Hey ladies ☺️

A new thread to continue the one we've maxed out from the FET cycle buddies May/June. Anyone wishing to join no matter what stage you're at we're here to support you along the way.

A little background around me - I have a little boy who's 16mo from my second IVF round in 2019. I'm just embarking (restarting after covid setback) on my first FET cycle with the embryos I have in storage in the hope for baby #2 🤞🏼
I have severe endometriosis, hydrosalpinx tubes which have been removed so my only hope is for IVF to work again. It's been a long old journey but if I can give any hope, faith and a tonne of support to anyone who needs it I'm happy to share my story, updates on my cycle and be there to have a general chin wag ☺️

We've got this! ✨ x

@Verbena87 Ah! How lovely to have all the fruits! We have a couple of strawberry plants and a pink gooseberry bush, but our apple and plum trees are still too small to produce fruit.

Its great you're starting your estrogen, you've got this!

Verbena87 · 27/05/2022 18:24

@2mumlife our plum is 3 years old and this is its first year with fruit on, super excited. An apple tree is next on my list.

Bluemeadowbaby · 30/05/2022 22:15

@2mumlife so glad to hear you're doing well! Almost the final stretch! I feel so happy for you! And yes I agree time out is much needed! I had an update this week from the spotting! I have a bacterial infection which upon further investigation may be linked to the chemical in November 🤦🏻‍♀️ it's annoyed me a bit as this simple swab could've been checked at the clinic when I mentioned spotting before! Urgh. But nvm it's done now. When are you due to take mat leave? X

@Verbena87 thanks for remembering about the move! We pulled out of the last sale there was too much damp and I couldn't risk it with my boy, plus the vendors were being awkward and wouldn't negotiate...but greedy if you ask me. But we've found another one that was actually the one we wanted, it came back on the market and funny story...a lady who was a customer of mine mentioned she was purchasing the house we dropped out of and the one we're now buying is the one she dropped out of! A very small world and the world works in mysterious ways indeed!
How are you getting on? X

@Bluemeadowbaby that’s so funny about swapping houses - hope all goes well with the one you really want. I’m ok, getting awful estrogen headaches from the meds but buggering on.

Bluemeadowbaby · 30/05/2022 22:27

@Verbena87 funny isn't it 🙈
Oh bless you, those headaches are bloody horrible! Lots of water! Sending lots of brain numbness your way 😄💕 x

@Verbena87 I'll live in hope that our plum tree will produce in the near future then :) How are you getting on? Hope the headaches have got a bit better - drink lots!

@Bluemeadowbaby What a strange house swap story! Glad you've ended up with the place you wanted though :) That's really frustrating about the bacterial infection. I'm just about finished a course of antibiotics myself after I had an evening of bloody urine and lower abdominal pain. Its all been a bit weird to be honest, as the next morning I was back to feeling totally fine but sent some urine in to my GP to check what was up. They detected blood but not other proteins the first dip stick, but some protein the second time. So after slightly odd phone call with GP to reassure him I could indeed tell the difference between blood in my urine and vaginal bleeding and didn't have any signs of anything more sinister they've been treating it at a UTI. Not planning on taking mat leave until couple of days before due date! But I work from home, and have a book chapter I need to write between now and the start of September 😯

Verbena87 · 09/06/2022 15:43

Lining scan today. Been a bit stressful because one of my ovaries measured bigger than expected (cyst/follicle?). However, they’ve done and reviewed a load of bloods following the scan, and advised me to start progesterone today and transfer will be Tuesday. Bit terrified my body isn’t in an optimum state and everything feels so high stakes with it being our last go, but trying to trust that they’d cancel the cycle if that was warranted.

Hope everyone is now infection free and doing well. Xx

2mumlife · 12/06/2022 12:53

@Verbena87 Keeping everything crossed for you for Tuesday. All you can do is try to stay as relaxed as you can - what will be will be in the end xxxxx

Verbena87 · 12/06/2022 16:50

Thanks @2mumlife - have had awful pains over the weekend so waiting a phone call with the consultant tomorrow morning to just check whether we need to do any more tests/checks before transfer. Bit weary with it all, it’s difficult to stay calm in the thick of things I find.

