@Pinklady81 definitely allow yourself a wine or too. There is no harm in that in between cycles.

Happy birthday too 🥂🥳 May this year be the one.

It is my birthday Thursday and FET booked for Wednesday….. so no wine for me and trying to hide it will be fun! But I feel better spending my birthday in the hope zone somehow

@LuckyNovember good luck for your next cycle too…. Fingers crossed you can get started quickly x

Bryterlayter1 · 10/04/2022 16:07

@LuckyNovember very sorry to hear about the bfn. I hope you can start the next cycle soon.

Hopeful199 · 22/04/2022 05:49

Another BFN for me this morning.

I had zero symptoms but was holding out that that was positive. I don’t even have the energy to cry…… wallow and wine tonight then have to pick myself up and start all over again. Such a soul destroying process. I really thought this one was it 💔

Bryterlayter1 · 22/04/2022 07:52

@Hopeful199 i’m really sorry to read this. Take care of yourself x

Hopeful199 · 22/04/2022 08:02

Thanks so much @Bryterlayter1

hpoe your next cycle is underway and all is going well so far x

Lulu106 · 26/04/2022 08:09

@Hopeful199 so sorry to hear your news. Sending you healing and hope.

Can I ask is anyone having problems accessing the app? My watch list has disappeared and I cannot add any comments.

Hi everyone,

I'd not posted on this thread for a while and sorry to see there has been some bad news @LuckyNovember @Hopeful199 I hope you are both slowly recovering and if you're ready, formulating plans. It's always such a blow to see a negative and especially when age is a constant pressure breathing down your neck.

@Lulu106 I don't use the app but MN is definitely glitchy these days, I had to scrap the last message I typed as I kept getting an 'oops' screen pop up.

@Bryterlayter1 where are you with your treatment now?

I am back in another TWW after a medicated FET. It's my seventh transfer overall but the first time I've had a medicated FET. No specific reason for it, it was suggested by my consultant as something different to try. The downside is that they say to wait until 15dp5dt to test. I'm now day 12 and I've always tested at 11 days before so the delay is miserable.

I had one BFP before which turned into a chemical and had clear symptoms from 9dp - noticeable tiredness (falling asleep at the laptop level) and breast tenderness, which I'd not had with failed transfers. This time I've not had either. Some stomach discomfort but nothing major/prolonged and probably digestion. I've had some fatigue but pretty sure that's down to disturbed sleep, which I had on BFN rounds too so think that's the meds and nothing like how it was before. I've also had a couple of days of feeling a bit foggy-headed, like the feeling after a hangover has faded but you still feel a bit off, but again that's likely sleep related. When I got the BFP I only used cyclogest and now I inject Lubion as well, so if anything I would expect to notice more things not less.

All in all I am not very hopefully for a positive and holding onto hope gets harder each day because I keep thinking that if hCG was increasing I should be getting some noticeable symptoms. No sign of AF or cramps yet but I don't usually bleed until meds stop anyway, though sometimes I've had cramps from about 9/10 days.

As you can probably tell, I am properly driving myself nuts over here!

@lucymills1234 I really hope this is your round. The hangover feeling sounds quite promising. You are being very disciplined to wait 15 days.

All good with me, I had a BFP last round and am currently 10 weeks pregnant.

Hopeful199 · 27/04/2022 05:14

@lucymills1234 i really hope this is your round too 🤞🏻 🍀 it’s so hard not to drive yourself nuts!!! Keeping everything crossed for a BFP!

I am going straight into another FET. My bleed came after 4 days so back for a baseline today. I need a plan to help feel better. But I have a heavy heart this week and feeling scared this might not work 😞 I guessed the first round wouldn’t, but I felt good on the FET. Just don’t know what else I can do to improve chances….. and the doctors don’t seem to have any suggestions either?! It’s just such a hamster wheel

Lulu106 · 27/04/2022 07:55

@lucymills1234 I can see I am not alone with the MN technical issues - very strange.

@Bryterlayter1 congratulations to you!

I'd be really interested to hear if there is anyone else on the thread who is 42+ with MFI who has had any luck. In need of inspiration.

lucymills1234 · 27/04/2022 09:59

Hi @Hopeful199 it's really hard when your hopes are dashed... I have found that even if I try to manage my expectations, I still feel really really rubbish when I see that BFN. And yet, the next time the same happens all over again. I sometimes wonder if I am crazy/stupid for keeping going when nothing has worked yet.

How many blasts do you have in the freezer? I have done 4 collections, 7 transfers so far and 2 still in the freezer though not great quality. But I've had multiple AAs/ABs/BAs transferred and no joy from those, either. If this doesn't work, I wonder whether I should use them or consider going straight to donor eggs. Not what I wanted as I'm using donor sperm as well, but a baby is the main goal. I hope you get that plan in place soon...

@Bryterlayter1 congratulations! Some hope on the thread is always good to see :)

@lucymills1234 @Lulu106 @Hopeful199 I hope you're all ok

I'm about to start my second round of embryo banking after my first cycle wasn't as I had hoped 1 in the freezer . I've asked what I can do to improve my chances this time and they said they have increased my meds this cycle to help this.... I'm at a bit of a loss too and already feeling pretty rubbish before I even start . The pressure of everything else is just adding to it all so anything anyone has found to help this time I'd love to hear.

Big hugs to everyone xx

Hello not sure if this thread is playing up at the minute?? Hope you’re all okay ladies ? X

Hopeful199 · 03/05/2022 17:26

Hi @Pinklady81 hope you’re well

yes the thread was glitching for me too…. And also took a break over the bank holiday. Trying to hear myself up for a new transfer.

have you started the cycle yet? How are you feeling about it all?

@Bryterlayter1 Huge congratulations!!! So nice to see a good news story! Hope your feeling g well and all progressing ok.

@lucymills1234 I have done one collection with a fresh and frozen so far…. both BFN. I have 3 in the freezer but am also worried about the quality of what is left. I am currently planning to do back to back transfers with what’s left then one more round d of stims if I need to. Hopefully I won’t need it 🙏🏻 what day are you on now?

I have my follow up scan on Thursday and if all goes well start the progesterone again.

Lulu106 · 04/05/2022 08:51

Definitely seems to be an issue with MN. I can't post a message via the app so am using the website.

Hoping to hear lots of good news from you all this month.

Hello ladies, I'm thinking of IVF to conceive. Am 41. Had high fsh a couple of years ago. Do you mind if I ask what clinics you are with? And if you recommend them?
@99pctpractice hi - I was on the 40+ ttc thread... how is it going? Was your mc a natural conception in between ivf cycles?
