@seven201 it’s a tricky one as I know it can be hard to see others positive news even with the best will in the world. So I didn’t want to be over posting.

That’s great about the lining check. It’ll help with decision to reduce or not reduce your meds for future FET if you know how it all looks naturally. I really wish they’d do stuff like that at the start when there’s so much waiting. The more information the better in my view.

Dochas1211 · 17/12/2021 18:47

@whatcangowrong that’s fantastic!!! So pleased for you. Hope that’s helped take the worry off!!

seven201 · 17/12/2021 19:23

@Dochas1211 yeah, I know what you mean. It is good to see other people get their good news , especially after a fight to get it.

@whatcangowrong wow! That is excellent that they're both doing well.

Good for both of you to get that bit of reassurance before Xmas.

I'm glad I have the scan booked. Was very firmly told no, your dates puts you when we're closed, then no we're full just after Xmas. I used to be all polite and "oh ok then" and cry at home, but over the last couple of years I've learned you can't do that if you ever want to make progress with ivf! I'd probably be waiting for transfer 3 instead of 6 if I'd not made a right nuisance of myself so many times.

@Dochas1211 so pleased your scan went well. How are you feeling?

@whatcangowrong amazing news that they are both still in there and going strong. You must have felt so relieved.

I know that some people do find it hard hearing about pregnancies and that is completely understandable but personally I love to hear about success. I do feel that we are a tribe and one success for one is a success for us all. So it's nice to hear that things are going well but totally get why you don't want to post too much

@seven201 great news about the scan. We have to push sometimes to get what we need.

I'm getting nervous that I'll catch Covid or that the clinic will close. Just so desperate to get to this transfer x

Dochas1211 · 17/12/2021 21:45

@seven201 yes when I think back to how tolerant I was at the start. Patience has definitely gone! Well done standing your ground.

@Janefx40 I’m doing ok. I find I’m delighted after a scan for a day or two then the anxiety sets back in again. I have a uterine abnormality and have been told I may have a weak cervix and be at risk of preterm delivery so unfortunately there will be no let up in the worry. Have to just hope for the best. They don’t know for sure and I will push for extra monitoring.

Is your FET still going ahead end December - what date? And it’s one of your two PGS tested right? Are you still taking the probiotics?

VenusStarr · 22/12/2021 16:13

Hi everyone. I haven't been on for a while. Things haven't been great. I tested positive 3 weeks post surgery and epu wanted me to retest today. I had what I thought was my period over the weekend which was painful and upsetting. Then I developed a strange, painful ache in my leg and ended up being sent to A&E on Monday as they were worried it was a dvt. Thankfully it's not but they think my veins are inflamed. And I'm high risk for developing a clot, so being mindful of my symptoms.
I retested today as requested by epu and still got a faint positive, the epu nurse was worried and said my bleeding can't have been a period and wants me back for a scan tomorrow to check for retained tissue. I'm glad they're checking but I'm just done. I feel fed up and broken with it all 😢

I'm glad there's some positive news on the thread. I hope things are OK with you @Janefx40 @Cream123 @seven201 @Gardenlady543 sorry not to tag everyone xx

StillTrying10000 · 22/12/2021 17:19

@VenusStarr gosh that sounds awful. Have you had retained tissue in the past or is this something new for you? At least they are going to see you before Christmas. I hope they sort what ever it is quickly x

seven201 · 22/12/2021 19:36

@VenusStarr oh you poor love. This is not what you need. I'm glad you're going in tomorrow. I hope you get some definitive answers and treatment so you can move on a little before Xmas.

Oh @VenusStarr I'm so sorry you are going through this. It's so unfair. We're here to chat any time you want. Let us know what they say tomorrow.

I'm ok although someone in DPs office has just tested positive so we're wondering what to do about Christmas plans. We'll PCR him tomorrow but wondering whether that's a long enough incubation period to still travel to my parents on Friday afternoon even if his PCR is negative. Lateral flows are next to useless. His colleague tested negative on the lateral flows in the morning while he was waiting for his PCR result which came back positive. On the plus side, if I get it now, I'll be out in time for the cycle to start (provide The clinic doesn't close) xxx

Gardenlady543 · 23/12/2021 12:41

I'm so sorry @VenusStarr I want this to be over for you asap, this is such a shit time of the year, sending so many hugs your way.

bluepixie · 23/12/2021 13:17

@VenusStarr I’m so sorry :( I had retained products once and only realised as a month post had a huge bleed while in the pub. Was hideous. It got sorted with one op and antibiotics. It’s awful how it can drag on so long and u can’t move on physically or emotionally…..

