Just got them, they seem insanely high at 555 😨 wasn't expecting to be worried about that, is it twins or could there be another problem or do we think just implanted early. My son was 260 on the same day! But I know every pregnancy is different.

Did read somewhere that downs can cause high levels :-/ there's always something to be worrying about.

How many days post transfer are you? 500 for a first test is excellent which explains why the line on the test was so dark. I have never heard about Downs causing high hcg levels, I have heard about twins doing it!

The nice nurse at my clinic called me, she said she'd spoken to my doctor and that she said try not to worry and take the heparin again this evening and then as normal. She said my specialist will call me either today or tomorrow. I wanted everything to go perfectly this time which it obviously didn't, but I guess there's nothing more I can do now.

Wow @whatcangowrong congratulations! It could be twins alright. iVF just really isn’t an exact science. They’re going on morphology for how good the embryos are when it’s normality that matters. Hopefully your two embryos, despite sounding not great grading wise, were both normal and have both implanted.

@Gardenlady543 I hope the nurse reassured you a bit. I’m glad the specialist will call you too. Are you feeling a bit less stressed today? Hopefully your embryo is getting settled in! When will you test and do you test early?

@whatcangowrong this is great news! You had two transferred so there could be two growing. Do you have another Hcg test booked or a scan?

Thank you @Cream123 ❤️ that has helped me. I just constantly doubt what I saw with my own eyes. Its exhausting, I'm reminding myself that I did see them and their little flickering heartbeat. My counsellor said I've got a negative parrot on my shoulder because every time I say stuff like this, I follow it up with a but or a negative statement. But no bleeding or negative signs 🙏

I think the dh thing with pregnancy being abstract is right. Even though we've had so many pregnancy experiences my dh struggles to get it. But on Friday after the epu scan, I was reading him a message my sister had sent us both (to hold on to each other and be kind to ourselves) and looked up and he had just broken down in tears 😢😢 it's so hard. They feel very helpless.

@whatcangowrong that's a good hcg level. Could be you implanted quite early, or could be twins. Have you got your first scan booked?

@Dochas1211 I took my meds or not. The outcome of this cycle does not rest on one blood thinning injection ❤️

How many days post transfer are you?? At 8dp5dt with my twins my hcg was 159....

Definitely could be twins....

Although I also read that girls can have early high hcg levels too 🤔

@whatcangowrong mine was 700 on 10dp5dt this time around. Only one baby in there though I don’t know sex!
I implanted early I think as the day post transfer I had a load of sharp cramps and I was secretly hoping that was what was going on. Being pregnancy no 8 for me I’m usually pretty in tune with my body so I’m sure I just implanted ASAP.

So exciting though! Can't wait for you to have a scan to confirm! (I had one at 6+1 due to history of ectopics so I found out really early about my twins)

We will see how the blood test is on Saturday and whether it's going up as it should. Then book the scan. We are going abroad in early December so imagine scan may be the day before we go. Either way will be good to be away either to process bad news or to get through a couple of weeks of sickness etc without having to be at work.

@Cream123 that's good to know that it's not completely mad as a level thank you. Twins would be quite fun but I just want one healthy baby really.

Ok enough about me for one day! Sorry to dominate. Hope everyone is doing ok. Sending good vibes to all but especially @Gardenlady543 for implantation and @VenusStarr for Monday. @Dochas121 what are your next steps?

@whatcangowrong that’s good you’re getting another HCG on Saturday. I’d say that’s your decision made about doing scan before as opposed to after your holiday! You will definitely want to know what’s happening.

I’ve booked a scan for when I’m technically 7 weeks (the dating is so weird with adding on two weeks when you know you weren’t pregnant then). I have a retroverted uterus so hoping I’ll be able to see something and won’t be left in limbo over Christmas. We aren’t really talking about it much, we’re both very focused on hoping for a positive outcome from the scan. I guess that’s IVF for you! Always thinking about the next milestone you need to cross!

@whatcangowrong that's reassuring to hear @Cream123 having a similar (or even higher!) result at the same stage. Hopefully that will let you relax just slightly until Saturday.

@Dochas1211 when is 7 weeks for you?

This thread has turned in such a different direction in the past week or two hasn't it? Suddenly we're all about Hcg levels and scans. It's not an easy place for any of you but it's a step forwards from ERA etc tests at least

@seven201 I hope you're ok. I had counselling today and we spent the whole time talking about my relationship. She kept suggesting I talk to DP about this or that and I kept saying "but he doesn't talk!!". Xxx

@Janefx40 it’ll be 8th December so bit of a wait. Days are crawling by!

Sorry to hear it’s tough to talk to your DP. I hope the counselling helped though.

@Dochas1211 that's weird as my calendar is saying 8 December is 7 weeks for me. Maybe you have less time to wait than you think?

Hmm I think I’ve calculated it right.

I did the transfer on 2nd November so by 8th December that’s 5 weeks plus the 2 fake weeks so 7 weeks.

When was your transfer? Am I just calculating it wrong? I haven’t used a proper calculator as I don’t want to know due date.

So I had a bleed last night. No cause found. Ugh. Was just starting to relax a little after my history and lots of bleeding in first trimester and being told I had likley miscarried when I hadn’t ….also had to cancel some special weekend plans as am to take it easy and not go too far wotever that means. I just hope baby is ok and stays up for another ten weeks!

I know I’m lucky to be in this situation but it’s so stressful! And the blood just reminded me of all my losses and cycles so I was a mess yesterday. It seems to have stopped so feeling a little better today

So sorry to hear this @Cream123 how many weeks are you now? Are you having a planned section? I hope you can rest up this weekend although I know you’d prefer to be out enjoying your plans.

Did your consultant say he is happy all is ok?

Honestly I don’t know how some people just go through a pregnancy completely oblivious! I think when you’ve been through so much you’re not going to relax until baby is in your arms.

If it helps at all I had massive bleeds with the twins requiring ambulances to come out but they were ok. I've heard before that bleeding n pregnancy is a lot more common in ivf pregnancies than none ivf ones

@Cream123 I'm sorry to hear you've had a scare ❤️ I'm sorry you've had to cancel your plans. You don't have to justify how you feel, it's really scary. Hoping it's nothing serous and your little one stats put.

I've been nauseous these last couple of days and eating helps for a bit then it comes back. Been shattered too but can't nap either. Not complaining, I'm secretly quite pleased to feel rough. Hope it means something. X

@Cream123 sorry about your bleeds. It must be so worrying. My friend had bleeding throughout including such a big bleed that it soaked her clothing and wet the floor. Her son is 7 now. Fingers crossed it's just one of those things.

@Dochas1211 your transfer is on Day 5 so 5 days post ovulation. If you did a Day 5 Transfer on 2nd November then your official ovulation date is Thursday 28th Oct at which point you were technically 2 weeks pregnant. So you will be 8 weeks on 9th December x

@VenusStarr also glad you are feeling rough. Hopefully this is a good sign and your scan on Monday will confirm. Will be keeping everything crossed for you.

Yes it was a Day 5 embryo transferred on Day 6 as that’s when my implantation window came back as. I don’t understand the dating at all then 🤷‍♀️🙈

@Dochas1211 you are 6 days ahead of me based on day of transfer. I am 4.2 today. So I think you're 5.1. So each Thursday should be your week count.
