Hi,

I'm not sure if there is already a thread open for a FET in November / December.

I was due to have a FET last week however after having two lining scans, I tested positive for coronavirus 🙄. I should now be having a FET after my next bleed (mid November) and hopefully a FET early December. Would be great to chat you others on a similar timeline. X

@Bb30 hey , no I haven’t told anyone about my fertility issues x only I and my partner know . All my family know I lost the first pregnancy as I was very stupid to belive nothing will go wrong as it was first time ever . But they don’t know anything else . When they ask I simply say I’ll have a baby when time is right .
If I didn’t have any family I don’t think I’d feel under pressure one bit .
It’s shit .
And I am not planning to go abroad anytime soon with the Covid restrictions so it’s a big no and also if I went private I’d go somewhere local in the country . Even if it’s London 6 hours away .
But right now I’m just hoping that it is egg quality and when I get pregnant with IVF and lose it again then I will defanetly will be questioning them as by then it’s 6 losses .

@ShareLove hope you're doing OK. It's a lonely place to be in, especially when you think your clinic is not doing the right tests.

Hopefully you can get some answers soon! Don't give up.
You're 7dp5dt right? How many days past do they tell you to test? Is it at 11dp5dt? Mine is 11 days. I wonder why it is that... perhaps your negatives are false and its just not showing up yet. I heard with FET it can take longer. No idea why though.

@tulipsandsnow how are you doing hun?

@FET2021 have you tested yet?

ShareLove · 01/12/2021 16:42

@Twinmummy15 my test date is 8 December in one week xx

ShareLove · 01/12/2021 16:43

@Twinmummy15 mine was 14 days past trasfer.

Maybe because my embryo wasn’t quite an embryo yet ? One was a morula

ExhaustedPigeon1988 · 01/12/2021 17:57

Hey everyone, I'm back (I know it's only been a couple of days), been really hard not to keep picking up my phone, as have really wanted to Google every little thing. Hope each and everyone of you are doing as well as possible, whether it's the devastating negatives, exciting yet scary positives, or even the dreaded 2 week wait... sending you all ❤️

Transfer was 2.30 Monday, I plan on testing Sunday, although OTD is actually 9th lol. Have had period pains since the transfer, assumed it was from the procedure, but surely they would have stopped by now? It's nothing major, just feels like a mild dragging sensation, and crampy. Any ideas ladies, or is this a simple case of symptom spotting? Lol x

Twinmummy15 · 01/12/2021 20:25

@ShareLove yes that could be why it's at 14 days. You're still so early in your 2ww so maybe it will change for you.

I'm getting more and more anxious for Friday now. I'm feeling so sad already and have imagined the phone call from the nurse with a negative beta. I wish I had some sign to say everything is OK and look forward to beta day.

ShareLove · 01/12/2021 20:33

@Twinmummy15 thanks xxx
They only way you can avoid massive disappointment is to take a pregnancy test sooner Wink I could never wait till my official test day , if it’s negative then I would like to know early so I am not shocked on beta day Smile

ShareLove · 01/12/2021 20:34

@Twinmummy15 can’t wait to know your result I wish you did test now and show me Grin

Twinmummy15 · 01/12/2021 20:38

@ShareLove lol! You're so funny! I really wish I had the guts to test. I just don't want it to be officialy over Sad

ShareLove · 01/12/2021 20:53

@Twinmummy15 I hope it is positive for you lovely 😍 what a lovely surprise before Christmas for you that would be !!! 😍

XjustagirlX · 02/12/2021 07:30

@ShareLove I was in a similar position to you and a similar age. I’ve had 3 early miscarriages. I actually paid privately for recurrent miscarriage tests as COVID held up the nhs ones. They found I was gluten intolerant which is linked to miscarriages and that I don’t process folic acid. I have cut out gluten and now take high dose methyl folate instead.

Once the nhs was back on track I had the same tests done with the nhs. They found nothing wrong! I was gobsmacked. They just told me to keep trying and offered no help.

I also paid £500 for the nk cells test which found I have high nk cells. We also paid for a sperm dna test for my DH which found issues. The nhs said he was normal. The nhs are useless in my opinion.

Could you pay for some of these private tests?

