Hey ladies ☺️

A new thread to continue the one we've maxed out from the FET cycle buddies May/June. Anyone wishing to join no matter what stage you're at we're here to support you along the way.

A little background around me - I have a little boy who's 16mo from my second IVF round in 2019. I'm just embarking (restarting after covid setback) on my first FET cycle with the embryos I have in storage in the hope for baby #2 🤞🏼
I have severe endometriosis, hydrosalpinx tubes which have been removed so my only hope is for IVF to work again. It's been a long old journey but if I can give any hope, faith and a tonne of support to anyone who needs it I'm happy to share my story, updates on my cycle and be there to have a general chin wag ☺️

We've got this! ✨ x

@Bluemeadowbaby... I'm so sad to read this. U really have been just the pillar of support for us all and u really deserved this. I hope to read in the future that u have decided to have one last go. Its just all so unfair... Not only having infertility issues but the cost of having that privilege! Angry... I hope u can take some time out for urself today and care for urself. Wish I could give u a big hug xx

firefly37 · 08/03/2022 14:44

@Bluehawaii29... I'm 7dp3dt and anxious as hell... Starting obsessively testing yesterday but nothing yet. A 4BB is great! My son was a 4BB and my daughter a 4AA... And you have 2 in so u have a cracking chance. Fingers crossed for u x

Bluehawaii29 · 08/03/2022 14:50

@Bluemeadowbaby am really sad to hear this too. You really deserved that BFP and this is such an unfair process. Sending you lots of love and hope you can find it in you for another try some day Flowersxx

@firefly37 aww that’s great to know :) I’ve heard good things about them but when it comes to your own cycle I think it’s natural to see the negative side, or at least for me. Been trying to take my mind off it today though and enjoying some movie time and going to try a short walk now as much as my back permits. Thanks for your support xx

Bluehawaii29 · 08/03/2022 14:51

@firefly37 sorry forgot to say fingers crossed for you too! Are you resting on OTD. I’ve already said to myself I won’t test early this time and taken OTD off in case. Mine is ages to go yet on next Friday but hoping time will fly and then hoping it won’t at the same time

firefly37 · 08/03/2022 15:06

@Bluehawaii29... I was just told the standard 2 weeks then test. I got positives at 7 days past on my 5 day transfers... This is a 3 day so I imagine 9 days could be possible. I have loads of cheapy tests... Its a bit like pringles for me... Once i pop I can't stop. I held off for almost a week! X

Verbena87 · 09/03/2022 06:57

@Bluemeadowbaby I’m so sorry. Sending loads and loads of love. I had another appointment with the counsellor attached to our clinic yesterday and it was fairly helpful, so that might be worth looking into. She was saying that when a ‘final’ transfer doesn’t work out you face intense grief regardless of whether you plan to do another cycle or not, AND that it can be worked through but takes time. Hope you can find some chinks of light in your day. Have you got a garden? I always find getting my hands in the mud surrounded by growing stuff is magic for passing the time and getting through really hard days. Really am sending you the biggest of hugs.

Still no clue what I plan to do about transferring our last one. I’m scared of the finality.

2mumlife · 09/03/2022 07:47

@Bluehawaii29 Oh hun, the TWW is horrible isn't it? I was never good at keeping up the positivity during the wait, because you're right, it takes SO much energy. Remember to be kind to yourself - there is not right or wrong way to feel during the TWW. I know is so hard not to symptom spot, but all it does is drive you insane. Do anything that makes you feel happy or relaxed for the next week. Keeping everything crossed for you xxx

2mumlife · 09/03/2022 07:54

@Bluemeadowbaby I'm so sorry to hear your news. I always think you need to embrace all the disapointment and emotional tiredness of it all for a day, before trying to pick yourself back up again. I hope today is a little bit better than yesterday. I agree with @Verbena87 about the gardening - I find it really theraputic growing things. Sending you all strength in the world as you navigate the coming days.

