Thanks @morganablue that was super helpful! And yes it is totally crazy you walk in there not knowing at all. I've been reading this IVF diet book by Zita West and there is this line where she says don't worry IVF is free on the NHS blah blah and then after your egg collection they'll keep you updated the whole time on how they're progressing. I was like clearly you don't know anything about NHS IVF haha.

Yes for sure @HereToLearnAndShare , such an amazing bond has to continue!

@Vparisi just don't know why I didn't think to "chill out" along this whole process, wouldn't it have saved so much stress? 😂😂 I can laugh a little now but AF came this morning so I had an actual crying hormonal breakdown yesterday that you'd both had a call & I hadn't. Fingers crossed they call today, if they haven't called by the end of the day I think I'll email - or do you think give them a bit longer?

@Etonmess20 I know right! And I know it must feel horrible, AF or not. I really think you're close though. I would call at the end of the day, when I called last week they were really nice. I think the key is keep chasing even if you feel annoying.

@EmJay19 mine was back in June, I'm 7 weeks 3 days pregnant. Still hanging around to cheer everyone on and update them on what happens next after a bfp.
@Vparisi haha yep the nhs only tell you on a need to know basis and even then it can still be like pulling teeth 😬

@becarefuloutthere I totally get that, as it takes so long to get to that stage, that one wants all the reassurance.
Knowing myself I'll get the reassurance private early scan alongside, just to keep my shit together until NHS scan. One curiosity, after your BFP, do they tend to scan you on week 7 or 8? And do you count weeks from EC? (Like they scan you 4 weeks after POAS day!
Sorry, I have so many questions!

So I'm just on hold with them now, they're trying to tell me @Vparisi is having different treatment to me (pretty sure that's not actually true!) & that I could be waiting upto 16 weeks from appointment date.
Trying to keep cool but verrrrrrrry difficult as this just doesn't feel fair to me - he's gone to ask someone else if there's a more specific timeline I can expect 🤦🏼‍♀️

@Vparisi yeah we're both having short cycle. He's told me there's 25 people ahead of me on the waiting list so they won't be contacting me for another month
Honestly I don't know whether to scream or sob. He said I could email the IVF nurses to confirm with them (but said I didn't want to as they were so rude to me both times) or I can complain to PALs. I just don't know what to do but this seems to unfair to me

@HereToLearnAndShare are you also short protocol? Your original appointment was late April wasn't it?

@morganablue it's 3 weeks after transfer so you'll be in week 8. I'll be 7+6 as i tested 2 days early and was so excited to call and tell them and get the scan booked in! Yeah so you're 4 weeks pregnant once you test as they add on another two weeks to take into account your last period. Ask away, I don't mind at all! 😊

Yes, my original appointment was end of Apr and we heve been added to the list on the 30th Apr
I am on short protocol too.

I spoke to may be the same guy last guy and he couldnt provide any info, just said I should send an email...

Are you @Vparisi doing freeze all cycles?

@Etonmess20 honestly it is totally unclear to me. It wasn't discussed ay my appointment and then I got the letter and it says this which makes it sound like it's freeze all? But I also can't see any reason they would do freeze all if I didn't get OHSS and I never got an answer. So in my mind it's fresh but I still can't figure out this wording.

@Vparisi @HereToLearnAndShare do we think that could be considered "different treatment" & explain the disparity in timescales?
What would you do if you were me?

@Etonmess20 I think we could definitely be classified as different treatment if it was freeze all vs not freeze all and that would make a lot of things make sense. Does that letter to you suggest it is definitely I don't want freeze all though? If so I don't understand given we are same age and I don't have particularly high AMH (19) why I have to do freeze all. For me I am interpreting that as offer to do it if OHSS occurs.

So yeah in my view not different treatment. I think you should directly reply to the email where they told you it was a couple of weeks and say you haven't heard anything yet so just following up etc as your cycle starts on x Aug.

@Etonmess20 it seems the internal communication is not very poor as they provide different information all the time. It could be that rhis guy is just not informed. So I would maybe wait a few more days to reach the 10th week. Then will call again and send an email to ask how is possible to have 25 before you after 9-10 weeks wait. If they rude again I would send a letter of complain or contact PALs

@HereToLearnAndShare @Vparisi thanks girls, I've literally been all over the place this afternoon with all this. Genuinely feel devastated to be awaiting a call imminently to basically be told it'll be another month of waiting. My DP has basically said "it'll be when it'll be" & there's no point stressing myself over it which I do agree with but honestly I'm so so gutted. I just don't get how this is a different waiting list with 4 weeks of extra waiting 😭

@Vparisi if I'm honest, I don't think it sounds like they're offering you a freeze all - it kind of seems as though that's what they've put you down for. Are you dead against freeze all or just would prefer not to?
