Hi all, I had a search and didn't see a thread for September/October. If there is one already please let me know and I'll join. I'll be starting stims at the end of September/early October with the Lister. I'm pretty terrified tbh, would be happy to hear from anyone else starting around the same time. I'm a first-timer and we'll be having ICSI (possibly IMSI).

Well tbh when I went for my scan I had 4 eggs . And then it went to 6 on collection day . So maybe I wasn't on an amount that would have made much difference. We'll see . I am getting some little cramps, when I have a period I have bad period pains. So maybe I should think positive. And my boobs feel massive I mean they are massive anyhow . I'm a 34G . But jesus my nipples are so tender 😂.

Ahh you will get your positive one day. Weve said we will try an embryo doner and if that doesn't work we're buying an apartment abroad. I know it's not the same but I can bugger off when times are getting to me. X

Lilipa · 21/10/2021 14:59

@Justawannabemam Usually I have my blood taken in the morning and in the evening I have the results back. Fingers crossed for you to get a nice surprise next Thursday!

Aim2912 · 21/10/2021 19:27

@Justawannabemam I wouldn't rule anything out just yet. As I think it may just be to early for you. Try testing again in a weeks times. In the mean time focus on warm positive thoughts, do some yoga and relax.x

Justawannabemam · 21/10/2021 19:42

Thank you. I've not seen anything since. So im now I'm doubting if it was even anything. So bad for jumping to conclusions.

Thanks. I've never done yoga before. I enjoy taking my dog for walks in the wood . I've been out twice today. I fancy going the gym tomorrow . I might just nip up and do half hour on the bike . @Aim2912.

Soz everyone. with all the positives the groups had and here's me being negative. But thank you all for your reassurance. I shall put testing out of my head until next week. X

Justawannabemam · 22/10/2021 09:18

So I was advised to ring the unit

The lovely nurse said it could be old blood, that's been sat at the top of vagina or from the womb from egg collection. The fact I'm having no pain is good and she says it would be too early to have a period type bleed. So if gers crossed its a bit of spotting Panic over .

I think I'll have a MN free weekend .

Hope your all doing well and have a lovely weekend x

Aim2912 · 22/10/2021 14:55

@Justawannabemam that's good you got some reassurance, and can have a nice weekend.
No need to apologise, thats what these forums are for, getting support for our 101 different thoughts and emotions we go through and letting it out. Have a lovely weekend. X

We had our appointment this morning and it was confirmed that there's no viable pregnancy. It looks like the embryo did implant for a little bit but just didn't make it in the end.
Besides that, everything looks very healthy and my body is already producing new follicles ready for another go. We'll try it the old-fashioned way until our second round in January. The doctor said she'd adjust my medication to try and help out my eggs. They seem the only thing that's causing a little issue at this point. Everyone else, who is still waiting, I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.

At least I'll be able to have mulled wine when wandering around the Christmas markets now...Grin

Lilipa · 22/10/2021 15:28

@Dizzyhedgehog I'm sorry to read these news. Good that you're seeing the positive side of it though!! Hopefully the old fashioned way will work for you before January and you'll have good news to share with us soon!

Alexm06 · 23/10/2021 09:06

Hey guys I wounded if you could help me. I did a test yesterday afternoon which was negative and today is my test date so I did a test this morning with a clear blue (same as yesterday evenings one) and I saw a very very faint line so thought oh it's an evaporation line but i went out to get some first responses just to put my mind at ease and there is a very very faint line as well. Now I'm guessing it must be a chemical as it's should be darker by now? I've never had a chemical so I'm not really to sure what it looks like. I'm trying not to get my hopes up.

Justawannabemam · 24/10/2021 02:53

I dont know the answer to your question @Alexm06, I've never had a positive yet. But I hope it turns out a BFP for you. Fingers crossed . Hopefully one of the others will be able to help.

Alexm06 · 24/10/2021 08:24

@Justawannabemam thank you but it was a negative or an even fainter line this morning so yeah was a chemical. Pretty much to the exact day I found out we lost the first pregnancy a year ago. Feel like life's just playing a cruel joke on me.
Thank you for replying

Justawannabemam · 24/10/2021 08:41

@Alexm06
The nurse at my clinic said the 2ww is the worse. And with 5 days left I can 100% agree. I've had brown discharge for 3 days . I am just waiting for one day to go the toilet and there be red blood. I have this discharge before my cycle starts. I am so tempted to test again,m but my partner is adamant I'm not. So in the morning I get up and go straight for a wee so I'm not tempted to collect it.

