Setting up a new thread as the old one was nearly at the limit.

Hi @Pinklady81 how did it go today? If you're not feeling great about natural modified, then I'd say definitely try something different. Which clinic are you with at the moment? Have they identified any specific issues or do they think it's just age related? Sending hugs, i find the pre-cycle decision making really hard.

Pinklady81 · 21/10/2022 19:45

It's not naturally modified I am worried about it's the whole process after loss, I didn't get a reason as baby wasn't conceived via ivf it was a natural conception! I don't know what to do whether I should push for more tests. The consultant I am with Create was really helpful and he said to be emotionally mentally and physically ready for the next cycle which I don't think anyone will ever be after a loss.

Hi @Nessylink that's amazing - well done! What did you change for these cycles? After 4 cycles with no normal blasts, we're at the end of the own egg ivf road tbh and moving on to donor eggs. I have mixed emotions about it, particularly as I dig in more to the impact on the donor conceived children. I'm trying to get as much info as possible!

@Phrenologistsfinger my results are probably more aligned with your expectations...3 rounds were at 40, the last at 41...my clinic still gave me a 25% chance of success if we wanted to carry on, but I feel like that's looking at an average for my age, rather than necessarily my track record. My amh went up from the start (2.7) to the end (6.2), but I still didn't get normal embryos (last round they were untested but they transferred 3 on day 3 and none of them stuck, so I can only assume they were not normal!). Good luck for your next round, all you need is one good egg 🤞🤞🤞

Have you read Susan Golombok 'We are family' book? She is a Cambridge university researcher. Very interesting focus on modern families. Might help with thinking about impacts on child of donor egg.

Hello! I’ve caught up with what’s happened since July. I am so sorry to hear the devastating news. I came off here following my unsuccessful egg collection at the end of June, it was my second of 3 paid for egg collections. I’ve been on my supplements and contacted create to restart and have been waiting for my period. I’m two days late so despite telling myself I shouldn’t, I bought two pregnancy tests, I have never been naturally pregnant and have bought hundreds of tests in the last 8 years. I’m somehow, incredibly (I don’t understand how) showing positive. Obviously absolutely petrified it’s not going to last. Found some old gels so inserted and had a baby asprin tonight. I’m going to contact Create first thing. I’m in shock.

LT103 · 18/11/2022 05:06

@Woodcottage1 what amazing news!!!! Congratulations!!! Really hope everything goes ok for you ❤️

Woodcottage1 · 18/11/2022 10:05

Thank you, I’m at the clinic now to see what I should do to support this x

LouScot · 18/11/2022 11:28

@Woodcottage1 wow, what a lovely shock you've had. Hope things go well at the clinic x

Woodcottage1 · 18/11/2022 21:40

I feel I have to share something with you ladies. I’ve been thinking how on earth have I naturally got pregnant, the first time this has happened in my life. I’ve been on the same supplements which we’re all on for a long time so that hasn’t really changed, but I did gear them up recently. I’ve been laughing a lot thanks to curb your enthusiasm re runs, but the only thing different this month is I just so happened to have a session of Hyperbaric oxygen (HBO) treatment. My gym had one fitted and thought I would try it. You sit in a chamber and it changes the pressure and you wear an oxygen mask. It cost £120.
if you see my cycle, I had my HBO treatment just after my fertile period on my tracker.

So I just decided to Google the treatment to see if you can have it pregnant and find the statement above, saying it can help with implantation. I have never been naturally pregnant, how did we not know about this being useful for implantation?

Woodcottage1 · 18/11/2022 21:52

Thank you LouScot. I’m on steroids, blood thinning injections and the gels x

LouScot · 22/11/2022 14:40

Thanks @Woodcottage1 I'm definitely going to see if I can find one in Edinburgh!

Pinklady81 · 22/11/2022 19:08

TRIGGER POST

I am a few days late for period done some tests negative on day of expected period done one tonight and a faint line I won't post on here but shows I think something I'm going crazy would anyone mind me messaging as I'm a serial tester !!

LouScot · 22/11/2022 19:46

@Pinklady81 message me if you want although I'm atrocious at seeing lines x

Pinklady81 · 22/11/2022 19:47

@LouScot I'll send you it now thank you xx

Woodcottage1 · 23/11/2022 07:58

That’s incredible news @Pinklady81 . I’ll be praying for you. I had a miracle line on Thursday, first one of my life naturally. I went to my clinic on Friday and got gels, blood thinners and steroids. Best of luck when testing this morning. I can put what I was given on here if you’re interested. I paid privately at another clinic for a scan yesterday, you can just about see a potential sac that could be the embryo developing. I’ve got free fluid which is a concern and probably due to my endometriosis which is worrying me. I still feel like my period is coming and wondering if the free fluid is related to that.
I’m having a session today of Hyperbaric Oxgyen, I want to see if the session can help. I had acupuncture on Monday. I discussed the hyperbaric oxygen treatment with my acupuncturist and he is also looking into it. If there is anyone local to Cheshire you can join me for a sessions as I’ve already paid for them, and two people can use at one time. I’m taking my mum this morning. I have one on Friday.

Pinklady81 · 23/11/2022 07:59

Negative this morning so god knows what's going on . Good luck with everything

Woodcottage1 · 23/11/2022 08:06

I’m so sorry @Pinklady81 . Please look at hyperbaric oxygen therapy and read though the research that’s happening. I’m 43 and had never had a positive pregnancy test naturally. If you’re local to Cheshire let me know.

Pinklady81 · 23/11/2022 08:08

I had my miracle news in June but sadly didn't last

Anxiousbuthopeful · 23/11/2022 11:11

Wow such good news @Pinklady81 and @Woodcottage1

LouScot · 23/11/2022 11:41

@Pinklady81 argh, I'm sorry this morning was negative, but if your period is still late maybe still some hope? Really hope it works out for you xx

Pinklady81 · 23/11/2022 12:19

I've done a few tests clear blue and negative but an Asda one showed a faint line maybe evap line .... I'm late and never usually this late but by now I'm sure if I was I would be getting a positive ....

Woodcottage1 · 23/11/2022 13:30

I’m using the clear and simple digital tests, I was getting none clear results with other tests. There’s 2 for 5.99 at home bargains. I’m praying for you. Every 3 clear and simple digital test says error, im testing continuously 🙈🙈🙈

Pinklady81 · 23/11/2022 13:48

I did a clearblue digital and was negative this morning so surely that should have come up by now . This is what I got last night
