Not much planned for the weekend . I've just ripped our staircase to bits . So got some tidying up to do and a bit of painting to sort. Trying to keep busy.

So I've got an appointment with my GP on Monday for her to put in a new funding request. I had appointments with my gynecologist cancelled when covid was around so that cost us weeks before we were referred. I'm gonna get her to put all this in our application. We got referred to clinic in December and waited until June for our first app. If we were referred earlier and seen sooner we may have got 2 cycles in. So im requesting another to be funded. If the unit can blame covid then I can use it to my advantage (that sounds really selfish but hey).

I was meant to be going g out with friends and my sister for some food tomorrow night . But I really don't fancy it . So I've cancelled. Much to my sisters annoyance.! I have afternoon tea on Sunday so I'd rather do that than do both. I'm off sick from work so I don't really like parading about.

I spoke to my GP this morning who is going to out in a funding request. She is going to lay it on about cancelled appointments and waiting times and then I'm only qualified for one cycle. I doubt I will hear anything back.

I told her about the waiting time of April. And she suggested going private. She said don't wait if u can do it go private. So now I am looking for clinics in the North East area that I can go to .

It's so hard work, there is nothing local to where I live. ! I've rung 2 already and both of them have fobbed me off.

@Justawannabemam hey ! Can I ask why they have fobbed you off ? The 2 clinics ? If you going private why would they do that ? What was the reason ? Well , why don’t you go for the free nhs cycle as well as look at private’s ? Maybe you can get one cycle in before your free cycle ? Xx

The first one I rung said they are nhs only so maybe my fault for not checking and the second one just rhymed off a list of costs and told me to ring the clinic direct . Which was who I thought I'd rung .

We will still go for the NHS one . It was just was my GP suggested it I thought I might as well start looking in to it.

I really just want my clinic where I am to ring me and say yup we will see you as soon as you have your next cycle and it's either funded nhs or self funded.

You'd think if I'm willing to give them 7 grand they'd see me a bit quicker.

So some good news for us

I had an appointment appointment my GP on Monday and she has submitted a funding request. She has rung me this morning to say we have been approved 2 more cycles. We are over the moon. Obviously we need to wait for our follow up on 3rd December and see what the clinic say . We may still need to wait until April at the latest. Hopefully a bit earlier.

I hope your both getting on okay. ? Things have gone a bit quiet on here. There are a couple of groups I'm following . This journey is horrendous . One woman has had done wrong embryo put back in . The clinic told her she had one ready and one not so . And they've put the wrong one in poor lass is beside her self.

Hey ladies! Sorry have been a bit MIA, had been travelling up and down doing lots of DIY (tho I probably shouldn't really...) for home stuff! Been keeping busy.

@Justawannabemam so glad to hear your funding for 2 more cycles have been approved! One less thing to worry about. Hopefully you don't have to wait till April to start. Would you still consider trying to get a private one in if you can find a clinic?

I'm quite impressed with the midwives here, got a call to do my face to face with midwife but unfortunately I was busy on the day the gave me. They reassured me they didn't forget me but I didn't even expect them to call so soon! Was advised I'd get a call a week before scan, that's not for another few weeks.

All is well on my end tho! Just impatiently waiting for the 30th, then we can think about announcing.

Today is the first time I bought something for the nursery. It was an acorn from Jelly cat brand. It was an xmas version (mint green with glitter top)!!! I'm an all for mint green, so I definitely had to buy it ready for the nursery ☺️ I can't wait to actually start shopping!

@ngy21 we have thought about having a private cycle, and initially we were all for it. But ive spoke to the nurse and unfortunately if we have a private cycle we then loose our nhs funding. Which were butter sweet about really bitter in that we were only doing it because we were waiting so long, sweet in that the decision has been taken from us now. I think we would be silly to spend our money on possibly another 2 cycles when we can have them paid for. We will keep our money for if we need any egg doners as I don't think that's included. I dont know why . Bc that's cheaper that the full cycle but we'll see.

Glad everything is going well for you. It gives the rest of us hope that this can happen.
Someone has just asked me if I'm taking ubiquinol. I've googled it and it's Q10 . My GP suggested vitamin C and D. Have either of you heard of this Q10 ?

@Justawannabemam completely understand and agree with your decision, as if you needed to use the 2 free cycles, you can pay for it private for your 3rd (fingers crossed you won't need to!)

