoxo yeah first one. My clinic called back and I told them and they have told me to come of my meds now. So yeah I guess that's what they think too.

lauradxoxo · 22/12/2021 11:01

@Alexm06 I’m really surprised they told you to come off your meds when you are still getting positive tests and before they have given blood results.

Did they say your digital should have progressed to 2-3 weeks?

I’m worrying now as im 12dp5dt and mines is showing 1-2 weeks should it be 2-3? Does anyone know?

Agapanthus13 · 22/12/2021 13:17

@Alexm06 I’m really surprised they’ve said to stop the meds. What date was your otd? Hope you’re doing ok x

@XjustagirlX I added the patches in on cd13 on top of the pills. I think it was more to ensure I made it to transfer day before the Xmas closure. Cd13 I was 6.7mm cd16 I was 8.1mm

Thanks for asking @lauradxoxo I’ve just had my transfer and some lunch. Unfortunately only 1of the two embies survived the thaw. But still feeling very lucky to have had the other transferee 💕

Can I ask, I kept worrying that it came out almost immediately after- has anyone else had this worry? My husband keeps telling me it’s still in there. So I’m trying to change my mindset. Is this a common worry?

lauradxoxo · 22/12/2021 13:27

@Agapanthus13 awww congratulations on your transfer!! I’m sorry to hear you lost one in thaw but remember it only takes one!! Wishing you the quickest 2WW!

And yes I used to always worry about the embryo falling out lol but I was told it absolutely cannot happen haha.

@Lilipa how are you getting on? Have you tested again on another digital and got 2-3 weeks? I’m now worrying that mines only said 1-2 today 🥲 xxxx

tulipsandsnow · 22/12/2021 14:15

@Alexm06 I'm so sorry to hear this, my heart goes out to you, just had a chemical myself a few weeks ago and it is the actual worst.

For those saying surprised about coming off meds, sadly I am not surprised they sad to come off meds, my clinic said FRER can't really go from daily distinctive line to much lighter and it still be viable. It's one thing if its quite subtle line variation, can be accounted for dilution variation, but from quite dark to barely there, is never going to be a good outcome as I understand it :/

lauradxoxo · 22/12/2021 14:30

@tulipsandsnow thanks for the information it really is so tough Isn’t it. I hope your doing ok after your chemical do you have plans to start another round in the new year?

It’s my OTD today and I’m getting pretty strong lines but not quite as strong as the control line and they aren’t getting darker so I’m worrying a little. My clinic don’t do bloods abs it’s a long wait to 8 week scan 😭
would I start to bleed while still on meds or have cramping if I was having a chemical? As I’m not going to test anymore as it can send you crazy!! Xxxx

tulipsandsnow · 22/12/2021 15:06

@lauradxoxo hoping to start another freeze-all collection cycle around Dec 31st/Jan 1st...if my period comes before December 31st, I have to wait an entire another cycle, because my clinic wont open for scans until January 4th and can't stim more than a few days before first scan, too risky to not know when the right typing will be to start the antagonist :/

I'm really hoping period can hold out, usually it'd come a few days earlier than that but I took the 2nd Covid jab a couple weeks ago which can delay periods slightly, my ovulation did come a bit late, it's going to come down to the wire! If I just miss this cycle I'll then just do the next one for sure, but I am desperate to get out more embryos before something else in life can go wrong and at least know more embryos of mine exist in freezer.

I'm sure you will be fine, the wait must be killer! I don't think lines staying the same darkness is a massive issue, its just getting a lot lighter that's bad. Hang in there! xx

tulipsandsnow · 22/12/2021 15:10

@Agapanthus13 someone said think of it like a sesame seed stuck in a peanut butter jar and I found that helpful! It's so lightweight and in sticky territory, it can't really come out xx

Infertilitywarrior · 22/12/2021 15:37

@lauradxoxo I don't feel too bad initially had terrible body aches but now I'm just exhausted but who knows if thats covid or just being pregnant.
I got 2-3 weeks on a digital 13dp5dt but I hadn't done one before that so unsure if I'd have got it sooner
Xx

Infertilitywarrior · 22/12/2021 15:39

@Alexm06 so sorry 😞

lauradxoxo · 22/12/2021 16:26

@tulipsandsnow aww yes you will be when my last cycle failed I couldn’t wait for my period arrived just so I could get moving again! Wishing you all the best the best round! And thank you I’m staying positive but ivf has really taught me nothing is a given …it’s not as simple as getting pregnant it’s staying pregnant!

@Infertilitywarrior awww I’ve had covid before and the body aches are the absolute worst! I hope you feel better soon! Is it twins your having? I’m trying not to worry about it read so many stories about inaccuracies of the digital tests with regards to the weeks so I’m actually not going to test again to this time next week and hopefully by then it’s moved on to 2-3 xxxxxx

Agapanthus13 · 22/12/2021 16:34

Thanks @tulipsandsnow I’ve been Googling all the way home and read something similar on line- both of which def helped. All the best for your next cycle next month.

@lauradxoxo thanks lovely. All ready finding myself planning for ‘if it doesn’t work’ but I think that’s just my coping method. Hope you’re doing ok. I think the break will do you good if you can avoid testing regularly, though so much easier said than done I’m sure. I have a really good feeling for you, really hope you can enjoy your positive test and relax over the Xmas break x
