Hi,

I'm not sure if there is already a thread open for a FET in November / December.

I was due to have a FET last week however after having two lining scans, I tested positive for coronavirus 🙄. I should now be having a FET after my next bleed (mid November) and hopefully a FET early December. Would be great to chat you others on a similar timeline. X

how did you get on @Alexm06!?

Alexm06 · 08/12/2021 14:33

@coffee1988 just sitting in the waiting room at the moment. They didn't call so I guess everything is good with the embryo so yeah just waiting to go in on my own as my partner had to work. First transfer he won't be there for which is sad.

coffee1988 · 08/12/2021 14:35

@hls1984 - 5 and 6 days past is so early. A friend of mine just went through IVF and tested on day 10 as her first test. She sent me a pic yesterday of her tests' progression and it was the faintest possible line for her first one. So don't loose hope! Your symptoms sound really positive

CharlieBalf · 09/12/2021 09:32

@alexm06 how did you get on? Hope ot all went through ok
@hls1984 your symptoms spind positive but dont let that be a guide- i didn't have any symptoms at all for 9 months and had a healthy boy ☺️ 6 and 7 is very early.... Theres a reason they ask you to wait for 12 days, lock the tests away!

So i have my lining scan today, really hoping for a good result as my clinic is nearly two hours away and i don't want to have to arrange to be off work etc for another day. 😬

I have six 2BBs in the freezer, hoping to transfer one in December so fingers crossed. My successful transfer was with a 2AB so im hopeful.

Hows everyone else doing today?

ExhaustedPigeon1988 · 09/12/2021 13:40

Hey everyone, could really do with some help (will catch up with the thread later today when I have alittle more time- sorry ladies)

So Bourn won't give me progynova as there is a national shortage, they have given me solo, which they claim is the same but a different brand. I'm having major anxiety over this, as last cycle failed on solo and this cycle on progynova has worked. I know that's probably nothing, but n my head I really don't want to change.... if anyone has any spare from old cycles I would be so very grateful, happy to pay postage and toward meds too....

Please help a girl out 🥰

CharlieBalf · 09/12/2021 14:37

@ExhaustedPigeon1988 I'm so sorry but ive not been on that medication. I understand tlnot wanting to use the prescribed meds- its not an ideal situation. Is there a third option?

Had my first lining scan today; 7mm so they're doubled my dose and i go back next Tuesday. Im hopeful ot will have thickened enough by then and of so o transfer on the 21st! Dreading the tww ovwr Christmas but at least ill be able to put my feet up a bit ☺️

ExhaustedPigeon1988 · 09/12/2021 14:45

@CharlieBalf no third option, have tried getting it elsewhere but without a prescription and Bourn's help( 😂) then I can't get it :(

Hope then next week goes well for you and you get to transfer soon :) tww is hard, I don't know if over Xmas is easier or harder tbh x

lauradxoxo · 09/12/2021 15:30

@CharlieBalf nearly there with your lining! Hopefully you will be good to go by Tuesday!

@Alexm06 how did you get on?

@ExhaustedPigeon1988 in the same my clinic said there’s a national shortage so they have ran out of progynova so I’ve had to switch to another brand mid cycle. I’m not stressing about it they said it is the exact same drug but just a different brand. Basically like using Asda paracemetol instead of Tesco lol so I wouldn’t worry to much! Plus you’ve had your BFP so I’m sure all will be fine try not to worry 😄 xxxxx

ExhaustedPigeon1988 · 09/12/2021 15:36

@lauradxoxo thanks- that's exactly what they have said, about the shortage, I do appreciate what they are saying, but these are what's keeping the pregnancy going until my body can produce enough itself, you are right I'm sure all will be ok, it's just so early that such a change is worrying x

coffee1988 · 09/12/2021 17:22

@ExhaustedPigeon1988 and @lauradxoxo same with me. They tried to switch me 2 days before my transfer when I ran out of progynova but amazingly boots were somehow miraculously able to get hold of some for me in a lower dose (1mg rather than 2mg). The clinic did however say it was the same stuff but different brand so hopefully it’s not the end of world if I have to switch when I run out again in a couple of weeks. So not ideal though I feel your pain!

coffee1988 · 09/12/2021 17:27

How’s everyone getting on? I had my transfer today which went well and two round of acupuncture so feel like a pin cushion. Hilarious doctor had us in stitches, was actually surprisingly fun and exciting. Although it’s only my first one so expect it won’t feel so fun a second time. Now into the dreaded tww. Feeling pretty calm at the mo and they’ve booked a blood test for me a week tomorrow so actually not too long to wait. I doubt I’ll test before, too terrifying.

coffee1988 · 09/12/2021 17:30

@Alexm06 how did it all go? I’m so sorry you had to go through it alone. I wasn’t sure if my DH would be able to join me but luckily covid travel restrictions meant he could be. Strange silver lining.

CharlieBalf · 09/12/2021 17:37

@coffee1988 congratulations on your transfer! Lucky you don't have too long to wait, won't get tempted to test too soon that way!

The dr ipped my dose of estrogen to 12mg and im fully wiped out- my entire body aches. Amyone had this? Will be I get used to it?

