I think I'm a bit early on some of the other threads so starting one for October/November 😊

1st fresh cycle in august ended in CP.

Booked for follow up consultation 30th September so hopefully I'll be able to transfer late October early November 🤞🏼

5 frozen blasts. Hoping to transfer 2 this time round but I'm not sure they'll let me 😬

Can I ask if anyone knows what day is classed as day 1 of a FET cycle?

I had my call from clinic today. I have to go in on 1st November to get my injection for down regulation. Then back on 18th for a baseline scan. Will I then be on the estrogen tables for two weeks after that before a lining check? Xx

Mancbear88 · 15/10/2021 12:17

Spoke to my clinic today and they changed the guidance on Covid yesterday. Now if I can prove I’ve had a positive PCR in the last 90 days I don’t need to be tested in cycle. So ive started my northisterone today Smile

@lauradxoxo I’m not sure I didn’t have any injections with my FET, but the oestrogen and lining check bit was right for me (although on some I needed an extra week)

TheSnufflet · 15/10/2021 12:23

Wow @Mancbear88 that's pretty decent! My clinic still require plenty of testing although they've downgraded it from 2 PCR tests this summer to 2 LFTs and one PCR this time round.

I'm still downregging which seems to be taking forever (supposed to start stims next week) but the good news is that my BMI has gone down from 30 last month to 28.2 Smile hopefully this should give me a decent enough buffer that I shouldn't have to worry too much about the cutoff weight!

VenusStarr · 15/10/2021 13:43

I had a call today from my clinic and I'm all booked in for Monday. The embryologist was lovely and said both our embryos are beautiful 🥰 we'll get a photo this time.

I started my progesterone on Wednesday, lubion is a making my tummy sore, I'm covered in bruises already from them and clexane. Hoping I'll have plenty more to take 🤞

Well done on your weight @TheSnufflet hope you can start stims soon 🤞

I've only done a short protocol FET @lauradxoxo but once I started estrogen, I had 2 scans for lining and started my progesterone on cd14.

Hope everyone is OK xx

lucymills1234 · 15/10/2021 13:49

Congrats on the BMI update @TheSnufflet !

I'm with you on the downregging - I start Buserelin last Friday and it's really dragging...

Exciting update for you @VenusStarr - the countdown is on!

Chrischross · 15/10/2021 21:43

Hope nobody minds me joining. I’m just starting my FET. Last FET was 3 years ago and protocol has completely changed since then. I had my prostap injection his afternoon and have a baseline scan in 2 weeks. Good luck to all you ladies. Keeping everything crossed for all of us.

Tinyhappypeople · 15/10/2021 22:51

Just got out the kit for my buserelin injections to start in the morning for my FET. I’ve had an insanely busy week with work and am not feeling like I’m prepared at all… but I also wanted to just make it ‘fit in’ with normal life rather than hide myself away like I did with my fresh cycle so maybe it’s a good thing! I don’t feel excited at all though, just resigned to being knackered and grumpy for the next month Hmm. Down reg scan is two weeks today, another scan two weeks later and transfer 18th November.

Going to come back in the morning to read back and catch up on everyone’s news Smile

VenusStarr · 18/10/2021 18:31

Hi everyone, just popping on to say I'm pupo 🥰 and hopefully staying pregnant. All went well today, although my bladder was too full and I had to empty some out and it was still too full - if any of you have a retroverted uterus, less is more!
We got a picture of our embryo this time too, can't stop looking at it ❤️

Hope everyone is well xx

That’s amazing news! How do you feel? Interesting about the bladder.I really struggled last time. I was bursting for wee but docs wanted it fuller. Not going through that stress again so have opted for transfer under sedation.
VenusStarr · 19/10/2021 07:09

I'm feeling OK thank you @Chrischross. I was very tired after, I think I'd been holding onto a lot of tension. We went out for an early dinner after but I was starving again a couple of hours later.

I'm sorry you had difficulty before. Does sedation cost a lot more? When is your transfer likely to be?

lucymills1234 · 19/10/2021 09:07

Congrats @VenusStarr - I hope that the 2WW passes smoothly for you and the waiting doesn't drag too much.

I'm day 12 of down-regging today so not long until my baseline scan and all being well I can then crack on with stims and feel like I am actually getting somewhere!

lauradxoxo · 19/10/2021 11:05

@Chrischross my protocol sounds the same as yours I’m due to get my prostap injection on 1st November then baseline 2 weeks later. Good luck keep us posted how your getting on!

@VenusStarr congratulations on being pupo!! I really hope this is a sticky one for you!! Keep us posted of any symptoms will be saying a little prayer for you xxxxx

Mancbear88 · 19/10/2021 12:48

@VenusStarr congratulations I think you’re one of the first transfers on this thread? Fingers crossed you start it off with the first BFP!!

theotherfossilsister · 19/10/2021 18:40

That's a great achievement @TheSnufflet

Had my appointment yesterday and started busrelin there and then on cycle day two. Phone beeped during the demonstration telling me Colin Powell had died, which was distracting but I think I understood what I have to do. So much measuring! My little cat is obsessed with my medicine.

