Hey ladies ☺️

A new thread to continue the one we've maxed out from the FET cycle buddies May/June. Anyone wishing to join no matter what stage you're at we're here to support you along the way.

A little background around me - I have a little boy who's 16mo from my second IVF round in 2019. I'm just embarking (restarting after covid setback) on my first FET cycle with the embryos I have in storage in the hope for baby #2 🤞🏼
I have severe endometriosis, hydrosalpinx tubes which have been removed so my only hope is for IVF to work again. It's been a long old journey but if I can give any hope, faith and a tonne of support to anyone who needs it I'm happy to share my story, updates on my cycle and be there to have a general chin wag ☺️

We've got this! ✨ x

@Bluemeadowbaby yeah it’s crazy you go back and forth with symptoms. All I know is I started getting the rash flare ups since day 4 post transfer and although they have eased a bit they still come up on and off. I don’t have metallic taste really this time but that was something I noticed on my failed cycle but had heard it’s a good thing so I wasn’t sure if that’s a bad thing this time. Regarding constipation I definitely didn’t get that on my failed cycle but only had it after my hcg trigger shot and I had same thing yesterday but the urine issue I am feeling urges which I didn’t get in my first cycle during the day but I think I’m getting better at keeping it in now so hopefully that will start to calm down as well. I’ve also had mild cramping on and off since day 3 onwards and still felt it a few times today as well. It’s so hard to know what’s going to happen but I guess I just have to leave it in Gods hands now. Otherwise I will go crazy because it’s another 6 days to go!

Bluemeadowbaby · 11/03/2022 23:35

@Bluehawaii29 everything is sounding very promising indeed!! Especially the need to wee and cramps! 🤞🏼 keeping my fingers crossed for you - feeling things I tell myself is always a good sign! 🤞🏼🤞🏼🤞🏼 x

@Bluehawaii29 Haven't experienced a metalic taste at any point. I didn't feel any different in my BFP TWW than I did in my BFN TWW to be honest. I'd done better at convinving myself I was pregnant in BFN cycles than I did on the BFP - but also by that point, I just kind of assumed it wouldn't work and any 'symptom' was me wishing for something. I POSSIBLY was a bit more thirsty during TWW but thats about it. Only started to feel different after OTD. I'd try not to overthink it if you can - the cycle I relaxed was the cycle that worked for me :)

@Francesmalin Hope you've got everything sorted!

2mumlife · 12/03/2022 14:29

@Bluehawaii29 Managed to book a consultation for the 29th so will see what they say. I made shockingly few mature eggs on stims despite being younger and normal everything, so I know AMH really doesn't mean anything and the only way to really see is to give it a go. Its a bit crazy thinking about a sibling, but we've learnt this is a long and slow process, so it just seems kind of sensible to do the planning now

Bluemeadowbaby · 14/03/2022 21:41

@Bluehawaii29 how are you getting on x

@2mumlife very exciting to hear about the planning of a sibling! How are you getting on? X

Little update from me, I'm doing okay! I went back to work today and didn't cry 🙈 however I did go in on Thursday just to break the ice - I'm a sucker for a friendly face when I feel vulnerable - it went well, but I left with a broken finger!! Work were that mad at me for having time off they snapped it! Jokes aside... 😂 my wonderful little boy was playing under my desk while I was talking to my manager so I put my hand on the table to stop him bashing his head and BOOM! His fat head crunched my little finger to the table! 🥺 the pain distracted me from the endo pain man it hurt so bad!! Endo pains came back with full force on the weekend, I had to cut short a trip I made out of town to see a friend as I ended up hunched over in the toilet 🤦🏻‍♀️ I've spoken with my dr today about whether or not the endo needs to be treated again, he seems to think not as the endo pains seem to be bad only when coming off meds and not the ones in between so that's reassured me a little bit. He suggested the pain I'm having and the location is due to the scar tissue being left from the laps in 2018 as it was found in my bowels and my stomach they didn't remove from there as there wasn't a specialist present to perform the removal. He said so long as my endo pain is not in my pelvic area then it indicates 🤞🏼 it may not be there. I'm back on the progesterone only pill to halt periods and to halt more growth but have a scan booked in for august to keep an eye on my cysts as I had 2x 2cm cysts on my scan before transfer.
In a nutshell, all is well here. I still feel like turd about the cycle but am coming to terms with all is not done and I'm just waiting now for the right time to start fresh with funding from the house sale and I'll cross the bridge when it comes to it if it doesn't work after that 🤞🏼 x

@bluemeadowbaby thanks for checking in. Sore throat is gone but I have been in a really bad mood in the last couple of days. I think it's the fear that the period is coming soon. 😉

And you? How are you feeling?

Bluehawaii29 · 14/03/2022 21:53

@Bluemeadowbaby heyy thanks for asking, had a terrible night last night with heartburn and bad headache and couldn’t sleep till 4am so had to take afternoon off sick today, couldn’t carry on as an exhausted. Testing date on Friday but tonight I checked my Bp and it’s raised with flashing amber after checking it like 8 times, heart rate also not going below 80bpm. Feel lightheaded and dizzy easily and was bit breathless just on a short walk, so made me want to check as I have family history of cholesterol but my BP has always been good

2mumlife · 15/03/2022 10:12

@Bluemeadowbaby Great to hear your update (well, not the broken finger part!). A bit of a break from endo issues sounds like it would be good, and it feels like there is still options when the time is right. Keep us updated on how the house move goes - have you found your next property yet?

@Francesmalin Any better today?

@Bluehawaii29 Keeping everything crossed for Friday for you!