ShareLove · 02/12/2021 08:58

@XjustagirlX thank you !!! Where did you get your tests done lovely ! ? Xx nk cells test ? Xx

XjustagirlX · 02/12/2021 09:14

@ShareLove the nk cells were done in Coventry by prof jan Brosnens it’s part of the uni Warwick Coventry hospital. I originally emailed Siobhan Quenbys team. This meant I could get prednosoline. My ivf clinic wouldn’t give it to me but at least I have it after the nk cells testing the clinic are happy with me using it with my fet next week but I wouldn’t prescribe it!

The sperm test was the comet test so that just needs a fertility clinic to order for you. I dont think you can do it on your own. Again having that test meant we could request icsi when we did ivf. Without that test I would have wasted my first round with ivf when we do have a sperm problem.

My recurrent miscarriage tests were done at manchester fertility but lots of private places will do them. You just ask for their recurrent miscarriage tests.

XjustagirlX · 02/12/2021 09:16

@ShareLove
Correction
My ivf clinic wouldn’t prescribe prednisolone but are happy for me to use it with the nk cells prescription.

Alexm06 · 02/12/2021 17:48

Hey! Sorry I posted a few times last week but because I'm having FET not a lot was going on. But had my scan today and from last time having to wait till CD31 to transfer I am shocked and my lining is at 8.5! So booked in for transfer next Wednesday. It's my last embryo so hopefully will survive defrost. How is everyone else doing? I know there was a few of you in the TWW how your guys holding up?

coffee1988 · 02/12/2021 18:14

Hey @Alexm06 congrats! That’s such great news. I have another scan tomorrow to check on my lining which so far hasn’t been great. Day 8 it was 5.8, day 15 it was 6.4. Tomorrow is day 19 and they’ve upped me to 10mg progynova so hoping and praying there’s some change 🤞🤞🤞 getting really nervous now. But all being well and my lining has responded I could be on a similar transfer date as you

Faerun · 02/12/2021 18:36

@Alexm06 Good luck for transfer! We only had one embryo too, certainly adds a bit of extra nerves I thought!

@coffee1988 Fingers crossed for your scan tomorrow!

We had transfer day today, and thankfully our one 6 day blast survived the thaw really well, so now officially in the 2ww.
I’m having to change progesterone as the cyclogest is still causing horrid cramps, and starting clexane tonight, but other than that, time to relax. We followed the old ivf superstition of having McDonalds fries as well as we did last time and it worked.

Alexm06 · 02/12/2021 19:06

@coffee1988 that sounds like what mine was doing on my last FET it's soo frustrating! Hopefully tomorrow it will be ready! Would be good to have a transfer buddy!

@Faerun god it really does my transfers in the afternoon so I'll be worrying all day waiting for the phone call. Congrats on being in the TWW hopefully won't drag too much

ExhaustedPigeon1988 · 03/12/2021 08:25

Omg worst migraine ever last night. Was in tears as just didn't know what to do with myself! Anyone else experienced this, I have even woken this morning with a headache, been in bed since 8pm! So I'm 4dp6dt, tested yesterday and today- stubbornly negative. I know it's crazy early, especially as my transfer wasn't until 3pm Monday too- but just couldn't help. Will continue to test until Thursday (OTD), What day did you guys get positives? X

coffee1988 · 03/12/2021 13:05

scan over and FINALLY have a good thickness!! CD19. So relieved. I was convinced it wouldn't have budged and had a sleepless night over it after reading horror stories online. Made it to 8.6mm with the right 3 layers so I think I'm all good to go. Waiting for a call from the lab to book in our transfer next week. PHEW. Now to worry about the next phase.

@ExhaustedPigeon1988 poor you this sounds dreadful! I've not heard anything about migraines but could it be the progesterone playing havoc?

coffee1988 · 03/12/2021 13:06

@Alexm06 looks like we might be cycle buddies after all! My guess is that they'll book me in for Thursday or Friday next week so not far behind you

Hi All
Had my blood test result and it's been unsuccessful. Not really coping very well.
Literally want to skip Christmas! 😭

XjustagirlX · 03/12/2021 15:46

I’ve just had my first scan on CD11. My lining was only 5.6mm. I’m not shocked though as I know I have a thin lining but it doesn’t stop me panicking. I’m booked in for CD15 to check on the lining again. I’m on 12mg oestrogen so I’m really hoping it gets thicker.

ExhaustedPigeon1988 · 03/12/2021 15:48

@Twinmummy15 I'm so sorry to hear that :( I am feeling the same and I'm only 4dpt. Had a bloody emotional day all day, you just need to cry and let it all out, and you know what if skipping Xmas helps- do it. I have told everyone we are, planned that as soon as I knew dates were so close to Xmas. X