Got a talking to about BMI which is 'more than we would ideally like' at 27 but 'below our cut off '

Have a horrible sore throat but not Covid, looking outside now and thinking I should walk the two miles home from work, but a bus appeals so much, and it's dark and I have to cross a scary road without pedestrian lights if I walk, but walking is good for weight, right? They told me to walk more.

Congratulations @VenusStarr. We're all routing for you so hard.

Newbee33 · 19/10/2021 18:57

Congratulations @VenusStarr thats great news, everything crossed for you.

@theotherfossilsister opt for the walk the thought of it is probably worse than it will be, you will great afterwards. As long as it is safe though x

2021babyhope · 19/10/2021 20:08

@VenusStarr yay! That's exciting - i think you're the first one for transfer here! Sending you all the positive vibes ❤️

Finally got my schedule through! It's a long one - but should be transferring 9th December. And they're letting me transfer two!

Bureselin (not sure of spelling) starts day 21 of my current cycle so early nov and then my first (and only? Is that weird?) scan is 1st December.

They've upped my progesterone this time - I get the pessaries and the gel... lucky me.

@theotherfossilsister I'm surprised they have you a talking to about BMI! I think I'm at about 27 and no one has said anything! Although I would like to lose about 6lbs before transfer.

Hope everyone's getting on okay! Look forward to seeing the updates 😊

Hey!
Going to jump in here. My transfer will be on Monday. This will be my third attempt, hoping that it’s three times a charm!

🤞🏼

Chrischross · 19/10/2021 21:18

@VenusStarr it’s about £500 extra at my clinic but definitely think it’s worth though it DH isn’t entirely convinced though. Keep us posted on how you get on xx

@lauradxoxo good luck, bet you’re counting down the days. Yes your protocol sounds like mine. This will be my 5th cycle (FET). Took me 4 cycles to have DS. I have just about gotten over that trauma and now starting again but trying to keep really calm.

@IVFhadenough good luck with transfer on Monday third time’s definitely a charm. Fingers crossed for you.

ExhaustedPigeon1988 · 19/10/2021 22:34

Hey, hope you guys don’t mind me joining, have often used this site for help and advise but have just been a reader…. Thinking it time to join in ;-)

So I had my egg collection 11/8/21, and a transfer 16/8/21, which failed :(

I have 3 frozen 6 day blasts, and have started down the today, with hopefully the transfer going ahead 29/11/21- which seems forever away. Had awful depression on last down reg, and have 5 weeks of it this time, hoping it’s going to be easier. Lovely to see so many ladies involved in the chat, I love the support of this page!

VenusStarr · 20/10/2021 09:11

Thank you @lucymills1234 I feel like it's going too fast already! I don't want test day to come.

Nothing much to report with symptoms @lauradxoxo last time I had af type cramps in the first couple of days. I've had a few twinges but that's it.

Thank you @Mancbear88 really hope this is a lucky thread 🍀

Thank you @theotherfossilsister 🙏 ❤️ my cats are interested in my injections... One jumped on my lap the other day mid-injection! Dh had to shoo her off 🤦🏻‍♀️

Thank you @Newbee33 @2021babyhope 🙂

Best wishes for Monday @IVFhadenough 🤞

That's not too bad @Chrischross and if it helps you, it's priceless.

I'm sorry about your round in August @ExhaustedPigeon1988 I've just done a FET, it's more surreal than a fresh round although I didn't down regulate. Hope the time passes quickly for you.

ExhaustedPigeon1988 · 20/10/2021 10:53

Thank you @VenusStarr I have found all of it surreal tbh. It's all like it's happening to someone else, proper out of body experience, especially egg collection. I'm at Bournhall, and it's only basic sedation that's used, was a very strange experience. I can't believe how long FET cycles take, I wish away the time, but dread the result day too, struggling to be positive after the last experience, having a double transfer this time, been told 45% success rate, and 25% chance of twins, will take the risk if it lowers the chance of a negative :-/ how is everyone feeling today? X

Chrischross · 20/10/2021 11:27

@ExhaustedPigeon1988
Sorry to hear about your last transfer. Double transfer sounds like a good idea. I secretly wished for twins, just to get things over done with 😅. I know what you mean about the wait. Reminds me of the wait for A levels results. What are you using to down regulate?

ExhaustedPigeon1988 · 20/10/2021 11:47

@Chrischross supreur for 5 whole weeks :-/ it's all just to strange isn't it, you wish the time away although you are dreading it too, I failed the TWW last time and only managed 4 days before testing daily for a week lol. Have booked a mini break to Lincoln strange after transfer in November, and not taking any tests with me so I have no option but to wait this time lol x

2021babyhope · 20/10/2021 12:12

@ExhaustedPigeon1988 I'm at bourn hall too 😊 they sent me to the Cambridge clinic though !

I might follow along here as there seems to be a few people at a similar point.
I agree with those that have said the downreg on buserelin feels like forever! I feel like I've been on it an age. I finally had my baseline scan today and everything looks ok. I'm just waiting for them to call me later today to confirm i can start my stims. This is my first cycle.
