FET November/ December

Hi,

I'm not sure if there is already a thread open for a FET in November / December.

I was due to have a FET last week however after having two lining scans, I tested positive for coronavirus 🙄. I should now be having a FET after my next bleed (mid November) and hopefully a FET early December. Would be great to chat you others on a similar timeline. X

Hi all, I'm afraid its a chemical for me. Strong line yesterday FMU 7dpt and extremely light line today FMU 8dpt. Test from same FRER box pack as yesterday.

Even though I knew it was only about a 10-15% chance for a euploid to result in a chemical, I also somehow knew it was going to happen on some level- had no specific reason other than I just felt from the FET itself it wasn't going to work. I got my hopes up for a few days. Zero regrets early testing as if I hadn't, I'd never have known implanted and its useful information clinically. But I can't put words to the pain- feel like want to actually die.

@tulipsandsnow omg I hope it is not chemical ? Are you 100% sure ? Maybe it’s a faulty test in the same pack ! ? How can it go from dark to very light in one day ? I though it takes times for it to go back light ?

So sorry to hear this @tulipsandsnow. I know how devastating this is. Just do what you need to in order to get through it. Very difficult at times like these but keep in mind all the good things in your life x

Hi all, yes I'm positive chemical sadly. Later in pregnancy, around weeks 6+, the hook effect can explain lighter lines, but going from a dark line to almost no line at 8 days post transfer can only mean one thing. The FREF is working fine as control is fine so there's no question.

Awww @tulipsandsnow I am so so sorry I know how emotionally draining all of this is. It really is so heartbreaking. I think you should test again tommorow. Abs then definitely on OTD to be sure. I know you will be devastated we are all here if you need to talk. Thinking of you ❤️

@tulipsandsnow i really am so so sorry to hear this. It breaks my heart. Can there be some fluctuation though depending on how hydrated you are / concentration / if you pee in the night maybe etc? It's still so so early. Keep us posted if you test again .

@tulipsandsnow oh no! I'm am so so sorry to hear this. You're right in testing early as least you know it did implant. But I can only imagine how devastating that must be. 😢

You're going to get through it, and you never know it may just be a concentration issue with the pee and maybe tomorrow if you test again it will be darker. Keep us posted on if you do test again. I'm keeping everything crossed for you.

Thanks all- unfortunately it is impossible that it is just a dilution thing. a) Both were FMU same amount of sleep, fluids etc as all other days. Plus, I'd gotten much darker lines in previous days from diluted evening urine. b) The control is fine and there is still a faint line, so the test itself is working.
A very slight being lighter would be one thing, but this is dramatically lighter. I've seen dozens of threads people posting a fading line using same brand test at around 3.5-5 weeks and literally not one didn't update saying it had been chemical or ectopic. Sometimes this happens at 6+ week from hook effect/hCG switchover, but that's impossible this year.

There's simply no way that it isn't a chemical given these things.

The worst thing is I just KNEW in my soul that this hadn't worked, even though it was my first FET and was euploid. The fact that for four days I let myself think it probably would work (as statistically it 'should' have for a PGT-A tested embryo once implantation confirmed- 10 or even 15% chance of loss at that point is obviously not that high). I'm so heartbroken and its cruel. I even had said outloud I was pregnant just the night before to a stranger to tell them why I couldn't help push a heavy thing and had beamed and gushed about saying it. I feel like a total fool after KNOWING it hadn't worked to letting myself believe it could. In a dark place x

I have survived :) was alittle uncomfortable as he couldn't get the catheter through first time, but great news on embryos. They both froze at 3BB, but after thawing and allowing to recover ended being 3ab and 4bb, so feeling hopeful :) have had mild period pains since, although I'm sure they will settle by tomorrow. hope everyone is doing well. Signing out for a couple of days. Will be back soon to check in with you all... sending positive vibes to each and everyone of you x

@tulipsandsnow so sorry you are having to deal with this, a standard BFN is hard enough, let alone a chemical, I know words don't take the pain away, but my thoughts are with you x

Hi everyone, i can see this is an established thread with most people having had theor transfers already. Im on the first day of a fet cycle hoping to get a transfer in before Christmas. Would jt be ok to join or should I stat a new thread? Thanks

Of course you can join welcome!! There’s a few on here that’s has transfers but a few of us still to have ours including myself and a few hoping to squeeze in just before Xmas too!!

@Twinmummy15 I know! It's such a horrible feeling that it'll never work for me because I can't understand what keeps being wrong if everything looks "perfect" to them. Obviously this time the embryo had collapsed, although apparently that's part of the development stage. Still doesn't explain why the first didn't work.
I think my clinic just say to wait two weeks, which is frustrating because still have to do the injection, pessaries and tablets.
No, this is my second FET. Ivf freeze all was in March, fet 1 in July and this is FET 2.
Hate the waiting! Next one will likely be in March next year now! Just so annoying because it's just been constant go/hospital appts and treatments for the past 3 years. So consuming.
Hope you're doing ok and hanging in there! It's good you haven't tested. I test because I just feel I'd cope with it better having the possibility of it failing early on. I know that sounds stupid.

I haven't really had symptoms to be honest, but I don't normally with pms either. With that I normally just have cramps maybe a day before it starts.
This time I've felt really bloated, but I know that's from the lubion. Nothing otherwise Xx

@FET2021 sorry about your negative test mine is still negative I am 6 dpt , so I count myself out ! My test date is in 8 days but what’s the point ? I already know it should show a faint line by now so it’s very annoying as still have to take medicine . I might stop my medicine few days early next week .

Its my first FET- we had a successful fresh cycle at the start of 2020- three miscarriages before that while on medications. Its been a long seven years to get to thia point. Like everyone else with 2ww over Christmas im a bit nervous. Last time i literally laid in bed and watched dvds 😬
Do you have a date for transfer yet?

@ShareLove I haven’t had my transfer yet I’ve got my lining scan today so all being well my transfer will be on Monday. Ive not had a lining scan yet so not sure how it will go, really hoping it’s the right thickness ! Xxxxx