@firefly37 Put down the tests I say - nothing good ever comes of testing early, as even if you do get that early BFP it only leads to obsessing over line progression. Keeping everything crossed for your OTD

firefly37 · 09/03/2022 12:15

8dp3dt and I have started spotting this morning :( not a lot but I've never had early spotting before so am assuming all is over. Very sad x

Bluehawaii29 · 09/03/2022 12:43

@firefly37 oh no I started spotting early on the fresh cycle, they said my progesterone wasn’t enough. What have you been on? Hope it’s a good type of spotting, don’t give up yet xx

@2mumlife thank you, yes I’m trying my best to reach OTD which is next Friday. Am battling with progesterone hypersensitivity rashes since 3 days post transfer. Consultant agrees that the rash looks related to the levels but it’s strange how it just triggered on day 3 so would be interesting if my level is going even higher because I am producing progesterone as well but trying not to overthink that either. Have some nausea today and continue to feel tired/ back ache. Just want to know the answer but will keep away from the tests x

firefly37 · 09/03/2022 12:48

@Bluehawaii29... Been taking Utrogestan 300mg in morning and 300mg eve. I took 400mg this morning incase the spotting was linked. Have been having cramping since Sunday so assumed that was the progesterone causing that and sore boobs... So I don't understand how it's dropped to bleed :(

Bluehawaii29 · 09/03/2022 12:51

Is utrogestan a pessary. I was on 400mg cyclogest pessaries which I think is similar. That was on my first cycle where I bled early with a progesterone of just 34 day 10 post transfer. This time I’m still taking the twice daily pessaries and Lubion injection in the evening. Maybe ask if they can give you im injections as they appear to be effective in bringing up the blood levels of progesterone fastest x

Bluehawaii29 · 09/03/2022 12:54

@firefly37 with higher doses of progesterone though my body seems to know have built a sensitivity to it and may be reacting to any natural progesterone I make which is proving to be a real pain 😔

Bluehawaii29 · 09/03/2022 12:55

Here’s an example of the kind of hive type rashes I been getting all over my body since Monday. They itch and burn like hell when they come but luckily calamine does soothe it. Not sure what I’m going to do long term on this medication though but will have to cross that bridge when it comes

@firefly37 @2mumlife @Verbena87 @Bluehawaii29 thanks so much for your support ladies 💕 I've got a counselling session this evening & my mum took my little boy for me today so I could have a day at home relaxing - I didn't relax tho, I'm one to get itchy feet quite quickly so I spent most of my day picking myself back up with some house blitzing, washing on the line and indeed @Verbena87 I did potter in the garden, so good for the soul! I won't let this cycle defeat me! No matter what the future holds I'm taking some time this year to focus on me. That being said, it's time I started loving my body - I don't dislike it, I just haven't fed it too healthy inside and out and I think I need to remember it really did create something so magical with my little boy and for that, I am eternally thankful. I'll take knock backs but I'll come back fighting 💪🏼

@firefly37 try not to count yourself out too early, a lot of embryos don't hatch from their shells until they're at least 5days and within a couple days after that to implant, with a 3 day transfer I'd see the timing as very good - with my little boy I spotted 3dp5dt he was almost hatching when I had him transferred and I tested positive 6dp5dt so I imagine the spotting was from implantation a few days prior (no expert like 🙈) - fingers crossed for you but I know counting yourself out early really does F with your head, hang in there! 💕

@Bluehawaii29 keep positive - who am I kidding tho, I did not take my own advice at all! 🤦🏻‍♀️ but try to remain as positive as you can, like @2mumlife says, do what makes you feel happy and relaxed. I've realised now I am absolutely awful with the TWW and I let it get on top of me far too much - one thing I have taken from this cycle is that no amount of stressing or wondering can change the outcome, that little embryo was destined to do what it was supposed to do and the same for you too but I hope the little one snuggles in! Have you done any testing or are you standing strong? X

Bluehawaii29 · 09/03/2022 16:19

@Bluemeadowbaby heyy glad you are finding some time for yourself, it’s good to do some things you enjoy. I’m ok thanks, day 5 right now and noticed a BIG increase in vaginal discharge (tmi) so much so that it’s hard to keep all the pessary in 🤣 I hope it’s a decent sign but not going to do any early testing this time. Holding out for next Friday test date as much as possible. Had two transferred on Friday and do feel different already compared to my fresh cycle but trying not to symptom spot too much. It’s very difficult though but been keeping busy with video games and just been back on the laptop doing my paperwork ahead of my work tomorrow so I think hopefully the time will go a bit faster now 🤞 x