ExhaustedPigeon1988 · 09/12/2021 17:42

@coffee1988 ahhh atleast you got some- how did you manage to get them from boots didn't put need a prescription? X

Alexm06 · 09/12/2021 17:52

@CharlieBalf @lauradxoxo yeah all went alright apart from making me wait an hour from when I got there! I had to go let some
Wee out twice Hahaa. But yeah all good I think he struggled with the catheter a bit but it went in eventually. Said it thawed beautifully and had hatched so was an excellent embryo.
@coffee1988 how did it go? Oh that's good he could come in with you. Im so glad to be done with acupuncture I really didn't find it relaxing and some needles really hurt on my lower back. I would defo do it again though if I have to haha.
Oh wow that's soo soon my clinic don't do blood tests just have to do a at home test on the 19th.

coffee1988 · 09/12/2021 17:53

@ExhaustedPigeon1988 the clinic gave me a prescription for estradiol which I gather is a different type. I explained the situation to the lady in boots and after some faffing around and tapping on her comp she agreed to order me progynova 1mg, which was the only one she could get hold of. There was a lot of fuss however and at one point she said I’d have to get a fresh prescription note but then she changed her mind thankfully 😬

ExhaustedPigeon1988 · 09/12/2021 17:56

Ahhh my clinic are being dicks and won't prescribe anything as I already have been given the solo tablets :( x

coffee1988 · 09/12/2021 18:00

@Alexm06 agreed on the acupuncture, not nice, the ones in my wrists and ears hurt like hell today! Not entirely convinced but rolling with it. Transfer was fine and feel totally normal now which is so strange given everything. I’ve found myself wondering if there’s actually anything in there. Hard to imagine 😂. He also did say only 50% of embryos are chromosonally normal which is a worrying prospect. Basically just flipping a coin. I’m tempted to do genetic testing if this one doesn’t work as it’s a lot to go through without knowing if you’re even transferring a euploid.

coffee1988 · 09/12/2021 18:02

@ExhaustedPigeon1988 that’s so damn annoying but try not to worry. My clinic assumed I’d get a different type and they said it was absolutely fine if I did. Its just synthetic estrogen and they all do the same thing so I’m sure it will be ok

lauradxoxo · 09/12/2021 18:06

@coffee1988 congratulations on your transfer! And only a week to test that’s so good!! Will keep everything crossed for you!

@Alexm06 aww I’m so glad your transfer went well and that you have a beautiful Embie on Board! Hopefully all being well I will join you girls tommorow! I’m just praying my embroyo survives the thaw and comes out a good grade!! Xxxxx

Prayingforabubba · 09/12/2021 19:16

Hi ladies!

I was on the thread at the beginning and then ended up having to wait such a long time for my period and to get started, I ended up deciding not to post.

I've finally had my ET today. It was a day 3 embryo cultured to day 5. Unfortunately it's graded poor at 3BC. I'm so upset- I have a 4 BA frozen and wish I had transferred that one first. Those who have gotten BFPs? Did any of you have any poorer grades embryos transferred?

I can see lots of you have transferred recently so will be following on more now! Fingers crossed we all get our BFPS! Xx

@coffee1988 @Alexm06 glad to hear you’ve both had your transfers - congrats on getting past that hurdle!

@ExhaustedPigeon1988 I’ve been switched to solo as well, I order from stork so I know they definitely only have that.

I’ve had a decent 2ww until tonight, 7dp5dt and had some spotting and a small (we’re talking mm) clot, so now I’m quite down in the dumps. I shouldn’t be as on my negative cycle I spotted at 8dp5dt and on my positive at 6dp5dt, so I know minor spotting doesn’t give you any hint, but I’m still feeling quite defeated and nervous. If this doesn’t work that’s it for us and I’m very scared of finding that out.

lauradxoxo · 09/12/2021 20:15

@Prayingforabubba welcome back after a little break! Great to hear you have had your transfer today congrats!! I honestly wouldn’t get too caught up with the grading I have seen loads of posters on here have BFP with lower grades and bfn with top quality embryos. Mine was a 5AA last cycle and failed 😭 just try and stay positive! Wishing you all the best!

@hls1984 how did you get on it’s your OTD isn’t it?

@Faerun I’m sorry to hear you have had some spotting but your right it could still mean a positive so try not to worry. Easier said than done I know! If your 7dpt would you consider testing? I don’t think I will be able to wait any longer than that!! Xxxxx

Faerun · 09/12/2021 20:34

@lauradxoxo I’ve been tempted to test but I’ve decided not to - I’d rather not know about a chemical, so I figure if I stick it out til OTD which is 12dp chances are less of that. I’ve always stuck it out before so I know I can.

Alexm06 · 10/12/2021 05:38

@coffee1988 yeah I don't feel much I have a few twinges here and there but I swear I've been more crampy on previous rounds. Not that they have worked haha. Yeah we spoke about the testing but I just don't think we can afford it. Think we're are going to go with access fertility as the clinic we want to go to next does it. Also there aren't any clinics that do it near me unless we go to London.

@Prayingforabubba good luck! You never know how an embryo will do. I've currently put the worst one in out of my bunch as it was the only one left and the others didn't work either so yeah I'm just trying to remain positive.