I think it’s prob time to leave this thread. I’m so glad there has been some
Postive news and I’m hoping with my whole heart for some in 2022 for the others. ESP @Gardenlady543 @seven201 who I started the thread with. And for you @VenusStarr as I know how much your heart hurts as our journeys have been similar.
I’ll prob still pop on to see how u all get on though
My ivf doc said I can come back for my last blast. I laughed in his face. I’m done! It’s been 9 years full of appts surgeries ivf and tears and im so done. Just hoping this one comes out safely so i can move fwds

Lots of love and hugs to you strong strong women xxxx

seven201 · 23/12/2021 19:12

@Cream123 oh no! But we want to know that the baby arrives safely. Ha - I'd have laughed at him too in your position.

@VenusStarr how did it go today? I hope it went as well as it could have.

@Janefx40 I'm in a similar boat. I ate a Kit Kat then did a lateral flow after 10 mins (I was in a rush, meant to be 30 mins after food) then didn't check the test until after 1hr and there is a feint line. Have done two more since that are negative and gone and had a pcr, but it's possible the results will take ages and affect Xmas day plans. I'm annoyed at myself.

@seven201 ah bless u. I’ll pop on to let u know as long as it’s not triggering for others on here

Oh no crap!!!! It’s so hard to dodge it atm. I feel like I’ve gone into semi isolation atm with a bid to avoid it despite being triple jabbed….

Excellent! You could always send me a message (although I don't know how to use them, hopefully it emails an alert so I know to check) if you don't want to post on here. I'll be thinking of you in January!

Well done for being triple jabbed; being a bit sensible and getting jabbed is all you can do really. I had my booster last week Smile.

Thank you @StillTrying10000 I did have retained tissue after my 4th loss last year (but strangely negative tests then). Thankfully all was clear at my scan yesterday. Still got to test one more time next Wednesday just to be sure. She thinks it was my period over the weekend too, so hopefully my cycle will settle quickly, even though we aren't ttc / doing ivf until we get the cytogenetic results. They were able to check my histology report and they definitely got pregnancy tissue and all was clear, so I'm really hoping we get a result (been panicking we won't get anything back and that Dr S won't change anything).

Thank you @Gardenlady543 ❤️ I hope you're doing as well as you can.

Thank you @Janefx40 @seven201 @Cream123 it's good to have you all here for support, even if I'm not around much right now. I'm struggling to put anything into words right now. @Cream123 wishing you all the best with your little one ❤️ I'm trying to hold onto hope.

Lots of love to you all. Dh is finally on his way home and he has 3 days off, I'm looking forward to spending time doing nothing with him xx

seven201 · 24/12/2021 23:50

@VenusStarr I'm glad you had the positive news, and for the pregnancy tissue too. Nice to get that info before Xmas. Enjoy having your dh back.

Early Merry Christmas to everyone for tomorrow. May your bellies be filled with too much food and drink. It can be a hard day, so big love. Xx

Janefx40 · 25/12/2021 00:00

@VenusStarr enjoy time with DH. Sending lots of love. Always here if you want me

@seven201 did you get your PCR result yet? Hope it doesn't spoil any Christmas plans.

Love to you all. I know I'm relatively new to this thread but it's been amazing.

Hope you can all enjoy something about Christmas tomorrow - films, food or presents

Xxx

seven201 · 25/12/2021 07:45

@Janefx40 it was negative. Very lucky the results came back yesterday morning. Is your dp ok?

OP posts:
Gardenlady543 · 25/12/2021 08:19

Happy Christmas, I'm thinking of you girls today. I'm hoping that next Christmas we're all at least a little bit closer to our goals ❤️

Dochas1211 · 25/12/2021 08:29

Wishing everyone a peaceful Christmas. X

seven201 · 28/12/2021 11:24

I've had a positive lateral flow this morning so have had to cancel my scan for tomorrow (as doubt tummy pcr will be back in time). So annoying as just delays everything even more.

OP posts:
Gardenlady543 · 28/12/2021 11:25

Erg I'm sorry @seven201 that's rubbish :(

Janefx40 · 28/12/2021 12:37

@seven201 oh no! I'm so sorry to hear this. After everything we've all been through this Covid is yet another hurdle. Sending you a virtual hug - I'm not convinced I'm going to manage a whole cycle without getting Covid either!!!

seven201 · 28/12/2021 13:39

Thanks. It's just frustrating, but not the end of the world for me as not a proper cycle. Don't get me wrong, I'm upset, but not as upset as I would have been pre the surgery. I'd have been crying on the floor!

@Janefx40 I hope you get through the whole cycle. Have you started now?

@Gardenlady543 any results yet?

OP posts:
Janefx40 · 28/12/2021 14:39

@seven201 glad you're ok. I'm just waiting for my period now. Due tomorrow or Thursday then I need to book my scan x
