Thank you @Janefx40 ❤️ that's lovely and gives me a bit of strength today.

I've been awake since 3.30, so have been reminding myself of all the reasons why this can have worked and trying to visualise getting good news. I can't change the outcome today but allowing myself that space has helped me a bit. Hopefully I'll be back later with good news.

Thank you @whatcangowrong.

Thinking of you today @Dochas121 ❤️ @seven201 hope you hear back today xx

bluepixie · 12/11/2021 07:22

tiggerwhocamefortea · 12/11/2021 08:43

Good luck ladies today 🤞🏻🤞🏻

seven201 · 12/11/2021 10:21

I don't know what to think of my result. It's just over 40. I happened to do a cd21 one to check I ovulated and that was 30.1. It doesn't sound good does it? But I could have ovulated late so still be in the 4 week numbers (I thought I was nearly 5 weeks at test day). Could the progesterone be stopping my period/early miscarriage from coming?? I can do another one (I have one) but again I'll have to send Monday morning so probably won't get the results until this time next week Hmm. Oh bum bum bum.

@seven201 it's the trend that you need to look at, so you need to do another one. Can you tell your gp you did if and you're worried and ask if they'll do a repeat, as you'll get the result much quicker that way? Otherwise can you send off the one you have but don't ask for the doctor review because that slows it down.

Your progesterone is really good!

seven201 · 12/11/2021 10:40

Thanks @Gardenlady543 . I've filled in the e-consult form so I should imagine I won't get a response/blood test appt until next week now.

Do you think the progesterone can hold off the bleed? I know I've only had one early mc before and they can be different but last time I started bleeding at 5 1/2 weeks and it was just obviously a miscarriage.

OP posts:
whatcangowrong · 12/11/2021 10:58

@seven201 not an expert but that progesterone level is really high from just cyclogest top ups so your body must be making a lot too. I checked my results from my last (successful) pregnancy yesterday (in a break from Google) and my levels were more like half of that in a fet pregnancy with just 2 cyclogest a day. So I think it's probably not just your cyclogest holding off bleeding if you see what I mean, your body is doing that. My level was 150 yesterday, and clinic said that was great.

I think it all depends when you ovulated as you say. The hcg number is quite low but it may have been really early days. @Cream123 had some good stats re her previous pregnancy.

whatcangowrong · 12/11/2021 11:01

Also @seven201 I wonder whether the finger prick takes a big enough sample? Can you go somewhere for a proper draw? It annoys me that your clinic aren't helping you with this! Really poor form from them in my opinion.

Gardenlady543 · 12/11/2021 11:58

@seven201 I agree with @whatcangowrong about the progesterone on 1 x lubion and 1 x cyclogest my progesterone was 46.6, there's no way that 2 x cyclogest are keeping the level over 200, you're producing progesterone. Can you send off another to medichecks today?

seven201 · 12/11/2021 13:08

Thank you everyone, that's a bit reassuring. I shit you not, I've been on hold trying to get through to the GP to request a blood test for 2hrs 21mins so far. I've gone from number 9 to number 4 (that took 1hr 45) but now the surgery is closed for 2 hours for lunch. It no longer tells me what number I am. I only do a half day on a friday so I've just got home and will walk down to the gp when they open I think. I did try a local private gp but they said they need my gp to confirm I can have a blood test (who I can't get hold of), or I can wait and pay for an appt then blood test, but that would all take ages. The medichecks one you can only post mon-thurs. It's all pretty annoying!

OP posts:
seven201 · 12/11/2021 13:09

I should have posted my second one off yesterday! I just thought it would either be too low and be a clear negative or be high enough for me to feel reassured enough and that I might wait a while before sending off the second.

Gardenlady543 · 12/11/2021 13:30

Arggg how frustrating @seven201 !!

That is ridiculous about the Gp surgery phone line, I think going in person would be the best bet, I doubt they will be able to book you in until Monday though as the couriers usually come at lunchtime, you could try saying you'll take it to the hospital lab, but the gp won't open until Monday for you to get the results anyway. You know if you're really desperate you could go to a&e/one of those urgent care centers, say you've been bleeding and they'll probably do a hcg. I saw someone do this literally they day after the 2ww in an Ivf cycle and they even did an ultrasound, which was obviously far to early to pick anything up, but they got the hcg. I guess it depends on whether you feel you can wait until early next week.

whatcangowrong · 12/11/2021 13:35

It must be infuriating @seven201. Would a clear blue digital reassure you? It's insane you can't get any help with this from anyone. However knowing what's going on won't change the outcome so just keep sitting tight I guess until you can get seen.

bluepixie · 12/11/2021 13:35

@seven201 a one of value doesn’t mean much. It’s the fact it doubles in 48 hours which is supportive. The good news is your def preg and implantation has happened for first time in 4 years and naturally too. For now just try get another Hcg. As you know my hcg was very low with my son and he made it. I double checked my figures and he was
13 7dp5dt - so that’s day before missed period.
There is some thought frozen and pgs blasts take a bit longer to implant and defrost so maybe why it was ridiculously low (in contrast this pregnancy was 500 8dp5dt?) so the number means little but the trend means more

Don’t worry about the progesterone better to have more than less . If your going to miscarry it happens regardless talking from experience here . Hope ur ok. I’m hoping u get another a good rise on ur next hcg!

seven201 · 12/11/2021 13:43

Thank you all. You're all so lovely. I got cut off from the gp on hold line! I think I'll go down when they open at 2.30. They don't do blood tests there, I'd have to go to a local hospital and need an appointment. Monday wouldn't be too bad, would be faster than medichecks. I don't feel desperate enough to go to a&e. When I had bleeding with my dd there was a 5 day wait for epu scans - I hope they've improved since then. Maybe I need to move to a better area that has GPs and a not overstretched epu!

That is a very good point about the weeks pregnancy tests. Should I or not?? I have a first response and a clear blue weeks one. Aghhh.

@Cream123 that's reassuring to know that it wouldn't necessarily be the cyclogest holding off a bleed. I've still got more mucus than normal, but I think pregnancy symptoms can linger can't they.

@VenusStarr any news from you 🤞?

Janefx40 · 12/11/2021 13:49

Hello everyone. First @VenusStarr good luck for 2pm!!!

Janefx40 · 12/11/2021 13:50

Good luck @Dochas121 too for your results x

Janefx40 · 12/11/2021 13:53

@seven201 I'm sorry you're still in limbo with this one. I've no idea how reliable a finger prick test is. On the one hand, Medichecks are generally pretty good so they probably wouldn't offer it if it wasn't reliable. On the other hand I've never known a clinic to test that way so it obviously isn't the best way to test.

If you decide to do the CB weeks test I would wait until tomorrow morning. If it isn't FMU you may still be left wondering.

Can't believe your GP left you on hold for so long! I wish I had an answer for you.

Xxx

seven201 · 12/11/2021 13:56

@Dochas121 good luck. Is it test today but result tomorrow?

@Janefx40 thank you.

Omfg. Just went down to the doctor (as realised it opens at 2, phone lines 2.30) and I can have an appointment on 23rd of November. 23rd!!!! Or I can turn up at 8am on Monday and request an on the day appt, but they can't guarantee me they'll have an on the day appt. No apology when I said I'd been cut off after 2 1/2 hrs on hold. I am livid!

OP posts:
bluepixie · 12/11/2021 14:43

@seven201 I’m so sorry! They r so busy and stretched atm. It’s a nightmare. I think getting one done privately or another finger prick is ur way fwd……where do u live again is it Bristol?
