@thislittlebird no trigger last time... but I was not ovulating much but this time because I am ovulating every month they have just refused...are you being seen at guys?
I am trying to find a private obgyn but the last one I saw was linked to guys and wanted to send me for some relaxation course instead...when you are trying for over 18months that is the last thing you want to hear!

thislittlebird · 03/09/2021 12:30

@PicoUK75 we’re on the guys ivf waiting list, but before that we were planning private and one of the doctors (who was amazing, but retired last month) said to try a medicated induction ovulation cycle. She was at the Lister but carried on with them with a new doctor once she retired and it was on my file so they arranged it for me very quickly this week. Obviously not cheap for a medicated, monitored cycle but if it was to work it would be amazing, it’s been nearly two years now.

PicoUK75 · 03/09/2021 12:48

@thislittlebird thank you. I might check this clinic. Are you also having unexplained fertility? Or are you having issues with ovulation? Obviously you don't have to answer these questions as it is quite personal!!Smile

thislittlebird · 03/09/2021 13:25

@PicoUK75 it’s fine, I don’t mind saying. My husband has MFI (low motility, so Letrozole might not work for us anyway, but his motility improved recently so it’s worth a shot) and I have very low progesterone so we think I might not be ovulating because PCO/S. Need to try to keep my expectations low!

Sarah2328 · 03/09/2021 15:59

@Vparisi hey hope your well, do you have a contact number within the IVF department to make a complaint.

If I can remember correctly you had some troubles with them?

I am currently into week 10 to start treatment, I emailed on the 31 July for an update and was told I would receive a call within the next few weeks to plan my treatment.

I have emailed them today and have been told due to staff shortages of staff in the embryology lab I should receive a call next month to arrange treatment

This is just not fair

Vparisi · 03/09/2021 16:03

@Etonmess20 I am staying positive for you!! You're doing amazingly to wait it out til Sunday. That is admirable patience. Hope you can keep distracted til then xx

@Sarah2328 the number is 020 7188 2300 , and go option 1 for ACU then option 2 for nurses. Otherwise I think @etonmess20 had good luck with CC'ing in the complaints department in an email.

@thislittlebird ugh that is a long time, hope you have some success in the meantime with the medicated cycle!

Sarah2328 · 03/09/2021 16:07

@Vparisi thank you so much

@Etonmess20 how did you get on with an email to them

HereToLearnAndShare · 03/09/2021 16:33

@Etonmess20 try to think positive! Some ladies here said that symptoms come and go, so try not to stress about that! I am impressed with your determination to wait until Sun, but as its a fresh transfer I assume an early test could show incorrect result, so I think its a wise decision to wait! Sending you love and positive thoughts ❤️

@Vparisi if my period gets back to normal I will be starting around 29 Sep, so yes more or less the same time ☺️

@Sarah2328 I had a similar thing to you & emailed [email protected] & said the wait was over & above what they'd said, communication from the ACU had been rude/abrupt, someone else whose appointment was the same day as mine had already had treatment scheduled & then said the wait was hard enough without this etc etc. I got a very swift reply & the complaints team followed up to check I was happy with the reply. It's definitely worth an email, for clarity more than anything. It's not good enough that they're only letting people know about these delays when they chase because they're already on/over the time frame they were quoted.

@HereToLearnAndShare @Vparisi thanks ladies, it's been really tough actually & you naturally over analyse every symptom. I think what's kept me from testing is how gutted I know I'll be if it's BFN - I actually feel scared to test. After so long TTC I almost don't believe we'd even get a BFP so it isn't an expectation for me.

Rj1988 · 03/09/2021 18:57

Hi ladies, just got the blood results and my HCG is on the low side
it came back as 267 for 18dpo or 13dp5dt

@GJW2018 - do you remember how much was yours around that time??

I have been looking online and women have reported HCG > 1000 around that time so just feel mine is really on the low side

Sarah2328 · 03/09/2021 19:03

@Etonmess20 @Vparisi thank you so much ladies I’m currently in the process of sending an email to the complaints department. It’s not fair for them to get our hopes up to start a cycle for it to be delayed, it’s hard enough having to go through the process

GJW2018 · 03/09/2021 19:20

@Rj1988 I remember googling hcg numbers to within an inch of their life. My understanding is that there are people with low numbers that go on to have successful pregnancies the most important thing is that it doubles every other day so maybe get another one and see if it has doubled? Mine was a hundred and something on the Monday and three hundred and something on the Wednesday. I don’t think initial number is an issue it’s just that it’s going up at the right rate xxxx

GJW2018 · 03/09/2021 19:23

Also just FYI for all of you those clear blue weeks ones are really inaccurate. The week after we found out mine read 2-3 weeks then stayed on this the following 3 weeks which really worried me. It says it goes on to 3+ weeks when your hcg is over 2500 I had a blood test a few weeks in and my hcg was over 5000 and it still showed 2-3 weeks. They just cause unnecessary stress!

Rj1988 · 03/09/2021 19:45

@GJW2018 - thanks for your quickly reply. To be honest I am freaking out a bit and thinking if it's an ectopic pregnancy or not. I am looking at other clinics where I can test my blood again but it's so difficult to find anything open on weekend. Some places are doing blood on Saturday but they will not be able to get the results by Monday or Tuesday sadly

preggermum · 04/09/2021 03:28

Hello everyone,

We got our hcg levels repeated and they are dropping from previous reading so it's a chemical pregnancy for us.
I feel so devastated but I am not going to give up complete hope and try for another Ivf cycle.

I will be taking a break from this app so thank you ladies for all your support so far and wish you all the best

Etonmess20 · 04/09/2021 07:30

@rj1988 I'm really sorry to hear this, sending lots of love ❤️ take care x

Etonmess20 · 04/09/2021 07:31

@Sarah2328 no I don't disagree, their communication was awful before I started my treatment & it very much depended on who responded to your email/picked up the phone & that's just not right. Hope you get a quick response at from them

Vparisi · 04/09/2021 10:00

@Etonmess20 totally understand that. Hesitant to say stay positive cos it can go either way but I hope with all my heart it is a BFP and we are here for you if it isn't ❤ p.s. nearly your birthday - last one of the 20s!! I was told now you have to make a bucket list for 30 haha. Only one thing on there for us really isn't there..

@rj1988 so so sorry to hear that. It's such a hard process. Take some time to look after yourself and we will be here when you are back ❤

Etonmess20 · 04/09/2021 10:05

@Vparisi thank you, it really means a lot! It's been so difficult with second guessing the symptoms but either way we find out tomorrow & what will be will be!
Yeah super exciting, also going away on Wednesday so plenty to look forward to even if there's no good news tomorrow!
Hahaha yeah definitely only one thing on my bucket list although I definitely hope we get that before we're 30 😂
How are you feeling about your FET? Getting impatient to start?

HereToLearnAndShare · 04/09/2021 10:52

@rj1988 so sorry to hear that! Stay strong, take a break and hopefully next cycle will be successful!