Bluehawaii29 · 15/03/2022 10:28

@2mumlife thank you! Nearly there now xx

Francesmalin · 15/03/2022 20:43

@bluemeadowbaby for some reasons your message from last night didnt show up in my feed until now. Glad to hear you went back to work. Hopefully it will help to distract you a bit. Take some time for yourself before thinking of a new cycle. It helped me a lot 😉

@2mumlife I feel much better today. I've also been very busy at work and went to play tennis and that helps. Last game though. The nurse said that I can't do any high impact activities when I start stims

Bluehawaii29 · 16/03/2022 07:15

Good morning all, just wanted to update you on our good news this morning. We are officially pregnant, 4 weeks and 3 days according to the FET calculator. Had 2 transferred with embryo glue on 4th march. Here are the results xxx thanks for all your support especially @Bluemeadowbaby@2mumlife
I know I caved in 2 days before OTD but even the nurses were telling me to do it so I just gave in and the lines came within seconds Smile

2mumlife · 16/03/2022 07:36

@Francesmalin Glad you're feeling better. Its getting real starting stims!

@Bluehawaii29 Congratulations! Really strong lines there! Does your clinic do a blood hcg to check levels? Or just a waiting game for viability scan?

Bluehawaii29 · 16/03/2022 07:48

@2mumlife thank you yes I’m pleased with the lines, no they don’t do blood test but said scan in 2 weeks I think so hopefully not too long. Not going to get wrapped up in numbers. Just going to try and let it go now and relax. My bday is coming up on 29th march. I can finally start getting life back xx

2mumlife · 16/03/2022 08:00

@Bluehawaii29 That's great you only need to wait 2 weeks for the viability scan. I found using the clear blue weeks indicator ones reassuring between blood hcg and when I was waiting for the viability scan (I had to wait 3 weeks or so, because of clinic being closed over new year) - I picked a day each week I was allowed to POAS and see if the weeks were increasing. Keeping everything crossed things continue to progress smoothly for you and that you can enjoy your birthday :)

Francesmalin · 17/03/2022 18:28

@Bluehawaii29 congratulations!!! 😍

Update from me: period came yesterday and I am starting medication today. I am on Dexamethasone and Letrozole and then in a couple of days I will start with pergoveris. Still taking growth hormones until the egg collection. Also had a baseline scan and I have 18 follicles on one side and 12 on the other + more probably hiding. The nurse was ready happy with the first scan. Keep all your finger crossed for me!

Bluehawaii29 · 17/03/2022 18:32

@2mumlife @Francesmalin thank you so much guys, just in dream state still at the mo but I still do the occasional test just to make myself believe it a little more x how are you guys getting on?
@2mumlife I remember you were on similar meds to me for your FET. I’m with NHS and they said after 12 weeks I stop the meds, it seems like they just stop it just like that? is there any dangers of this because I remember you saying you weaned off it? X

Bluehawaii29 · 17/03/2022 18:32

@Francesmalin will keep it crossed for you, that sounds like a great number! 🤞🤞

Bluemeadowbaby · 17/03/2022 18:39

@Bluehawaii29 this is amazing!! Huge congratulations 🥳 I love seeing those lines x

OP posts:
2mumlife · 18/03/2022 07:21

@Francesmalin wow loads of potential follies in there! Exciting you're getting started with stimulation now!

@Bluehawaii29 I was weaned off starting at around 11 weeks, and then fully off at 13 weeks. Lots of women are told to just stop though, and its totally fine. If you have a bit of extra medication you could always do a bit of weaning off yourself. It still doesn't really feel real to me to be honest yet, and that feeling of it not really being real is also super common

Bluehawaii29 · 18/03/2022 07:36

@2mumlife thank you, yes I might do what you did or ask you nearer the time in terms of weaning of the oestrogen tablets, progesterone will hopefully be ok to stop at once though as placenta should be fully formed by then xx
@Bluemeadowbaby thank you! Smile

Bluemeadowbaby · 21/03/2022 11:31

@Bluehawaii29 how are you feeling? I think if I remember rightly I came off my meds after being discharged from clinic between 8-12 weeks it was a case of just using the rest of what I had but they were reassuring all would be okay and it was for me as placenta was in place to take over x

Ladies, I have just received two lines on a friggin test but not the lines I wanted to see 🤦🏻‍♀️ hello covid round 2!!! I don't even know how I've got it but part of me feels a little like I'm glad I'm not pregnant and have covid! Popped an offer on a house and moving forward 🥰 I'll never say never to another round of IVF but this year I'm going to focus on what I do have and get myself feeling better physically and mentally! I'll be sure to stay on the group for the support and to hear your updates x

OP posts:
Bluehawaii29 · 21/03/2022 11:47

@Bluemeadowbaby hiya! Sorry to hear about the covid but you’re right that it’s good you have it now rather than if you were pregnant. I still get very worried about picking something up in these early stages. Have even had to move my bday treat which was musical in London to another time. My bday is next Tuesday and I’ll be 35, was looking forward to celebrating but we are just going to go to the cinema in the day and eat out now x I’m feeling ok thanks, just tired easily and still not great appetite but thankfully not bad nausea or vomiting yet. That’s good about your house and focusing this year on recovery. Keep in touch xx

2mumlife · 22/03/2022 07:03

@Bluemeadowbaby That's great about house, but what a bummer about covid :( I've still not had it and I feel like I'm just waiting for it now...

@Bluehawaii29 How long until your viability scan? My nausea kicked in pretty quickly after the BFP so your might find your plans change! (but then my nausea really hit in he evening rather than the morning)