Thank you! I get the occasional cramping and pain in my upper stomach, think due to hormones affecting the way my intestines are... but other than that all seems good right now.

Yes i did take CoQ10! I took those along with my folic acid and vit D. Heard CoQ10 is good for your eggs? I can't remember exactly why as it's been a while. But i started taking this because of the book "it starts with the egg".

I stopped taking CoQ10 since egg collection, and since pregnancy have started to take the Pregnacare Max (thought i could get away with 1 pill a day, but turns out you take 2 big ones and 1 oil tablet.....!!!)

Ive ordered some of the Q10 . Some vit D and C. Folic acid. I'll be rattling lols . Holland and Barrett had some offers on . . Get my Other half on them. See if it puts a spring in the sperm .😂

@Justawannabemam thats not a bad shout! i had my husband on the wellmans conception for a good 3-4 months and it does contain CoQ10!

His been on them for months . Not sure how much it contains . He can try these see if it improves. Although we're having ICSI and it worked .

@Justawannabemam wow I’m so glad you got 2 more nhs cycle , this is excellent news ! At lest you don’t have to pay so much money if one of the cycle don’t work . And yes I also took Q10 before my egg collection . It seems to help me as I have 5 in the freezer
I will send you a picture of what I took it’s really good quality .
I had my scan today to check lining and all is perfect ! 8.4-9mm thickeness which is great ! Now waiting for call from clinic to let me know what to do next . Probably progesterone ect and to confirm my trasfer day date , I also have to do Covid test few days before my trasfer !

@ShareLove yep not long now! But first comes your ET!!! such good news your scan/lining is on track, i do suspect you will be back on the progesterone soon. Usually start it a few days before transfer?? Not long now! Can't believe its mid Nov already. It'll be your transfer next week, and week after will be my scan!

I got some off Holland and Barrett. And some vit c and D and folic acid . Inwas taking a multi vitamin but these might be better as individuals.

@ngy21 @Justawannabemam hey girls my trasfer is 23 rd of November , next Tuesday , starting progesterone tomorrow and estradiol tablets 10 mg , exiting stuff 😍 need to go in on Friday for Covid test have to book a day off work short notice

@Justawannabemam yes individual vitamins are better than multi 😊

@Justawannabemam normally I find that in multivitamins , you don’t get enough of one each vitamin , so It’s better off doing individual , xx

@Justawannabemam I take , vitamin C 1000mg , omega 3 , B- complex , and vitamin D3 + K2 I used to take Q10 too but now iv done egg collection I stopped it xx

@ShareLove 23rd Nov!!! less than a week to go! bet you are excited :) hows the meds? any side effects (esp the progesterone!)? i rmb you were on them before when you were meant to have your fresh transfer and you did all your pessaries at night in one go?!

symptom wise i am not too bad i dont think? occasional cramp but rarely... lots of burping and the other day i went to swim for the first time in 2 weeks and i had gas and had to burp, and some of my lunch made it back up.... i managed to keep it in but thought to myself oh god this is not the acid reflux is it....

but yea other than the burps... and sudden hunger, and headache last night, everything seems normal! i wouldnt have suspected i was pregnant.

My scan isnt for another 2 weeks! so a week after your ET, i think once i get that scan and hopefully everything is ok, xmas and new year will be a good distraction to pass a few more weeks. And my birthday is in jan (i'll be exactly 20 weeks, half way!) so then can start actually doing stuff to the house for the baby.

Do you think you will be impatient and test before OTD?

Hey both

I've not been on here much. I got back to work last week and I must say I felt better for it.

Counting down the days until we have a review on 3rd.

I'm still waiting a call from a Councillor. Which is a good job I didn't need one really. But I will make sure that I tell them. I'm all for for NHS and I hate it when people slag them off, but when I spoke to one of the nurses I was so upset on the phone and I was told to expect a call within a week.

Where are you both at atm? X I hope your both looking after yourselves .x

@ngy21 thank you I am well my trasfer should be mid afternoon tomorrow !!
My embryologist rang me today and asked which embryo I would like to thaw and it was so hard decision for me
I had ICSI one 3AA or natural ivf one 3BB and I went for ICSI one because it’s better quality , I’m now unsure if I made the right choice as natural ivf embryos are more naturally fertilised .
Hopefully I made the right decision . If it doesn’t work this time then I’ll go for the ivf embryo .