I'm already thinking about our next cycle or what we can do next. We didn't have alot of eggs collected and boyfriend has a low sperm count, we were told we would only have one go at IVF so we're either thinking of egg doner with his sperm. Even thou it was low its working or an embryo doner . Both of which we will have to fund ourselves.

Will you have a go again? I admire people who are on there 4/5th go. Are you nhs or self funded ?

Take care . X

Alexm06 · 24/10/2021 08:55

@Justawannabemam oh wow that's a tough. Was it the NHS that only let you have one go? You need to do what you feel is right. I mean if his sperm is working even if it's low that's good!
Yeah we have one more frozen left. We had 6 collected from this cycle 5 were 4AA which only this one tried to implant and the last one is 4AB. It will be my 5th transfer I will probably do one more fresh round and then think of other options. The other 4 transfers have been nhs and used our 2 fresh cycles. The first fresh I only got one embryo which I ended in a miscarriage. So yeah from now on we are self funded.

Justawannabemam · 24/10/2021 09:08

@Alexm06 so ive just gone 40 that's the cut off age. We waited a while bc of covid, so I dont know if that will be taken into consideration and maybe given another. When we had transfer day they took these factors (age and low figures from us both, sorry I forgot to say we only got 6 eggs collect and 4 were mature enough and only 2 fertilised) so they recommended we put both back on . They were 3BB, which I'm told is good. I guess of we had bigger numbers they may consider it but I have a feeling that they won't. And that's fine with me.

I dont know if someone who has donated eggs will they be checked before fertilisation for quality? We've kinda said we can do 2 cycles ourselves, as we think there has got to be some cut off point and normally people get three chances so were gonna give ourselves the same chance.

Justawannabemam · 24/10/2021 13:56

Well I done it

I tested early . Due to test Thursday, his gone out to watch the football so I though F it he won't know !! And I have a positive now before I build my hopes up. I assume this cannot be the trigger shot as that has been over 2 weeks ago. And this wasn't my first wee of the day.

Lilipa · 24/10/2021 14:16

@Justawannabemam you must be so excited. Congratulations! Are you taking blood tests as well to confirm the pregnancy?

paintfairy · 24/10/2021 14:30

@Alexm06 I'm sorry. How disappointing. I hope you are OK.
@Dizzyhedgehog look after yourself xx
@Justawannabemam wow! Congratulations! That's brilliant news.

Does anyone know if being ill impacts on ivf? I've got a really bad cold. I'm day 5 of stims today (long protocol). I'm just hoping my eggs feel better than I do! 🙈

Justawannabemam · 24/10/2021 14:45

Well the clinic told me I wouldn't bc they arent doing them as there is a shortage of blood bottles. But maybe if its a positive I'll go to my own GP. Let's hope it sticks xx

@paintfairy I felt rubbish . Are you on bursellin? I had migranes, so tired . Lucky I like afternoon naps . Hopefully as you continue your body will get used to it and your symptoms will pass. X

Sarah2328 · 24/10/2021 15:00

@Justawannabemam congratulations that's amazing news, fingers crossed it stays that way for you 😘 x

paintfairy · 24/10/2021 15:31

@Justawannabemam yeah I'm on buserelin which is crap. So having a cold as well - I feel horrendous.

Aim2912 · 24/10/2021 15:55

@Justawannabemam congratulations! Great news!

@paintfairy I felt crap on buseline to. It will pass. Rest up and drink loads. Have stuff the will give you body energy to grow those follicles. X

Justawannabemam · 24/10/2021 16:20

Thanks

Do we all think the trigger shot will be well Gone?

I used a 5 day early response test so I'm gonna order some more . Just to quadruple check

paintfairy · 25/10/2021 10:36

@Justawannabemam hard to tell but that's why they tell you not to test early. Everyone is different. The only way to be sure it's not the trigger is if you tested it out. How early have you tested? I think slightly is ok.

Justawannabemam · 25/10/2021 11:17

@paintfairy I did do one last week but it wasn't early detect its been over 2 weeks now since trigger. OTD is Thursday this week. X