2mumlife · 10/03/2022 08:04

@firefly37 I spotted (implantation bleed I think) at 5 and 6 dp5dt with my chemical pregnancy. Might be a sign good things are happening 🤞🤞

@Bluehawaii29 Having a rash doesn't sound fun :( Have you had sensitivity before? Being back at work will be a good distraction as well

@Bluemeadowbaby Glad to hear you're doing ok. You are stronger than you realise Star

Bluehawaii29 · 10/03/2022 08:18

@2mumlife hey not had the sensitivity before. Just triggered for first time 3 days post transfer. Still get some itching on and off but not as bad as it was day 4. Now I am day 6 and had some constipation this morning for first time and aversion to air freshener/ deodorant spray my husband used. Nearly threw up and couldn’t stop wretching when I came down! Hoping it’s a good sign 🤞

Francesmalin · 10/03/2022 20:01

@bluemeadowbaby i am sorry to hear your news. I know it's not easy but try to relax and hopefully the sale of the house means you can do a new round. We are here got you when you need us ❤️

@firefly37 and @bluehawaii29 are you getting close to test day? How are you feeling?

@2mumlife have you made any decision about the name?

I am on week 2 of growth hormones and my period is due in a week or so. I caught a bit of a sore throat probably because I didn't wear warm clothes on Monday when I went to play tennis with 0 degrees! I am getting paranoid that with a sore throat I am ruining my eggs or I might catch COVID or I need antibiotics! Tomorrow I am having one last dinner outdoor and then I will try and isolate before the stimulation start (and during).
Strangely I am feeling calm and that worries me... I am trying my best to worry or not stress but it's not easy! I have also told my manager that I am going IVF so he can jump on clients meetings when I can't do it and I can also take time off

2mumlife · 11/03/2022 11:45

@Bluehawaii29 Very interesting you've got a smell sensitivity! I never experienced that during TWW! 🤞🤞

@Francesmalin Nope, wont decide about name really until after the birth! I'm sure the sore throat wont make any difference - try not to worry. Exercise and fresh air are good for you :) Being calm and relaxed is an excellent space to be in. Will you continue with the growth hormones during stimming as well?

I think I mentioned awhile back we've been looking at options for a sibling in the future. My DP fianlly for AMH results back after a 4 week wait, and has high AMH for her age (37) so looking hopeful that her taking over the duty of producing eggs for embryos will work out well. Next step for us is a consultation to make some decisions about whether we do go down the route of putting her through an egg collection and freezing embryos now so we have them there to try for a sibling when we're ready

Bluehawaii29 · 11/03/2022 11:53

@2mumlife yeah the smell sensitivity is not too bad thankfully but getting more frequent waves of nausea now and definitely lower appetite. Constipation is still present but not as bad, managing to pass some with difficulty at least and been needing the loo like crazy, so much so that I have had couple of times where I’ve felt the urge like my bladder is full but then not much is coming. Already needed loo 5 x while working on my laptop this morning. Hope it’s a good sign but still a week to go till OTD. I’m glad your partner had good AMH. Mine was around that level too and I managed to get 8 eggs retrieved on fresh cycle with 7 fertilised. Exciting about planning for sibling!

@Francesmalin glad you are feeling a little bit less stressed about this cycle but try not to worry too much about the sore throat getting in the way. Good idea about having a meal out one last time. Our last meal out was last weds at beefeater a couple of days before transfer. Just been hibernating since x

Bluehawaii29 · 11/03/2022 12:25

@2mumlife just a q but do you remember how soon you got a metallic taste in your mouth if you did? Mine is very fleeting at the moment. Last night my tongue started randomly tingling and tasted a bit sour

Bluemeadowbaby · 11/03/2022 17:58

@Bluehawaii29 it's so hard not to symptom spot isn't it. I felt just the same as you this cycle needing loo all the time and metallic taste in mouth tho apparently the estrogen can do that to you - not to burst your bubble and I really do pray you get your bfp. With my little boy I didn't get symptoms until 6 weeks but hopefully yours are a good sign 🤞🏼 x

I had a bit of meltdown today over needles and syringes missing from my medication delivery!!! I guess the hormones are working 🤣🤣🤣

My sore throat is almost gone and I feel much better! Have a great week end everyone xxx