2mumlife · 13/06/2022 14:05

@Verbena87 Hope you've had a call back today. Its really tough wondering if everything is in the best possible place for the stars to align and it to work. Hope you can get some reassurance x

Verbena87 · 13/06/2022 18:29

Spent 4 hours chasing my telephone appointment today, and then our train to London was cancelled. BUT we are getting the next train and we are deffo ok to transfer. So. Breathe. 🤣

2mumlife · 14/06/2022 07:09

@Verbena87 Hope everything goes smoothly today. Everything crossed for a sticky bean 🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞🤞

Verbena87 · 14/06/2022 16:59

@2mumlife thanks so much. transfer was grand, so so so good to have my husband in with me.

on the train home now. Have had spotting and cramping which I know can be normal but feels a bit triggering after two fails where the same thing happened. Will be glad to get home and curl up in bed!

Bluemeadowbaby · 14/06/2022 22:05

@Verbena87 so glad transfer went okay for you!! Keeping my fingers tightly crossed and hoping you got that much needed feet up time 💕 x

2mumlife · 15/06/2022 14:48

@Verbena87 Great to hear transfer went well :) Hope you managed to have a relaxing evening yesterday. Take really good care of yourself over the TWW - lots of doing anything that makes you feel relaxed and calm :)

Verbena87 · 15/06/2022 17:07

Still spotting intermittently so feeling wobbly. I’m taking the rest of the week off so I can rest (as much as possible with a preschooler around!)

Bluemeadowbaby · 18/06/2022 08:35

@Verbena87 how are you getting on? Has the spotting stopped? X

Verbena87 · 25/06/2022 05:56

I’m out. Bugger bugger bugger.

2mumlife · 25/06/2022 08:35

@Verbena87 Oh hun :( I had been wondering how you were getting on. I'm so sorry its not taken. Sending you support from afar x

Verbena87 · 25/06/2022 15:55

@2mumlife thanks lovely. Both developed squinters of lines after the time. I think it’s a chemical but haven’t tested early so dunno really. Kicking myself in case I just needed a bit more progesterone support but all the what-iffery is academic now anyway.

Will do one more day of drugs and test again tomorrow/Monday morning to be sure but deep down I know. Heartbreaking.

On a jollier note, how are you doing? Hope you’ve not melted too badly in the heat (carrying a big baby over a hot summer nearly did me in!) xx

2mumlife · 25/06/2022 16:18

@Verbena87 Was today your OTD? Try not to get yourself bogged down in the 'what ifs'. Unfortunately I tested positive for covid yesterday, so not jolly over here either. Feeling really tired, heartburn is horrendous to the extent its making me puke again (probably from lying down so much) and terrified of reports of preterm labour, still births and other horror stories associated with covid in the third trimester.... can't believe of ALL the times to finally get covid..!

Verbena87 · 25/06/2022 16:35

@2mumlife oh absolute bugger, yes I would be anxious too (side note: my pukey morning sickness came back in the third trimester without any illness, so may or may not have just happened anyway.). Wishing you a speedy and uneventful recovery. We do seem to be in another big wave at the moment based on cases in school and our friendship group here.

OTD today yeah.

Leezo · 25/06/2022 17:58

I was wondering if anyone could help a gal out? I'm 11dp6dt with FET from DE. OTD today and I've produced this squinter.....refrained from early testing so have no comparisons. Do you reckon I'm looking at a CP? This would be 7th pregnancy, none getting past first trimester unfortunately.

Oh @Leezo we’re in the same uncomfy boat (I’m 11dp5dt FET with similar squinters today). I’m assuming chemical here but am going to do another 24 hours of meds and test again tomorrow or Monday morning. Sending a hand-hold and solidarity. It is shit. Xx

Verbena87 · 25/06/2022 18:59

Squinty squinty squint. Clearer in real life I think.
