Hi all, I had a search and didn't see a thread for September/October. If there is one already please let me know and I'll join. I'll be starting stims at the end of September/early October with the Lister. I'm pretty terrified tbh, would be happy to hear from anyone else starting around the same time. I'm a first-timer and we'll be having ICSI (possibly IMSI).

@Lilipa I've been having cramps on and off - I think it's quite normal. Are you on progesterone at all?

Yes, I'm taking both progesterone tablets as well as injections. How about you? Could the progesterone injections cause the cramps?

@Lilipa I don't have many cramps at all really. Last time I had some so I think it's the progesterone. I've also started a new job this week so not sure if because I'm distracted I'm not noticing the cramps haha but yeah i feel fine totally normal

My 3 year old daughter is definitely keeping me busy so I've just felt the cramps at night when relaxing at bed. Are you going to measure HcG levels through blood test? I wish you the very best of luck!

I'm due back at work next Saturday. But I don't know if to extend my sick note bc if its negative I really won't want to be at work . And then that's another period of sickness. Any thoughts?

My sick line takes me to a week after my test date as if it was negative I knew I'd need some time to process things.

I didn't have injections but I've started taking utrogest and I'm supposed to keep going until at least the end of next week.
I had the day of the egg collection off but have been to work throughout. (Well, we are on half term and I've had a really annoying cold but wouldn't have needed any time off because of the ivf, really.) It keeps me occupied, which I think is helpful. I guess it depends on how you cope with setbacks. I'm pretty certain it will be negative next week, despite there always being this tiny bit of hope. However, I've been going through this month after month for most of the past 10 years, so I'm managing quite well by now. I'm starting back at work the weekend after we get our final result, so we'll see what happens then.
Good luck, though, and if you need to take time off, you should take it. My employer is really good with this and they are generally supportive. On the other hand, I also only try to take off as much time as I really need. (I love my job, so I'm quite happy going in unless I'm feeling absolutely shite.)

I'm struggling with headaches. Has anyone had them on buserelin? That's all I'm using atm until my baseline scan next Wednesday.

@Dizzyhedgehog thank you. I like my Job but ive not told 1 person from work. They aren't very good at keeping things confidential. But I think I will tell my supervisor and clearly stat I want nothing wrote down. He will name authorise me some leave or I can get another sick note. I know I will be upset. Thing is I'm meant to be going out with my friends the day before test date . So im either gonna go, not drink (obvs) and tell everyone a white lie. Or cancel. But they are going to see dirty dancing the musical and i really want to go.

Try and be positive. Its in the hands of the god now so see how things go. X

@paintfairy yeh I had really bad heads. Was so tired. I was having 2 hour naps throughout the day . Which I quite enjoyed. Hope things pick up soon for you. The outcome will be worth it .x

@Justawannabemam I don't feel that tired yet, its just the headaches. I was ok to start with but I can't say I'm looking forward to several more weeks on it. Never mind the rest of the drugs.

Well that's 2 gone back in . Thery were graded B and they recommended both transferred for a number of factors

Most painful thin was needing a wee. Hahaha . Can test 28th .

Ahh yeh she said 3BB . I've not looked to much into that . She said they were both good and progressed as they should. She showed us them on the I pad . And then we got to see them going in .
Where have u had your treatment . This was at gateshead . Which I 110 % recommend if anyone is in the North East.

Hi everyone, it sounds like everyone is moving forward - I’m looking forward to hearing everyone’s good news (fingers crossed). Finding progesterone a bit grotty here - I feel like I’ve been about to have the worst period ever for about a week. Still test day on Wednesday so at least I’ll know from there. Hope you’re all well. X

@RoddyRoo I've been on it for a week now. My stomach is bruised and feels so hard . I won't miss doing them. But all for a good cause .

I've decided to stay off work u til at least test day. I'll have to find some tasks to do . I'm getting a bit bored now.

Does anyone know if I would have a misleading pregnancy test result if I'm on progesterone and estradiol tablets only? Worth mentioning that I haven't taken any other drugs the past 3 weeks.

If they are the only two drugs you are on then no. Unless you've had a "booster" which contains hcg

@Justawannabemam you poor thing, sounds like I should stop whinging I’ve only got pessaries so I’ve left the delight of injections behind this cycle. Keeping busy sounds good but rest is important too so do be kind to yourself x

@RoddyRoo only 3 days left and you can test . Will you hold out until then or will you test early ?

@Justawannabemam I’m happy to wait, I’d rather have an outcome I’m definite of and I’d only question it either way if I tested early, how about you?

@RoddyRoo my test is Thursday 28th, but I have a few things on that day so I might do it the day before. But I will wait n see. I've I've ring the hospital on the day before 9am . But my boyfriend says he won't want to go to work if its not what we are hoping for.

@Justawannabemam very difficult! I always feel not knowing is better than knowing sometimes, its a shock when you get an answer. But I don't think I'd want to go to work either if it wasn't the right answer.
@RoddyRoo agree- no point doing it if its questionable, because you are no further forwards with knowing at all.

Couldn't help myself and wait till beta hCG and I did a first response pregnancy test. It has a very faint line that appeared about 4 minutes after I took the test. I hope it's true that I'm pregnant! Did my frozen blastocyst transfer on the 13th of October, so 5 days ago.
